The Meeting
A.N:// Starflight is not blind in this.
Tsunami was pacing, I am going to kill Deathbringer. I can't believe Glory let him knock her up. Tsunami kicked a rock, sending it flying. Her blue gills flared. White pearls were jiggling on her neck and horns.
Riptide looked in in fear, he'd never seen her like this, his wife could be absolutely terrifying at times, but right now her silent pacing was the worst outcome. He made a mental note to high five Deathbringer's dead body once Tsunami was through with him.
Clay's wing tucked around Perils waist, smiling to himself as he watched Riptides pathetic attempts to calm Tsunami down. He chuckled softly, it looked like him discovering the prey centre had ran out of livestock, and Peril's pathetic attempts to calm him down. He drooled.
Peril sighed into Clay, she'd wanted a dragonet for ages, but Clay was petrified of the idea, if Glory of all dragons could have one, why couldn't she? Peril plucked a daisy from underneath the rock she was sitting on. She watched in crumble to ashes with a worried look. She hoped that her dragonets would be fireproof. She didn't want to know the consequences if not.
"Starflight, calm down. You're being a squid brain." She loved Tsunami's insults too much to not use 'squid brain' every now and then. Fatespeaker attempted to sit him down. Sighing she gave up. Her dragonet- Faithseeker, was tucked under her wing. She hugged her closer, Glory and Deathbringer had a bundle of joy too now. It was just Sunny and Jambu, Fatespeaker and Starflight and Glory and Deathbringer with dragonets, she hoped the others would hurry up at have them.
Starflight was to worried to calm down.
"Glory-" he shook off the thought. Why had she let him knock her up? Great, he was probably thinking like Tsunami. At least they were married, unlike himself and Fatespeaker.
Sunny laughed at the others faces, Jambu had reacted just like this.

The jagged peaks of Jade Mountain could be seen now, reaching towards the sky like unsure, wobbly talons. Glory, Deathbringer and Soulfollower were flying towards Jade Mt. With Deathbringer carrying Soul it took a little longer, they had sent Jambu and Sunny ahead, who were complaining with their speed, Jambu for moons sake. She looked over at her son, he was tucked into a ball, obviously hating the sensation of flying, her poor dragonet was on the verge of crying.
"Deathy stop, we need to land." They hovered.
"Why?" She gestured to Soulfollower.
"He's scared, almost crying. I feel like we need to stop and calm him down." He nodded
"Alright." They dived, aiming for the blue stream. Deathbringer gestured for her to land first, probably so she could take Soulfollower off his talons. She followed his instructions and landed lightly on the plush green grass. He hovered for a moment, Glory took their son and hugged him tight. He cried.
"It's ok," she shushed and hushed.
"It's ok." She rubbed his back letting him cry. She didn't like not being able to do more. She hated the fact that she couldn't stop his pain or fear. But she would try, she would persist in making it better.
"What's wrong mate?" Deathbringer approached them.
"You afraid of heights?" He chuckled. Glory watched her husband, moving Soulfollower so he could see his father.
"I was too when I was younger, I didn't learn to fly till I was 2 and a half."She knew that Soulfollower wouldn't understand what he was saying, but she also knew that hearing his fathers voice would soothe and calm him. Deathbringer took Soul and rocked him.
"You know what you should be scared of? Mummy. Mummy is very scary." Deathbringer winked at her.
"You've got to learn that quick, or you'll learn that the hard way." He had stopped crying, instead he was babbling a response.
"That's right little guy."

Deathbringer's p.o.v
He had suggested that they don't land directly in the centre of their friends, instead they should land a five minutes walk to the site. He had told Glory that he didn't want them to swarm them at once, but that wasn't why. The truth was he was scared of what they would do to him. He mentally shuddered at the thought of what Tsunami, Clay and Peril could do to him. Even Kinkajou could do damage.
They kept walking, praying to the three moons that know one would overreact and scare Soulfollower again. His body tensed at the thought. If anyone upsets Soul, he'll have their head.
" Babe?" Glory had noticed him tensing.
"I'm okay, just thinking." He stopped and entwined his tail with hers. Giving her a grin, he kept strutting to the meet up. Surely someone other than Sunny will be delighted, surely someone would congratulate them. The five minute walk had changed to a one minute extremely quickly, the anticipation and worry had gotten to his head. Tsunami would have his head, Riptide would be over the hills with joy, Clay would go bigwing mode and go overprotective on Glory. Once again the non dragonet of destiny (Peril) would take their side and congratulate them, the same could be said for Fatespeaker, Winter, Moonwatcher, Kinkajou, Turtle, Qibli and Umber. Okay, maybe not Kinkajou. She'd most likely shove a pineapple or two up his snout.
The path to Jade Mountain was getting narrower, lined with jagged rocks and stray leaves. Great. He thought. Closer to my inevitable death. Deathbringer glanced sideways at his family. There was no reason for them to kill him, he had done something good. He smiled proudly. Anyway at least he and Glory were married. Unlike Starflight and Fatespeaker. He remembered Glory's turmoil when she found out about their dragonet. Huh, he thought. I guess whatever they do is reasonable.
Wings could be heard shuffling frantically in the distance.
"I see them!" An excited whisper was ushered from his right. Glory sat her son on the path. Soulfollower waddled with caution to the edge of the rock path.
"Ready?" Deathbringer nodded at Glory.
"Ready."

Glory's pov
They stepped into the designated cave, watching the looks on their friends faces.
"Awwwww" a chorus chimed throughout the room. Accompanied by the low growls and silent death stares of the dragonets of destiny (well all of them except for Sunny and Glory). Clay stalked towards her husband. Oh moons. Her scales tingled with the fear of what Clay could do to him. She felt herself go white and pulled her dragonet closer.
"Clay?" He didn't look at her. Instead he strolled closer, and closer.
"Clay." Peril's voice ringed through the crowd. Even this didn't stop him. He sat in front of Deathbringer, tucking his tail around him. They made eye contact.
"I know what your gonna sa-" he was cut off with jab across his face.
"Clay!" Glory rushed forward.
"Let me get in on this," Tsunami whacked him her tail, creating a red stripe on his black snout. He wasn't doing anything, he just sat there, taking it.
"He-" She started, but couldn't say it when she saw young Kinkajou slap him too.
"Kinkajou..." Turtle tried.
"No!" She was red as a beet.
"No one, at least not a NightWing, will be king, or father of my queens dragonet!" Deathbringer looked hurt, in despair even.
"That is not fair! Your a RainWing and you're with a SeaWing prince!"She made a comeback.
"But you're queen!" She felt herself change into a damp blue, quiet white and tomato red.
"I guess no one wants Soulfollower then..." the rest of the Jade Winglet, Jambu, Sunny, Peril, Fatespeaker, Starflight, Riptide and Deathbringer looked at her.
Clay found his voice.
"No, Glory. Everyone wants him."
"Is that so?!" She yelled, her scales going full red.
"Then why did you hit his father? Abuse him for our dragonet! I don't want to hear it Clay!" He looked broken, along with Tsunami and Kinkajou.
Jambu had come rushing to her aid, the moment she broke. He covered her with his wings.
"Glory," Tsunami's voice started.
"You're our little sister, we've always been protective of you, under the mountain and now. We couldn't deal with you being hurt or the fact that you-" she cut herself off.
"Bloody moons we're dung snorting scorpions..." Clay apologised.
Umber picked up Soulfollower, cradling him in his arms. Qibli sat beside him. Poor them, they can't have a dragonet. She stopped crying and straightened up.
"You two must want a dragonet," she smiled sadly at them. Umber kept his gaze on Soul, Qibli however said:
"Yeah, we do" he flicked his tail barb away from Soulfollower's reach.
Moonwatcher and Winter took this as an opportunity to see Soulfollower. Moonwatcher came forward first.
"My moons he is gorgeous." Moon grinned.
"Almost as sparkly as Winter!" The Jade winglet laughed.
"Is this an inside joke?" Riptide asked.
"Yeah, in my time as Carnelian's replacement that was used a lot." Peril managed to say between laughs. Winter huffed.
"Almost. I will always be the SPARKLY one." He puffed out his chest and tucked Moon into his side.
"Wanna bet?" Kinkajou turned herself into an array of colours, sparkling like a disco ball.
"It's on." They exchanged a death glare.
Winter flew into the air, tilting his wings so the sun would reflect. He really did look like a disco ball. Moonwatcher facetaloned.
"Nice try, Snowflake." Kinkajou turned silver and gold, then bronze and metallic, followed by rose gold and bright white.
"Could everyone cast their votes?" Turtle used his games show host voice.
"All those for Winter?" No talons.
"All those for Soulfollower?" Glory, Sunny, Deathbringer and Jambu's talons went up.
"All those for Kinkajou?"The remainder of talons rose.
"I think that settles it." Kinkajou stuck out her tongue. Winter grumpily sat on his haunches.
"Can I hold him?" Tsunami asked.
"Yeah, just be careful." Umber passed him to her.
"Moons right, he is gorgeous."
Deathbringer's p.o.v
Riptide walked to Deathbringer and high fived him.
"Good job man!" He whispered. Jambu heard and high fived him too.
"I'm surprised that you're not dead yet." Riptide nodded in agreement.
"I think Tsunami wants one too, any tips, I mean you both have dragonets."
"They're terrible when they're with egg, but excited from there." Jambu added:
"They crave the weirdest stuff, Sunny asked me once for dates with cactus juice. She wouldn't let me near her until I got her some." Riptide nodded.
"Clay, Starflight, come here." Riptide flicked his tail.
"They're giving us tips."
"Sorry 'bout earlier" Clay apologised.
"She's my little sis." Deathbringer shrugged.
"So what about these tips? Peril has been nagging me for one." Jambu told Clay and Starflight what they had told Riptide.
"That's not too bad." Starflight managed a smile.
"Clay," Starflight pat his back.
"Fatespeaker was a living hell." Riptide and Clay needed to join the dad club.
"Starflight do this, Starflight, get me some food. Starflight get me some water." He mocked Fatespeaker. Riptide looked unsure.
"It's worth it though, whining only lasts 10 weeks."
"It's fine from there." Jambu laughed.
"That's where you're wrong Starflight." He frowned.
"My three are two and I never get sleep."
"Always fighting, crying, hungry, never sleepy." Now Clay was worried.
"Once again, it's worth it. Dragonets are a blessing man." With that Deathbringer left them.
Glory was talking with Sunny, Fatespeaker, Peril and Tsunami. They were deep in conversation, probably in something like theirs. He decided to leave them alone, so he wandered over to the infamous Jade Winglet.
"Hey guys." They turned to him.
"Hey DB." Qibli addressed him.
"What's it's like being a dad?" Turtle asked him.
"Great, its like nothing I've ever felt before." Qibli looked to him for more.
"Sure, you don't get much sleep. But it gives you a sense of pride and security." Moonwatcher nodded.
"Makes sense, my mother said something along those lines." Moon shrugged.
"Complete opposite here Moon," Said Turtle.
"Same here Turtle." Winter and Qibli agreed.
"I don't know who my mum is." Kinkajou silently spoke.
"Well I want to hop on the mum train and say that my mum doesn't give a cow." Umber joked.
"Well this had been depressing."Deathbringer cheerfully told them and walked away.
