Despite finding out how to get to the Inbetweenlands, Lukas still had a little bit of a job on his hands considering that he now had to gather the stuff needed to get there. Between him and Marion, it was gonna take a bit of time considering the easiest way to get there was with a talisman and those aren't exactly easy to find. The two ended up splitting off to see if either of them could find a sign of one of the talismans. 

Meanwhile, Brandon was frowning as he sat and stirred his toffee on top of the whale. He was worried about Lukas. Well actually, he was more worried about who this so-called friend could be that Lukas wanted to delay introducing them. 

Like if he thought about it, it more than likely wasn't the devil or any of his minions considering Lukas knew better than to go and try to get help from them. That would just result in them trying to get his soul. Similarly with Jackson, he had made sure Lukas knew how dangerous it was to interact with vampires. Lukas wouldn't be working with them for pure safety reasons. And if he was, then he wouldn't have just tried to delay when Brandon would meet them. It didn't make sens-

He stopped his thoughts midsentence as an idea came to mind. It was so simple he didn't know why he hadn't thought of it before. This so-called "friend" of Lukas' could be his brother's boyfriend or something. 

Sure, Lukas hadn't mentioned having a boyfriend. However, at the same time, his brother might be scared to tell/introduce them. Which would explain why his brother was trying to delay when he would meet him. 

Brandon could understand why Lukas would be scared to introduce them. He could be overprotective on a good day. Lukas probably thought he would go mental if he had found out about him having a boyfriend. And to be honest, he probably would grab a shotgun and point it at whoever thought they could get away with dating his brother without his permission. It was his duty as a big brother after all.

Shaking his head, he decided to just wait until the week was up to see who exactly this friend of his brother's was. And if this friend just happened to be his brother's boyfriend, well then, he would have to see about getting a shotgun, wouldn't he?
