14- A Trip Down Memory Lane

He was forced into a memory from when he was eight years old. About three years ago, actually. One day, it rained so hard in Ireland that his shack had been torn apart, and he was flooded out and far from his home. There had been a young boy, playing in the rain and hopping about in big puddles that were like lakes to the young fairy. The water had led Isacresenta there, and he drifted to the boy's feet. Before the wee lad had jumped on him, he noticed the fairy laying on his back.

The boy had picked Isaac up and examined him, putting a finger to the fairy's chest. Isaac coughed and meekly pushed the boy's finger away. The boy gasped, then beamed and ran into his house. He had dried the fairy off with a small, fluffy towel in his room, locking his door so no one would see what he had found. Isaac was grumpy the entire time the boy dried him off, but he was too weak to do anything about it. After Isaac was dry, the little kid wrapped him up in a soft baby-blanket he had kept on his bed, cradling the fairy gently.

Isaac squirmed at first, but the warmth enveloped him, making him even more sleepy. The boy smiled and sat on his bed, telling Isaac it would be okay, and that the boy would take care of him. Soon after, the fairy had fallen asleep. The two of them became friends later on, and that was the very first time Isacresenta had shown his good side. His clothes made out of petals and leaves were destroyed due to the flood, so Ethan--the boy--had 'borrowed' his sister's doll house clothes and given them to Isaac. The shirt was white, and the leggings were black.

Everything had been going fantastic with Ethan, until one day, things went south quickly.

"ACK! Ethan, what is that?!" Screeched the boy's mother. She had spied the fairy poke his head out of Ethan's pocket, wanting to take a look around.

Ethan pulled the fairy out of his pocket and showed him off proudly. "This is Isacresenta the fairy. He's my best friend!"

"How'ya?" Isaac smiled at the giant woman.

However, Ethan's mammy was still terrified. She swung her broom at Isaac, and the fairy leapt out of Ethan's hand and onto the floor. The woman attacked Isaac until he managed to slip under the door and outside. Meanwhile, Ethan was begging his mother to stop.

No more sweet cakes and tasty creams after he had left Ethan.

Isaac shook his head, sighing. "I'm... I'm sorry, what was the question again?"

"Where did you get those clothes?" Hailey repeated sweetly.

"Ah, right." He laughed to himself. "Um... Ireland. About three or four years ago."

"Oh." She nodded to herself. "Nice." Then she checked her phone. "Well, looks like it's your dinner time. Want anything in particular?"

"... Maybe some milk and cake?"

"Got it." She went downstairs, leaving Isaac to wait.

The next chapter's longer, I promise. These two were technically just filler chapters. The next one gets intense.
