Baby Bliss- Dean

You were Dean's long-time girlfriend but when he accidently got you pregnant, Dean wanted to make things right so he proposed to you. Wanting to protect the life of his unborn child, he retired from hunting and he made sure you retired too. Sam would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous but he was happy for the two of you nonetheless.

...

You woke to kisses being pressed against your shoulder and neck.

"Mm, five more minutes," you groaned, your lips curling into a smile.

"No can do babe. Today's the day we find out if there a Dean or Deanna in here," he said, putting his hand on your belly.

"Dean, we are not naming the kid after you," you stated firmly.

"Aw, why not?" he pouted. You turned to face him and kissed his lips.

"Because there's already enough trouble with one Dean Winchester in the world. Now c'mon, let's get up so we can find out what to name this baby."

...

You argued about names the whole way to your appointment. Dean helped you get out of the Impala and impatiently waited for your name to be called. You had to hold your fiancé's hand to stop him pacing the waiting room. Finally, it was your turn and the doctor put the gel on your tummy. Dean stared at the monitor in child-like wonder as the heartbeat came in loud and clear.

"Do you want to know the sex of the baby?" the doctor asked, moving the scanner over the gel.

"Yes, we do thanks," you replied, interlocking your fingers with Dean's.

"And as you can see right here... you have a little girl," he smiled kindly. Dean squeezed your hand and grinned widely. There it was; he had a daughter. You made another appointment, left the clinic and headed towards the car.

"What about Samantha Mary?" you said after a few minutes of driving.

"Samantha Mary Winchester... Yeah, I like the sound of that," he grinned.

...

The months flew by and before you knew it, you were eight and a half months pregnant. Dean had gotten a job as an apprentice mechanic to keep up with the bills. It wasn't as exciting as being a hunter but it put food on the table and the work wasn't as dangerous. Dean came home after a long day at work.

"Y/N? I'm home!" he called.

"I'm in the bedroom!" you called. He walked into the room to find you sitting on the bed with a half eaten bowl of ice-cream.

"Hey, babe. Check it out, I learnt a new trick!" you said, balancing the bowl on your swollen stomach. Dean smiled and took the bowl from you, placing a kiss on your lips. He sat next to you on the bed, finishing off the ice-cream and talking about his day. When he was done, he went to put the bowl in the sink. You suddenly felt a pain in your leg.

"Ow, ow! Leg cramp, leg cramp!" Dean rushed into the room and quickly knelt on the bed, gently massaged your spasming muscles. You sighed as you felt your leg start to relax. Dean's gaze flicked up to you, a smirk tugging at his lips and a mischievous glint in his green eyes.

"Don't give me that look, Winchester. Last time that happened, this happened," you warned, pointing at your bump. Dean just smirked and shrugged. He crawled over you and pressed his lips to tummy.

"Hey kiddo, this is your daddy. I can't wait to meet you. You've got a couple of awesome parents and an uncle that's gonna spoil you rotten." He frowned as he copped a tiny foot to the nose.

"She takes after you," he grumbled, making you giggle. Dean leant forward to kiss your forehead, his hand still on his kicking child.

...

A few weeks later, you had just sat down to dinner when you felt your water break. Dean wasted no time in getting you to the hospital. It took many hours of labour but your little girl was finally out. Dean was fairly supportive throughout the whole thing but he almost fainted a few times (which you undoubtedly would pay him out for in the future). You were exhausted and covered in sweat but to your fiancé, you had never looked more beautiful. Dean held the baby; only giving her up you could feed her. Eventually Sam came by to visit and felt honoured that you had named your child after him. As Dean looked at your tired face, he couldn't help noticed how right this felt. He finally understood how his brother felt all that time ago.
