Quickey little thing
I wanted to try a thing that -AuroraBorealis- was doing. It's an egg contest thingy? I don't know. Well i thought I'd try this for egg number 1. *clears throat*
Stargazer walked through the moonlit forest, two of Pyhirra's moons shining their silver light onto her midnight blue scales. She looked to the sky, her breath billowing into the crisp night air.
She sighed and closed her eyes with a smile. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open as the snap of branches was heard, followed by a screech and a 'thump'. She turned around to see her mate, Python the sandwing, hanging suspended above the forest floor by some vines.
"Starrrrrrrr, heyyyyyyy," he said awkwardly, flashing her a sly grin,"I, uh, just got a little...... Stuck while climbing?"
"You were following me again, weren't you?" Star said, giving him her own sly smile.
Python's dark eyes widened, "Maaaaaaaybe~"
Star smirked and cut the Sandwing loose, letting him fall to the floor. He shot to his feet.
"Thanks." He said, walking to stand beside her.
Stargazer nodded and smiled as she walked with him through the forest, the sky giving way to dawn. Star saw something twinkle off to the side and stopped moving. Python stopped too.
"What is it, Starry?"
"I think I see something."
Star crept towards the twinkle in the bush. She pushed some ferns apart and walked forwards. She looked around and suddenly screeched as she plummeted into a hole.
"Star!" Python yowled, jumping down after her.
Star groaned as the Sandwing landed on top of her,"Python! Get off of me please."
Python jumped off, embarrassed. Star stood up as well and opened her eyes. She gasped as she found herself gazing into a cavern full of glittering crystals. She and Python walked down the tunnel, admiring the different gemstones embedded in the rock wall.
"This must have been an old mine that was never fully cleaned out." Python explored.
Star nodded in agreement. She looked forwards again and her jaw dropped.
"Python! Look! Hurry!" She shouted to him, running to an open part of the cave.
The two dragons rushed forwards into a part of the cavern where moonlight filtered into a cave filled with glowing gems and lush ferns. In the center was an egg: an egg that looked as if it had been dipped in liquid opal. It reflected pearly white, pink, and light turquoise.
"What the heck?" Python remarked, picking up the egg cautiously.
Star looked down and picked up the egg. She held the egg towards the moonlight, smiling as she thought she could see the tiny shape of a living being inside.
She turned to Python with her eyes glittering, a wide smile of affection on her face,"I want to take care of this egg."
Python looked at her as if she had suddenly become a Seawing,"You sure? What if the mother returns?"
Star looked back at the egg,"I don't think she will. I feel as if this egg and I were meant to be, like I'm connected to it."
Python walked over and nuzzled her, wrapping his wings around her,"Then I will take care of it as if I were the father," he said to her affectionately, the egg cradled between the two dragons.
Star smiled and laid her head on his shoulder,"I know you will," she said as the two dragons snuggled in the early dawn light.
Le End
Welp. Here it is. I felt the feels writing this. Gah! I'd love if Python and Starry could have their own bab. UvU
But, that's up to Aurora~
