I awoke to the sound of an explosion and a lot of lights. What the fuck? With the bad burning smell I immediately stood up from my bed. What is happening now? As I opened the door from my side someone much stronger than me tried the same from the other leading me to fall back. Why can't I ever have a few normal minutes with sleep in this realm?

Trying not to be too mad I slowly stood up from the floor and the person from the other side finally showed herself. It was Polaris.

"Omg Rosalinda! I missed you so much! I can't believe you are her!" she said while jumping on top of me. Which ended with both of us falling back to the floor but I was too happy to be mad.

"I missed you too, my polar bear!" I answered laughing.

"Ugh I didn't miss that nickname though" she replied, raising from the floor.

"If you guys are finished hugging we kinda need to evacuate since you bombed the ground right beside our house Polaris!" shouted a voice outside the room leading me to remember that explosion I woke to.

"Okay Xara we are coming! You don't need to be so grumpy about that, it was just a miscalculation" answered my sister.

"What do you mean by miscalculating, Polaris? Are you bombing stuff now? What is happening here?" I said horrified.

"I am going to explain everything to you Rosalinda but now we have to get out of this house before it burns down" she replied with a soothing voice. Realizing I dont have so much choice i raised from the floor and started following my sister.

We went to the sitting room where everyone in the house was waiting for us with some papers in hand. Apart from Raiden, Onyx, and Eleni, there was a new girl I didn't meet but I didn't comment as we started to go out. But my sister understood me from my confused face and whispered: "that is Xara, I guess you met with the rest of them but she and I were outside when you woke up" while holding my hand to lead me. I nodded thank you to her and we finally went out of the house.

Outside was... well a big chaos to say it mild. People were running from the fire that was exactly next to house. As soon as we were away from our house Polaris pulled a rope I didn't realize she was holding and then our house exploded completely causing people to scream and run faster from our house. I took a big breath but immediately regretted it, the air was full of smoke. Polaris pulled me and we started to run too. I felt like we were in a film running but fire like this but my thoughts disappeared when i looked up. There was no sky illusion in down city. You could clearly see that we were underground. The pocket doors was also visible from here. The down city was the exact opposite of the castle, all the houses were looking very poorly, there was no sky illusion, people here were doomed to darkness and it was even worse that they could see pocket doors knowing they will never be able to open them. I wondered if children here ever saw the sky. Suddenly i felt bad for faeries which was very weird after my feeling for them just a couple hour ago.

Polaris pulled me to an alley and we went inside a bar. Then Eleni took a badge with some weird symbols on it and showed it to the barista. The barista nodded let us go through an old door which led to a small and empty room with another door. Eleni took a keyring with very many keys on it and opened the door with one of them. We all went in and i stanced when I saw that we were inside our house again.

"Didn't we just run away from this house which exploded?" i said confused

"Oh no, we are not in the same house that burned completely, this is a safe house we use when things like that happen. Since our dear Onyx completely shuts down when big changes happen in his life we all design our houses the same so we don't have to wait for Onyx to be used to the new house every time" replied Xara laughing.

"Does it happen often that the house you guys live in burns down?" I asked even more confused now.

This time everyone laughed and Polaris pulled me to sit on one of the chairs and everybody followed us. After everyone sat Eleni turned to me and started talking.

"I think it is time to explain some things to you. Since you are going to live with us there is something you need to know. And for you to understand what I am going to tell you need to know more about how pockets work and faerie realms. A long long while ago humans found a way to imprison faeries underground but there were too many fairies and humans knew that if enough faeries united together we would manage to lift the curse and get out again. So they decided to create many pocket door in different places and cut our connection with each other. Lightlee is one of many faerie kingdoms but we have no connection to other kingdoms and there is not enough faeries in Lightlee to lift curse. King Chaol is responsible to try to lift the curse and open our pocket door but he is not doing anything because he is happy with his life in the castle but the rest of the kingdom is dying in the down city. We are a group that is against the kingdom. Our goal is to find a way to unite the other faerie kingdoms and open the pocket door. There are others that help us but we are the only ones willing to show who we are to each other. The rest want to remain anonymous because they are afraid of what the king will do if he finds out who we are. This morning Xara and you sister was on a mission to steal some very dangerous powder from the castle but as you see things didn't go as they were planed and your sister managed to set fire to our house-"
"It was Xara's idea to put it next to the fireplace so please don't blame me Eleni '' Polaris interrupted, looking very mad at Xara. Xara just shrugged and didn't say anything.

"Anyway, it was mistake and I am not blaming anyone but, Rosalinda our life in down city is not a peaceful one and you will constantly be in danger if you choose to live with us so if you want i can talk with my brother and we can find you another house away from danger" cointuned Eleni looking at me.

I turned to my sister and said: "Why are you with them, Polaris?"

"Ouch that hurt" said Onyx jokeful but Polaris and I cointuned looking at each other.

"We owe it to them Rosalinda. Our mom sent me down here to find a way to open the pocket doors. I was not so willing at first but after I heard what humans did to them I couldn't just let it be. I am going to stay with them and fight until the end of my life but if you don't want that, I completely understand you too" replied Polaris. My eyes filled with tears with her mention of our mom but I holded myself.

"If you are in, I am in too Polaris, I am not going to run away like a coward" I said looking at everyone.

"Well if that's settled we need to make a new plan to find more explosive powder" said Eleni, raising up.

"Are you the leader of the group or something?" I asked Eleni. She was always the one who made decisions and spoke up for the group.

"Yes"
"Yes"
"Yes"
"Yes"
"No"

Everyone except Eleni said yes and I gave them a confused look saying: "Yes or No?"
"Well, we don't technically have a leader but Eleni is still the leader" said Xara

"How come I don't know about this Xara?" asked Eleni

"You are the one who has the most connections with the castle, you are the one who makes plans, you are the brain of the group and you have a boyfriend" answered Xara with a knowing look.

"Why are you involving me in this? I have nothing to do with her being the leader" said Onyx innocently

"I know darling but I just wanted to involve you to her success anyway" said Xara by flicking his nose.

"I am not the leader!" shouted Eleni angry and caused everybody to laugh.

"She is the leader but she always gets mad when someone mentions to her '' whispered Raiden to my ear causing me to jump. I had forgotten he was there.

"Are you always so silent," I asked him while everyone was arguing.

"When you live in a faerie realm as a human as long as I did you learn not to attract attention."

"How long have you lived here?" I asked curiously

"Longer than you imagine, Rosalinda" With his answer I realized that everyone was silent and looking at us.

"He is always so secretive, don't worry you will get used to him at some point" said Polaris to break the silence but instead caused more silence.

"Well this is starting to get awkward" said Onyx

"I totally agree" replied Raiden and raised up and said: "I am going to get us some food" and then went out of the house from the door we went in.

I also got up after him and went to my room after saying that I need some silence after everything. After I went to my room Polaris came in and gave me a book about faeries, pockets and its history. She also said that it will help me understand some things better.

I sat to my bed and for the first time after castle I tried to call Dain. Jaiblynn had said that with my mindwall no one could talk to my mind without my permission and I didn't want to hear anyone's voice until so I didn't lift my spell until now I immediately heard him as I lifted the spell.

"Omg Rosalinda, I thought you were dead! I couldn't reach to you for days and after what happened with the king I thought he killed you! Do you know how worried I was for you?!"

"Okay, okay calm down now Dain. I just had the mindwall spell up that's why you couldn't reach me. I am alive and well, don't worry"

"Well i figured that but what happened where were you all this time?"

With his question I suddenly broke down and told him everything since the library while crying.

"Oh I am so sorry, Rosalinda. I would have hugged you if I were there" he replied after I finished explaining everything.

"I know Dain, thank you" I said laughing.

"I want to take a revenge so bad but I also want to join Eleni and her group, Dain. I don't know what I should do?" I added suddenly serious.

"Do both Rosalinda. Join them and help them and when you get the chance you can take your revenge too. They want to change the ruler in Lightlee and you want to kill the ruler of the Lightlee. I think those goals are pretty similar and this way you will have help from others too. And I am always here to help you too" answered Dain.

"Did I mention that you were very smart before Dain?" I said laughing.

"I know, I am a genius but I have one more question?"

"And what is it, ms genius?"

"Don't you also think Raiden is a bit-" his sentence got interrupted with someone suddenly falling through my window and right in front of me. Not just someone, it was Raiden.

"too suspicious" finished Dain his sentence in my mind. Yes, indeed.
