Lukas couldn't help but think about what Brandon had told him as he made him toffee. He was surprised that his brother had opened up to him like that, especially about something like that.

When he had begun to interrogate his brother about his sighing, Lukas had expected to get brushed off. He hadn't expected the story about this druid who seemed to have captured Brandon's heart in the past. It just didn't match up with the picture that his sarcastic brother put up around himself. And yet, there was something heartwrenching about the way that Brandon talked about this Ritchie fellow and how he would never see him again. 

Honestly, he felt bad for Brandon. He had never seen his brother talk this way about anyone and yet his tone made it sound as if he were heads over heels for this Ritchie guy, even if he was sure that he would never see the other again. It almost made him angry how this guy had left Brandeen to go back to his own world and left his brother pining for him. The only reason he said almost was because he could understand just wanting to go back to where you came from. He just wished that the druid hadn't left his brother alone like that. 

His brother was one of the toughest people he knew, but seeing him acting so sad as he thought about this druid guy broke his heart. He wished there was something he could do for him...

As he finished making the toffee, Lukas suddenly got an idea, though he would have to get some help to actually do it. Especially since he knew next to nothing about the Betweenlands. Luckily, he knew just the person to help him out. He flew down to give his brother his toffee, before telling his brother that he would be going for a flight. 

Brandon had just nodded at that and waved him off as he sipped his toffee moodily, so Lukas flew up to the top of the whale, grabbed his bag, before flying off towards where his boyfriend lived (yes he has a boyfriend but shhh, Brandon doesn't know). He just hoped that his boyfriend would be able to help him in his new mission.
