Hong Kong's best kept secret

A) The stray dogs walking under the great seal of Hong Kong.

B) Hanging around BRITISH LADIES playing tennis at the Ladies Recreation Club. A sign posted on the wall says: "Amahs, chauffeurs, au pairs, nannies, and other domestic servants are not allowed on the premises at any time".

C) Disrupting YOUNG ENGLISHMEN playing cricket.

D) Watching an old CHINESE MAN sitting on a block of wood, hammering away at a galvanized tin to make roasting pans as a flood of CHINESE REFUGEES walk around them.

E) Witnessing Chinese-British divide in the street as Europeans strike CHINESE PEDESTRIANS with their canes and umbrellas.

EXT. THE LEE PHOTO STUDIO - DAY

We see B.T. and Old Chow sitting outside the small photo studio on Cat Street.

B.T.:     This is so boring. Are we going to wait forever?

OLD CHOW:     Patience, child. Each event awaits its appointed time. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

INT. LEE PHOTO STUDIO - DAY

MR. TOMMY LEE, a wiry 50-year old Chinese photographer wearing a cheap Hong Kong suit, takes a portrait-style photograph of a CHINESE COUPLE.

Behind him, the studio janitor, Wallstreet, is tidying up the place. Mr. Lee speaks to his customers in Chinese.

MR. LEE:     [That's it. You can pick it up on Wednesday.]

CHINESE MAN:      [Five days from now? That's a long time.]
