Firsts, with a side of Faithseeker

I know I said it would be done in June, but sorry, I've had a lot of homework. I'm sorry it's so short too!

Soon Soulfollower had started creating havoc.

"Deathbringer!" Glory screeched for the millionth time that day.

"Can you see him?!" He called back to her.

"No, can you!"

Bang

"Lounge room!" They yelled in unison. Glory dashed into the lounge. Bloody hell Soul, no more crawling.  Deatbringerwasn't being as stealthy as usual, this was poor chaos.

"Soulfollower?" He bellowed. "Where are you?" They were given a giggle in response.

"Deathy, on the count of three. One, two, three!" They pounced, claws carefully clamping onto Soulfollower. He fell into a laughing fit. Glory shared a look with her king.

"Our son can walk, and I don't think I like it." Deathbringer pouted. Soulfollower squirmed determinedly beneath her.

"Neither. We need back up." She sighed tiredly.

"Who to borrow, who to borrow?" He tapped his chin, deep in thought.

"I think the options are: Sunny, Starspeaker, Jambu and Starflight. Maybe Mangrove?"

"You mean, Ditzy one, the delusional one, Ditzy two, smart ass and grumpy but?" He frowned.

"Unfortunately," She pulled her son in for a hug and patted his head.

"Let's take the NightWings of the five." He sighed.

"I'll ask Bromeliad to pinch them later. But for now, how the hell do secure him to somewhere he can't cause trouble." She cooed.

"Well, I suppose that dad will have to stand guard." He grinned. She let him loose, causing Deathbringer to speed after him.

"Good luck!" Glory called as Deathbringer crashed into one of Silver's sleeping houses.

Later

She had just sent Bromeliad to find Starflight and Fatespeaker when Deathbringer burst into her hut.

"Honey! Soulfollower said Dad! Well, Dada, but it was really close!" She dropped her scroll and barged out of the room. Moons! Soul talked! I wasn't there, at least Deathbringer was. The forest sped by her as they flew, pink and black, side by side.

"Are you sure? It wasn't a babble?" She asked.

"Definitely."  He told her as their talons touched down at their hut.

"Wait, did you leave him here all by himself?" Glory cocked her head, red starting to creep into her scales.

"Ummmm, maybe?" She stared at her husband.

"Deathbringer!" Glory stormed into the hut.

"Babe, I'm sorry." He walked in after her. Flicking her tail she called.

"Soulfollower? Honey, mum's home." The little black and forest green dragonet waddled into view.

"Daaada," He hugged her leg.

"No, I'm Mamma." She corrected him, crouching.

"Dada." Soul nestled in further.

"Say mum." He looked at her.

"Mmmm, dad!" (My little sister used to do this.)

"Soul!"

Deathbringer barked a laugh.

"He gets it from you." Glory pointed out warmly.

"Definitely."

Soon   Starflight, Fatespeaker and Faithseeker arrived.

"Glory?" Starflight shouted.

"What do you want?" Starspeaker yelled.

Glory and Deathbringer rushed to open their door.

"We need your help. Soulfollower is walking and talking, and we had to call in the experts." Deathbringer explained.

"Ah, I see." Starflight rubbed his temples.

"Let Faithseeker tire him out." Fatespeakerbrought forward her daughter, she had the same silver scale bracelet as her mother. Glory crouched down to look at Faithseeker.

"Do you want to go play?" The tiny dragonet nodded.

"Well, I happen to know someone around your age you could play with. His name is Soulfollower. If you were to go down the hall, you'll see him." Faithseeker shyly skipped down the hall.

"Thanks Fate." Deathbringer thanked her.

"It's alright, Cattail, Glow and Sunshine are getting too rough with her, better to have someone around her age." She shrugged.

"Starflight, when do they normally stop, I don't know, causing havoc?" He stared at her solemnly.

"You see these bags under my eyes? You see them Glory?!" She nodded.

"It. Never. Stops." Starflight seemed a little too serious.

"Ummm."

Giggles exploded somewhere down the hall.

"How long will this take?" Deathbringer asked the couple.

"Anywhere from an hour to four." Fatespeaker rolled her eyes.

"Then let's grab some dinner, if  we'll all be here forever."

"I'm not complaining." Said a tired Starflight.

"Neither." Fatespeaker claimed.

Soon all they heard was crashing and banging.

"Faithseeker, for moons sake, stop breaking everything!" It was almost scary seeing Fatespeaker yell.

"Woah," Deathbringer whispered to her, unheard by the NightWings.

"Someone hasn't slept in a while." Glory almost burst out laughing.

"Maybe Starflight's been drilling her with the "History of Lousy Kings and Snobby Queens of the SandWings" again." She felt vibrations rock through her body as Deathbringer hid his laugh in her shoulder.

Fatespeaker whipped around.

"What's so funny NightWing?" She stared.

"N-nothing."  He said between chuckles.

"Oh that's nice, because I'm CRABBYAND TIRED AND HAVE BEEN CURSED WITH THE MOST MISBEHAVED DRAGONET IN MOONS BLASTED PYRHIA!" She screamed at her dragonet down the hall.

"Alright then, miss model parent." Glory whispered.

She mustn't of been quiet enough.

"As if your perfect, Queenie!" She snapped.

Deathbringer jumped in front of her.

"Nobody says that to my Queen!" He stuck his nose into the air.!

"Deathy, she's tired, leave her be."

-BANG

"FaithSEEKER!" Fatespeaker roared.

After a week of bringing small cousin over to distract Soulfollower, he began to calm down.

"Honey, we have to get a dragonetsotter." Deathbringer pointed out as she reached across the table to grab a mandarin.

"What?" She frowned, changing her scales to match the orange fruit.

"You have a meeting with Queen Moorhen next week, and we have to leave Soulfollower behind."

He was right, naturally.

"Moons, you're right." She thought a moment, peeling her fruit.

"Maybe we could get Sunny to look after him?" Glory suggested.

"Maybe, I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

~~~~
Unfortunately, that bridge came quicker than they thought, and unfortunately, Sunny and Jambu weren't going to be in the Rainforest.
"Starflights?" She asked Deathbringer.
"They can barely look after Faithseeker. I doubt they could care for Soul as well."
She shrugged. "That's true."
"Not Peril's, much to dangerous." He added to the growing No list.
"How about Tsunami's and Riptides? I mean, he'll live it there." She didn't see anything wrong happening there. So that's where they ended dropping him off.
After a tearing good bye, and a stern word with their friends, they flew to the Mud Kingdom.
