Chapter 3: Him Again (Part 2)

Just gonna slide this in real smooth like butter. Sorry, I've just been waiting to use that one, and now we don't need permission to dance so...

"Min Yoongi?"

Taehyung's POV:

"How long has it been?" I can't believe it. It's really him.

"Since high school, I think." He stood up from the piano to face me properly.

"Right, how have you been? I was so worried when you disappeared. I thought I'd never see you again." I gave him a look of concern.

"Well, here I am. I've been good. This shop is where I spend most of my time." He slid his hand in his pockets and glanced around at the store smiling.

"That's right. You did love music. I'm sure you love it here then."

    "Yeah. I do." He shrugged.

"You wouldn't happen to know the owner would you?" I asked suddenly remembering my purpose for being there.

    "Speaking." He raised his hand.

"You own this place?" My eyes widened.

"Yeah. After I dropped out, I got my GED and went to business school. My mom bought this venue for me as a graduation gift and told me I could do whatever I wanted with it. I kind of wanted to earn it so once the business got up and running, I started paying her back in segments." He explained.

"That's so cool." I complimented. He looked down with a small smile and flushed cheeks. He's still as cute as ever. I really did miss him. I wish there was a way to spend more time with him now that I've found him again.

"How about you? What have you been up to?"

"I modeled for a little while and now I'm branching out more into photography. That's kind of what I wanted to speak to you about." Here's my chance. "A friend of mine wants me to shoot his album cover. Maybe you could help."

"That sounds great, but I'm not a photographer." He furrowed his brow in confusion.

"I know, but you do own a record store. I'm sure that you've seen hundreds maybe even thousands of album covers. I need your insights." I tried to convince him.

"I don't know. I'm always busy here at the shop. I couldn't just leave it here unattended." Damn it I'm losing him. Think Tae. Think... Ah! I got it!

"I actually kind of wanted to have the shoot here if that's okay. The place is just so aesthetically pleasing. I think it'll be perfect for the concept that we are going for. Just think. This could be great exposure for you and your shop. Of course, we'll compensate you as well. "

"Well when you put it like that, how could I say no?" Yes! He said yes!

"Great. Thanks so much. I look forward to spending more time with you. I missed you a lot." I couldn't help but smile.

"A-are you still friends with Jeon Jungkook?" He deadpanned. Damn it. Why'd he have to bring him up?

"Yeah. Sort of. He's marrying my sister." That sounds so lame, but I feel like I have to lie. Especially since Jungkook hasn't changed since then.

"Oh. Well, could you not tell him that you saw me." I could see the fear in his eyes. I had no clue he was this scared of him. I know he was bullied, but I didn't know it was bad enough for him to still be affected by it still to this day. Now I feel like shit.

"Don't worry. I won't. I know he used to bully you. I won't tell." I tried to hold back a look of pity.

"Is that all you know?" He inquired.

"Yeah. Why did something else happen?" I panicked. I thought that was all. If not that would explain why he's still scared.

"No. No. That was the only thing." He didn't sound very reassuring.

"Look, back then I was so stupid and childish. I cared about other people's opinions and I was too weak to stand up for myself or for you. Not that that's any excuse. What I'm trying to say is... I'm sorry."

"Taehyung, that was years ago. It's water under the bridge now. Besides, it's not like you did anything."

"That's my point, I never did anything to stop it. Maybe if I would've done something about it, you wouldn't have left."

"It's not your fault Tae. I left because..."

    "Because what?"

    "Because—"

"Excuse me, sir. Your flowers are ready." The guy from downstairs interrupted. Great timing. I mentally rolled my eyes. Then I noticed Yoongi staring at the bouquet in his hands. I could tell he was curious about it, but he didn't say anything.

"Oh thank you. How much do I owe you?" I walked over to him and grabbed the flowers.

"That'll be $60. Come pay at the register." I looked back at the small black-haired boy. He looked so lost.

"Hold that thought Yoongi. I'll be right back."

"Actually, I need to go to the bank."

"You're leaving? Can't you wait a bit longer?" I whined with disappointment. He can't leave. I've been dying to know why he disappeared so suddenly. It's been eating away at me for years.

"I have to do it on my break. They'll be closed by the time I get off today."

"At least give me your number so that we can stay in touch."

"Sure." He grabbed a paper and pen from his register and wrote it down. Then he handed the paper to me. "Here you go."

"Thanks. I'll call you later okay?"

"Okay." With that, I took one more look before heading down, but my legs did not want to move. It felt like if he left my sight now I'd never see him again. I guess it showed on my face since he said... "I'm okay Taehyung. You can go." His small smile was enough to calm me down and get me out of the door. However, I'm determined not to let go of him this time.

——

"Jeon Jungkook, say hello to your new co-star, Lim Jaebum."

Jungkook's POV:

"Co-star? What do you mean co-star?"

"Well after a lot of discussing and debating with the writer, we decided to go in a different direction. Yes, there will still be action and excitement in the movie, but we also wanted there to be a bit more depth to the romance side of the plot." Jinyoung explained.

"That's what I'm here for. I decided that a love triangle would spice it up. Who better than the two most handsome actors in the industry to challenge each other in a battle of love and war?" Lalisa added cheerfully.

"You can't be serious. Is she serious?" I looked over to Hyung with a frown and he only shrugged. This cannot be happening right now.

"Well, I think it's a great idea. I look forward to working with all of you. Thanks for considering me." Jaebum smiled. That idiot is such an ass kisser. It makes me sick.

"No problem. Although, you should really thank your agent. He's the one who vouched for you and showed us how great you would be for the part." Jinyoung chimed in. So Hyung could have stopped this? He knew how badly I wanted the male lead and now I have to share it since he didn't have the balls to say no.

"Really? Thanks, Hyung."

"Don't sweat it JB. It's my job. If I didn't do it, you'd have to fire me."

"Oh, your gonna get fired alright." I scoffed under my breath. No one seemed to notice though.

"That's it for now guys. We just stopped by to drop off the contracts. We still have to go to another agency to give the female lead hers. Hopefully, we'll start shooting next week." Jinyoung spoke as he and Lalisa stood up to leave.

"Okay, thanks for stopping by." Hyung stood and showed them out. I bowed my head and held a smile for as long as I could, but as soon as they left, I turned to Namjoon Hyung furiously. He rolled his eyes and spoke to Jaebum. "JB, why don't you go ahead and go into my office and we can look over the final contract. I will be there in a sec."

    "Okay." He nodded and left.

"Seriously Hyung. How could you? You know that I wanted the lead."

"You are the lead Kook. The girl still ends up with you."

"You know that's not what I mean. I have to share my spotlight with that asshole of all people. You know how I feel about that guy and yet you 'vouched' for him. Why not vouch for me and tell them that I was more than enough?"

"Jungkook stop being so dramatic. I can't dictate what they do in their movie. I am only there to suggest who they do it with. Besides we've been through this before. You are not my only client anymore. I have a business to run."

"I may not be your only client, but I'm definitely the one that makes you the most money. My needs should come first."

"Come on Jungkook. You're being ridiculous right now. I'm starting to get tired of this little diva act."

"Okay, fine. Since you're so tired, maybe I should just go find another agent who appreciates me." I threatened. This douche has some nerve. He's nothing without me. I'm the one who put him on the map and got him all of his other clients. He should be groveling at my feet.

"Good luck finding one that will deal with that attitude of yours. Honestly Kook, instead of bitching, why don't you just take this as an opportunity to outshine him? You're always saying that you're the best. Now is the time to prove it. Unless you're scared."

"Oh please. Don't insult me. I can act circles around that dick any day anytime anywhere. I'm more worried about ruining the man's career before it even starts." Scared? Me? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

"Then it's settled. You're gonna show him that you're the best and you can't be topped." I like the sound of that.

"You bet. He's gonna wish he never stepped foot in this agency, to begin with."

"Great, then sign here, here, and here." He nonchalantly handed me a pen and I fiercely scribbled my signature in the designated areas.

"Just you wait. You'll see." I shoved the contract back at him.

"Alright. Here's the new script. Read it. Learn it. Love it. I'll see you next week." He handed it to me and walked out. I sat back down at the table looking over my lines and I realized that the story is not about me or JB anymore. It focuses more on the female lead now. She's the main character. I've been bumped down to a supporting character. That bitch tricked me. This is not what I signed up for. I stormed out of the room only to see Seulgi standing there like a stray cat.

"Where's Hyung? I need to speak to him now." I demanded.

    "He left with Lim Jaebum."

"That slick bastard. Where did he go?"

    "I'm not sure."

    "You're honestly no fucking help."

    "I'm sorry I—"

"Save it. Just tell them to pull my car around. I'm going home."

"Yes sir." She ran off. By the time I made it down, my car was ready to go. At least I can trust her to do one thing right. I drove home in a frenzy. I'm sure I broke a couple of laws, but I don't care. I'm pissed. This was the perfect movie for me and now it's all gone to shit. This is so annoying.

Once I got home, I threw my things down and headed upstairs. I had hoped to see Chungha but there was still no sign of her. This is the reason why I get my relief elsewhere. She's never here for me. I could go to Seulgi but that bitch kind of disgusts me right now. Damn it. It's not like I could just go with anyone right now. I'm a fucking celebrity. I went to check my phone only to realize it was still in the car. I walked back outside and heard water running. I looked to my right and saw my neighbor once again in a slutty outfit watering his plants. Seriously, does he own pants?

That crop top is no help either. It's so frustrating. Now that I got a glimpse of what's underneath it makes me crave it more. What? No. I can't. Although it'll just be for fun. It won't mean anything. Besides, he keeps tempting me. He must want it. Why else would he wear that? If he wants to dress like a girl I'll treat him like one. That'll teach him. I took a step in his direction but the moment I did, that stupid black jaguar pulled up.

"Baby! I've got great news!" The man hopped out of the car and ran to the blonde kissing him instantly. Finally, I saw his face, and damn it, I almost choked on air. What the fuck? Lim Jaebum is that sissies boyfriend? No fucking way.

"Babe calm down. What if someone sees?" The blonde pulled away all flustered.

"I don't care. I'm so happy right now." He smiled.

"What is it?" The blonde asked as he grabbed his boyfriend's hands and intertwined them with his own. It was so lovey-dovey I could puke.

"I got the part. I'm doing the movie." He hugged him excitedly. How can that idiot be so excited over a supporting part? Hell, if he hadn't come along, I'd still be the lead and the girl would be the supporting part. I was starting to get upset all over again.

"That's awesome. I'm so happy for you baby." The smaller hugged him back and we suddenly made eye contact. I smirked at him and he frowned. "Here, come inside. It's hot." He said pulling out of the hug and dragging him inside. What a little tease. I'll teach him and that cockblocking boyfriend of his a lesson. Mark my words Jaebum. I will take back my movie and I'll even take that little slut you call a boyfriend too. I'll make sure to make an example out of you so that everyone will know not to fuck with Jeon Jungkook.

Jimin's POV:

Ever since I met my neighbor yesterday, I feel like I'm being watched. It's so creepy.  That guy was seriously insane. I should've called the police, but I didn't want to worry Jae. He's already got so much going on and he didn't even want me to live here. I've been cooped up in this house all morning. I need to water my plants, but I also don't want a repeat of yesterday. That was really scary. This is so unlike me. Come on Jimin. He's not the first bully you've ever encountered, and surely he won't be the last. This is my first house and I refuse to let him chase me away. I'll so him that I'm not some tiny defenseless thing he can push around, starting with putting on some comfy clothes and watering my plants.

I got up, took off my robe, and put some clothes on. Then I grabbed my shoes and went outside. I looked over at my neighbor's house and sighed in relief since his car wasn't there. I walked around the corner to grab the water hose when I heard the screeching noise of a car. It's my neighbor. He's back. Luckily he walked inside without noticing me. He looked angry though. Serves him right. I hope that bastard is having a terrible day. I turned around and began watering my plants. They really are beautiful. My grandmother definitely had great taste. I wish I had met her before she passed away.

There's that feeling again. The feeling of being watched. Should I turn around? If I do that and he's there then I'll have to confront him. I don't want to do that. I'm not in the mood. I'll just ignore the feeling for now and hope it goes away. A few minutes have past and the feeling is still there. It's starting to get on my nerves. That's it. I'm over this. Just as I was about to turn around, I see Jae's car pull up.

"Baby! I've got great news!" He ran up and kissed me. I panicked and pulled away. Why would he do that? He knows that if we get caught, it could ruin his career.

"Babe calm down. What if someone sees?"

"I don't care. I'm so happy right now." He smiled.

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"I got the part. I'm doing the movie." He hugged me excitedly. No, wonder he's acting this way. This is what we've been waiting for, ever since we were kids.

"That's awesome. I'm so happy for you baby." I hugged him back, but as I did I saw my neighbor standing on the edge of my lawn smirking at me. How long has that creep been there? That's it. This is starting to get out of hand. I've got to tell Jae about this. Not right now though. I refuse to ruin this moment for him. "Here, come inside. It's hot." I pulled him inside and shut the door.

"We have to celebrate." He ran over and hopped on the couch. "Where should we go? What should we do?"

"I don't know babe. I start work tomorrow." I hate to put a damper on his big day, but I'm not in the mood to go party right now. "How about this? Let's go to dinner tonight. We'll eat anything you want, and after you can drop me off at home and go party with your other friends."

"Are you sure Minnie? Will you be okay by yourself tonight?" He said my nickname in his baby voice.

"I'll manage, Bummie." I replied giggling.

"In that case, there is this new high-end restaurant that I've been wanting to try, I'll get a reservation for us." He grabbed my computer and began typing away. However my mind was elsewhere.

"Sounds great." I deadpanned looking outside of my window. The guy was gone now but I know he'll be back. He fucking lives here damn it. On the other hand, if I tell Jae, he'll definitely make me move out. What's more important? My house? The psycho?... My house? You know what. I'll just put up a fence. I have mace and a taser. I should be fine. Besides, he's just being an asshole. It's not like he's gonna kill me or anything... right?
