Chapter 10 - party

[Dean]

Dean was once again reminded of the blue eyed coffee shop barista, upon seeing him at the party. Though he didn't exactly look like he was enjoying himself there, Dean noticed immediatley. He was standing with the other barista, Anna, the girl with the long red hair that Dean found quite hot, especially in her party outfit.

Dean found 'blue eyes' hot too. He was wearing a white shirt, with a blue jacket, and a pair of dark coloured jeans and black shoes to it. It wasn't exactly particularly fancy, and yet, somehow, Dean found himself thinking he looked better than Anna. Despite Anna's outfit being several times more revealing.

Why in the hell did Dean find himself more attracted to this guy that pretty much every girl he was in the room with? He didn't even want to think about it, and yet there it was, there the guy was again with his ridiculous blue eyes that Dean would have just loved to see up close.

He seemed to be talking with Anna as Dean ended up standing, leaning against a wall, just watching them, forgetting about the party around him. It didn't take long for Anna to notice, and the moment they met eyes she stood up and begun walking over to him. Dean pulled his eyes from the guy.

"So, you are here too, huh?" Anna asked, stepping up to him with a flirty smirk. Dean smiled back, looking her up and down. She really was good looking, how she was one of the artist hipster people that usually roamed the coffee shop, he wasn't sure. She didn't seem like those he had met before, but then again, everyone was different.

"I am, and so are you. What a surprise." Dean grinned, biting down on his lip. His sarcasm seemed to take Anna aback just a bit, but then she just smirked. He was sure he could have some fun with her, depending on what defenition of the word she had in mind.

"I never did quite catch your name." She then said, looking up at him with that same smirk. Dean knew he shouldn't let her continue, whatever it was she wanted from him, he knew for a fact he couldn't give it to her. Despite being a bit of a player, Dean had no intention whatsoever on cheating on Lisa.

"Dean." He told her, leaving out his last name. She might know it, she might not care. He decided it best not acknowledge that he knew her name, not for any particular reason other than that what had happened in the coffee shop had never quite left his mind. Not because it was that special, just because blue eyes.

"Dean," She repeated, her flirty smirk widening. "I'm Anna, you wanna grab a drink?" She then added and Dean shrugged. He was at this party to party, and that usually started with a drink. With a grin he nodded, and followed her, throwing just a slight glance back at 'blue eyes', still sitting there alone.

To Dean's surprise Anna's friend, it seemed, was looking after them too, and his gaze met with Dean's for a moment. Dean wasn't sure, but he looked almost surprised to find Dean looking back at him, though Dean bet he didn't know it was actually him Dean was looking at.

He quickly turned back around, leaving 'blue eyes' to himself and going to get a drink, or several, with Anna. They walked, finding something to drink and then dancing around with everyone else in the party.

For a long time it was all just fun and games, dancing around, drinking and flirting with whoever was around there. It didn't take too long for Anna to leave Dean behind, as she realised she wasn't going to get him in any way other than for a dance, or a wordly flirt, which wasn't easy in the middle of loud music and loud people.

He didn't know where she went of, but he guessed back to find her friend with the blue eyes who didn't seem to enjoy himself too much, or maybe it was to go off snogging some guy off the football team, or anyone else who bid themselves. He didn't really care.

At some point during the evening Dean went off to find a toilet, and instead came across Charlie and Dorothy making out in a hallway, which could have been awkward, if they had actually noticed him.

He also tried keeping some kind of eye on Jo, just to make sure she didn't go off with the wrong guy, but he lost her pretty quickly, and gave up trying to keep up with her. She was pretty much an adult too, so he knew he had to stop feeling the need to protect her so much.

Dean only saw Sam a few times during the party, and he wasn't sure if Eileen was there with him or not, one thing was for sure, despite being the tallest guy in the room, Sam was incredibly hard to spot. The few times Dean did, he couldn't tell wether he was with anyone in particular or not.

After quite a few hours of partying, and a whole lot of drinking, Dean found himself wandering around, trying to figure out what to do. He wanted to head back to his dorm, not because he was all too drunk, but because a party wasn't the same when really all he could do was watch everything that was going on and drink.

He missed having Lisa around, she made everything more interesting, especially parties, and the times she hadn't been around before it had been because her and Dean had been broken up for a while, and Dean had been free to do whatever he felt like.

So, knowing he couldn't get back to his dorm on his own, Dean stumbled around, and finally upon a door to some kind of balcony, that seemed to be unlocked. In the dark it looked empty, and for once Dean liked the idea of just sitting by himself for a while, maybe sobering up enough to head back on his own.

He pushed the door open, and to his surprise met gazes with someone already occupying the balcony.
