Hey guys , I almost cried while writing this chapter but refrained from doing so . Get ready to feel sad .

Previously on Wings Of Fire

Kestrel looked at her "You know why I'm doing this" . Glory nodded .

Kestrel took a deep breath before putting her hands on Glory's neck . Glory scrunched her eyes shut . The force of Kestrel's hands on her neck was getting unbearably painful . Suddenly the grip on her neck loosened . Glory opened her eyes to see the Skywing's face streaming with tears . Kestrel got down on her knees with her head in her hands .

All the walls that she had around her collapsed as she cried . This shocked Glory , Kestrel NEVER cried . She knelt down beside her . "Just leave me alone" Kestrel said between cries . Glory went out of the cave where she saw the other 2 guardians sitting . Webs' face lit up when his gaze landed on her . "Glory!" He ran and hugged her and she returned the embrace . The 2 separated . "What happened?" Webs asked her , eyes full of concern . "I don't know she just started crying , she said 'Just leave me alone'" Glory replied .

Oh no Dune and Webs exchanged worried glances before Dune raced inside the cave "Glory , you can go back to your sleeping cave" Webs said before racing inside the cave . Glory nodded and went back to her cave .

Dune rushed to her side . She was curled up against the wall , crying her heart out . He sat beside her and hugged her while stroking her hair as she cried onto his shoulder . "This is all my fault" Kestrel cried even more . Webs went inside and sat on her other side , putting his hand on her shoulder .

"Shh" Dune comforted her "You made a mistake and you should learn from it" . "How?" Kestrel sobbed "I made a mistake that haunted me my whole life"

"Start loving these dragonets as your own" Dune said "I'm sure it'll help" . "I-I'll try" she sniffed .
