Jungkook and Taehyung had just come from their doctor's appointment.The omega was in his seventh month and they had just gotten to know the gender of their baby.They had stopped by the baby store to get some more clothes before the due date arrives.Irene had announced the the baby would be huge.No wonder Jungkook looked like someone who was already due when he had two months to go.

The last five months had been hell for Jungkook.Taehyung kept threatening him about firing Hoseok on numerous occasions and suspended him for a month.Taehyung had thought that the omega would budge but he didn't.Since Hoseok was an oncologist specialist he was in demand and Taehyung had no choice but to bring him back to work.What was surprising was that Taehyung hadn't told any of the elders what had happened .

Taehyung's indifference had made Jungkook feel like he was just a vessel to carry his child.

Jennie still hadn't come around because she was convinced that Jungkook has an affair with Hoseok.However she was working on the baby shower either way.She had also helped Jungkook and Taehyung set up the nursery and get the necessary furniture.

As far as Taehyung and Jungkook's relationship is concerned things hadn't been smooth.The alpha had grown quite and more distant.He only paid attention to Jungkook when it concerns the baby.As bad as it seems Jungkook wasn't hurt by all this.What hurt him the most was Taehyung spending more time on his phone.They spend their first Christmas together despite being at odds.Orchids were still being delivered for Jungkook every morning and it made him hate his husband even more.He wanted him to stop confusing him.

Taehyung seemed to be in a good mood lately.He kept giving Jungkook unecessary attention.On their way home he bought him ice cream and chocolate bar despite Irene advising him against it.

As they were having dinner Jungkook's hand started shaking.He immediately hid under the table assuming Taehyung hadn't seen it but he was wrong.

"Why is your hand shaking?"

"I wish I knew , Taehyung"he said

The alpha's gaze became pierced as he scrutinized the omega closely"I really don't get it.You are getting more pale by the day and even weaker. I heard that when you get pregnant you put on weight but it's the excat opposite with you.You have become thinner than you were when I married you"

"You heard what the doctor said.The baby is probably an alpha and he is over weight"

Taehyung still wasn't convinced"Is that really the reason"

Jungkook shrugged"I don't know what you are getting at"

"Eat more of your dinner I will be back"

Jungkook nodded slightly and as soon as Taehyung was out of sight he dropped the bold farcade.He was getting scared because his situation was getting worse and Taehyung wasn't blind.Being a doctor he was probably going to catch on soon or later.

The next time Taehyung appeared in the dinning room he was holding a BP check machine.He had often used it on Jungkook because he didn't want to take an chances.He pulled his chair close to the omega and started checking.

"Your BP is high.What in the world are you thinking about?"

"I'm not thinking about anything"

"If I didn't know any better I would think you are missing Hoseok considering you haven't seen each other in five months"

"What excatly are you trying to get out of me Taehyung"

"Nothing, you have made it clear that you won't tell me anything so I better save my breath"

"I never said I wasn't going to tell you. I only asked for time Taehyung.Stop being difficult"

"No need to get so worked up.The baby doesn't like it"

"I'm really tired Tae. I want to go to bed"Jungkook said as if he was in pain

Without any word Taehyung carried him into their room and put him to bed.He massaged his swollen feet as well as his back sides.It was the first time he had done it and Jungkook was floored.

A few minutes later he went to get his meds and a glass of milk for the pregnant omega.

"How do you feel?"

"A lot better. I don't know about you. I can still walk on my own two feet"

"You are already doing so much .Just let me do these small things for you"

Jungkook smiled as he palmed his belly lightly.

"Can I borrow your lap?"

"Sure"Jungkook smiled.

Taehyung laid his head on the omega's lap and looked up at the ceiling.Jungkook responded by threading his fingers through his husband's soft silky black locks.

"I feel at peace at this moment , love"

"And I hope it stays that way. I don't want to let you down Tae"

Taehyung got up abruptly and looked into the omega's teary eyes"What's wrong with you.Why are you saying such things"

"The future isn't certain. I might just die during birth"

"Jungkook , Irene and Jin Hyung promised you that everything is fine and that you are in safe hands. I want you to believe in them.Ok"

Jungkook nodded.

"And yourself too"

"I'm here with you. You know that I love you don't you?"

"You don't love me.Not at all"

"Why would you say that"

"Because over the last five months you haven't acted like it.You haven't even told me you love me in those months"

"You know the reason all too well.And another thing, people have different ways of loving"

"Can't we just get rid of this hostility and tension between us?"Jungkook asked.

"Not until you tell me what I need to know"

"Can't you just forget that nothing happened.Please for the sake of the baby"

"I wish it was that simple"

"What on earth do I have to do to prove to you that there is nothing between Hoseok and I? The baby is still inside my tummy so what more reassurance do you need"

"I just want you to be honest with me"

"Very well then.You can continue being mean to me all you want but you will regret it.One day I will be gone from your life.Forever"

"Wow now you are manipulating me?"

"I'm not.Everyone dies and that's the bitter fact"

"I know that"

"Suppose I die before you , will you remarry?"

"Would you expect me to mourn and mop around for you all my life"

"And yet you claim to love me?"Jungkook scolwed at his husband.

"If I die first would you mourn me all your life.Wont you consider moving on"

"I'm confident that I would remain single all my life but you wouldn't understand that."

"Why would you do that to you're.Life goes on"

"So in that case if you get remarried I want you to get someone who will love our son"Jungkook said.

"What's with this cumbersome topic Jungkook."Taehyung was getting agitated

"Should I drop it?"

"By all means"

"I'm sure this child will make you happy more than I ever could"

"You do make me happy.Dont just say such things easily"

"How could I have possibly known when you have never said it to me?"

"Why does this feel as if I'm talking to someone on his deathbed.Should I call your lawyer so you can sort out your last will and testimony"

Jungkook hit Taehyung on the chest with a fist"Meanie"

"You love this meanie"Taehyung smiled

"Was there ever a doubt in your mind"Jungkook returned the smile

"Are you ready for tomorrow"

"Yeah, I heard a baby shower is the first step into motherhood"Jungkook said

Taehyung embraced Jungkook and kissed his forehead"I love you."this time he said it like he meant it.

"I love you too , tiger"he smiled.

"I almost forgot. I have invited Hoseok you our baby shower"

"Geez thanks.Just what I needed"Jungkook rolled his eyes and scolwed.

In the end they picked up their pillows and came at each other.They made out before going to bed.
