Chapter 3 - pretty boy
[Cas]
He was really handsome that was for sure. Whoever he was, Cas couldn't remember ever seeing him before, but he knew one thing. He was everything in one that Cas despised. The way he looked at Anna, and talked to her, and just the way he dressed in general Cas could tell he was a player. Meaning he was not someone Cas would ever even consider. There was also no way he was into guys, so there was that.
Why he got all nervous and stumbly the moment Anna left, Cas had no idea, but he was sure it had nothing to do with him. There was no way this guy would take any interest in someone like him. He probably just remembered he had to be somewhere or something like that, typical of someone like him to forget what he was doing.
"So, who's pretty boy?" Anna was back, with an interested smirk on her face, and looking after the guy who had just left the coffee shop. Cas was surprised she asked, he would have thought if anyone knew who he was it would be her.
"You think I know? You're the one who didn't ask for his name." Cas scoffed at her and made her roll her eyes slightly. He didn't understand why she was still looking out the door as if he was still in her sight, when he was clearly gone a while ago.
"I just don't think I've seen him before, at least not around here." Anna shrugged, finally looking at Cas. "So, what do you think he's majoring in? He has to be one of the musician guys right?" She added, looking curiously at Cas and hoping to get an answer.
"I have no idea Anna, and how do you know he's one of us? He looks more like one of the jocks though, doesn't he?" Cas mentioned. Not that he thought any of them would ever come to this place, they usually stuck to their side of campus, and had their own hangouts.
"Like one of them would ever come here." It was Anna's time to scoff and then she rolled her eyes again, just to emphasize on how unlikely she thought it was. Cas just shrugged innocently at this.
"How would I know, he could be like Sam though, who knows." Cas raised his eyebrows in an attempt at reasoning why the guy might be here. Sam Winchester was the only one he knew of that didn't major in anything creative that came there, he was trying to be a lawyer, but he was a bit of a book nerd too, and seemed to like it around there.
"I doubt it, then we would have known about it, if he's not one of the musicians, it's for sure just a one time thing." Anna reasoned back and Cas just shrugged, not really caring that much who he was. He might be pretty, but that wasn't going to get him anywhere with Cas, if ever he was to try.
"So, what did Ryan want?" Cas questioned and Anna sighed. Ryan Ted was and art student and also Anna's ex-boyfriend, and it seemed he didn't want to give her up so easily. He kept coming by to try to get her to take him back.
"Do you even need to ask?" She rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed with him. Cas gave a slight laugh, he really didn't understand why she had bothered going out with him in the first place, but clearly something about him had been appealing to her.
"Oh shut up." Anna scoffed. "By the way, didn't your shift end like 10 minutes ago?" She then said, taking a glance at her watch. Cas glanced at it too, and saw she was right. With a sigh he pulled his apron of, and hurried to gather his things up back, to be sure he wasn't late to his first class.
"Good luck Cas! I'll see you later, keep on the lookout for pretty boy, I want his number!" Anna called after him as he hurried out of the coffee shop with his back over his shoulder. His class didn't start in another 10 minutes, but he had to make sure he didn't get there late, again.
"Hey, Castiel!" He stopped, rolling his eyes as the voice of his brother called out behind him. He didn't even need to think twice about who might be calling for him, only one person in this entire college called him by his full name.
"Gabriel." He sighed, spinning around to see his brother only a few feet behind him, catching up to him. What even his older brother wanted with him right now he couldn't fathom.
"Hey little brother, what are you up to?" Gabriel asked, and Cas gave him an exasperated look. Seriously? He came just to ask that?
"I'm trying to get to class, Gabe." Cas said, slightly annoyed at his brother's usually bad timing. Not that Cas usually minded Gabriel, he was the most chill out of Cas' two older brothers, but Gabriel was sometimes really annoying. For example with the fact that he always had to call Cas by his full name, which he tried to avoid anyone finding out about.
Let's just say their parents had been slightly obsessed with angel names, and of course Cas had to be the one given the weirdest out them. It wasn't like Michael or Gabriel were such weird names but Castiel, that was just ridiculous.
"Right, I was just wondering if you'd join me for lunch later?" Gabriel asked and Cas couldn't help but feel a little bad about acting so irritated. It seemed for once Gabriel just tried to be a good big brother, because he knew Cas usually didn't have anyone to eat lunch with.
Not that he didn't have friends, he did have a few, like Anna, and his roommate, but both had classes when Cas had time to eat. Not that Cas wasn't okay with eating alone, but it was nice to feel like he had someone to hang out with. He could have just asked someone in hid class, he had some sort of friends there too, but he didn't feel like pushing himself upon someone.
"I- Yes, thanks Gabe." He couldn't help but give a smile to his older brother, who just winked back. Sometimes Cas did appreaciate going to school with his brother, despite the two being very different. It was nice to have family to rely on.
"See you later then Cassie." Gabe nicknamed him again and made Cas roll his eyes, but more playfully this time. Then he turned hurriedly in the direction he had been going in, realising he was for sure going to be late to class now.

I- well, Gabriel is in da house welcome ya boi.
Anyway, I hope this was okay, so Cas isn't like the most social in this, I feel like it suits him, he's more of like an observer, and is very much completely different from Dean, which is a point, but yeah. Let's see how it goes with these two eh?
