"hello welcome to books and books," a tired voice said.

oikawa looked at the source of the noise, a short oranged hair male sipping a coffee with a logo that said 'lyra's place'.

"good morning," oikawa said with a smile, that kid was definitely not a morning person.

oikawa started to look through the aisles of books, the shop had a sudden boost in popularity ever since kageyama tobio finally had a meetup and book signing.

'books and books' had every novel you could ever imagine, they even also had a cute sitting area where you could do work, drink your coffee, or read.

oikawa picked up a novel and sat down. some other busy-looking people came in but they gave no interest to oikawa.

after a couple of minutes, oikawa went and to get an iced coffee from the cafe section of the building. by this time, tooru had forgotten the reason he came here and was matched up with his cute neighbor at the register.

"good morning and welcome to lyra's place what's your order gonna be?" the deep un-familiar voice said. the tone of his voice just felt so,, right to oikawa.

"o-oh um, i'll have a, um, iced coffee. " oikawa barely managed to get out.

"got it, that'll be five dollars and forty-eight cents."

oikawa paid his money with a trembling and red hand. while the drink was being made, he went to the small orange haired worker and bought his book. he heard the husky voice call his name and froze. with a red face, grabbed his coffee and the plastic bag that contained the book, and headed on home.

iwaizumi worked two jobs, kept the pay from the cafe job and gave the pay from his job at the gym to his mom. he worked a late night shift that started at six p.m. and ended at two a.m. at a twenty four hour fitness gym and the early morning shift from six a.m. to ten a.m. at the coffee shop, then had the rest of the day to do whatever he wanted.

the first time he noticed he had a new neighbor was when the boy with the glasses took a sip from his latte, soon after that, the two boys made eye contact. hajime thought it was adorable when the brunette tried to hide. again, he saw him sitting on a bench on the other side of the street, then finally at the coffee shop.

why was the brunette always so flustered around him?

after his shift had ended, he had about four cups of coffee and was feeling the grind, so he went to ihop.

the bells above the door jingled as he walked through. he chose a spot next to a window and brought out his phone to listen to music. he stared out the window but was brought back to life when he felt a tap on the shoulder. iwaizumi flinched and took off his earphones.

it was his neighbor.

in a ihop's uniform.

"sorry if i scared you, but what would you like to eat?"
