Testing and Planning

It was early Sunday morning, teams RYBN(Ribbon) and JWPR(Jupiter), sans Pyrrha, were all in a training room they had booked.

Pyrrha made an excuse, leaving the group before Ruby even saw her. Jaune has said he was heading to church since it Sunday.

And so the six children all stood in the arena the room offered. Ruby had opted to wear light more mobile clothing. Nothing fancy, just a sports bra under a shirt, some shorts, and a pair of sneakers. She also had elbow and knee pads, wanting to be prepared since she couldn't control when she could bounce.

"So," Ruby began stretching, earning that oh so satisfying pop in her joints. "Which one of you has the most Aura other than Jaune and Pyrrha?"

Yang grinned puffing out her chest.

"Oh please! I'm obviously stronger than you." Nora boasted, puffing out her smaller chest.

Flat V. Oppai

"Oh please, Yang. One touch of your hair and you're already wanting to murder someone." Weiss stayed, making the blonde deflate.

"You know how protective I am of my beautiful mane!" Yang defends holding her hair like an infant.

"Also Nora, you mainly just blow up everything in sight," Weiss added, making the ginger grin sheepishly.

"Okay. Let me rephrase my question." Ruby sighed. "Who has the most control over their Aura?"

There was a beat before everyone turned their heads to Ren, who was stirring a cup of coffee.

"Hm?" He looked up to see everyone staring at him. "Sorry, I'm still a bit sleepy."

Ren stretches his arms, earning that pop in his joints as well.

~ ~ ~

Ruby and Ren stood across from one another, the rest of the group sitting in the bleachers a few feet away.

"So," Ren began. " before we begin, tell me what you know of Aura So we can focus on the necessities."

"Hm, okay. I guess I'll start with the basics." Ruby cleared her throat. "Aura is the physical manifestation of the Soul. It allows the user to shield themselves from harm, as well as a source of power for their Semblance should they have one."

Ren nodded at the explanation, so far so good.

"Let's see, um... oh! Glynda did talk about it too much but she mentioned something about Auric imbuing?" Ruby tilted her head.

"Yes, the art of imbuing your body with Aura. This allows the user to perform at a heightened level."

Ruby snapped her finger remembering Glynda's explanation.

"Oh yeah! I remember now! Glynda explained it to me yesterday."

"Good, that will save us some time." Ren pressed his hands together. He took a deep breath of air in before releasing it all out.

His body then glowed a dull pink, his Aura moved across his body like reflecting water.

Then his Aura began pooling together, the glow increasing as it all converted around his arms and feet.

"How good are you at hand-to-hand combat?" Ren moved into a stance.

"I'd like to say I'm pretty good." Ruby raised her hands in a boxer stance. She knew little martial arts, but she knew how to use her fists.

"I want you to manually keep your Aura up and not use your Semblance. I'll show you the difference between normal attacks is and imbued attacks." Ren instructed.

"Got it-!" Ruby ducked under Ren's fists as he lunged at her mid-sentence. Ruby did her best to avoid the attacks without using her Semblance.

While Ruby could fight effectively without her Semblance, she was so used to using it to speed her movements.

"Go Ruby go! Go Ruby go!" Yang cheered her sister from the bleachers.

"Fight well!" Blake waves a flag with the team name on it but was ultimately reading a book.

"Come Renny! Kick her ass!" Nora cheered.

Ruby appeared to be doing well, dodging his attacks and parrying. That is until he applied a bit more speed and ended up giving her an open palm strike right in her face.

"Ooo! That's gotta hurt!" Yang winced she could hear the smack from here.

Ruby was sent flying back, and instead of bouncing like a ball, she rolled slid across the ground like how a meaty flesh bag is supposed to.

"Ow! What the hell?! Why'd that hurt so much?!" Ruby rubbed her face which sported a comical red hand print on her face.

"That's because my Aura exceeded your Aura. Which allowed me to bypass your defense and cause actual damage to you." Ren's arms stopped glowing with Aura. "But did you notice how you didn't bounce when you hit the ground?"

"What do you...?" Ruby's eyes widened as she realized the boy was right. "Oh my gosh! You're right!" Ruby checked her body. She activated her Semblance on her hand and she smacked it.

Her fist hit her hand solidly and didn't bounce. She could feel her hand again.

"Alright!" Ruby cheered, doing a little jump.

"Now we can move on to how we can see if we can activate your 'bounciness' again." Ren helped up the redhead. "Your Semblance is speeding correct?"

"Eh, more or less." Ruby dusted herself off.

"What's the fastest you can possibly go?"

"The fastest I remember going was... hmm, it's enough to break the sound barrier, but when I do I get tunnel vision and it becomes difficult to control how fast I go," Ruby explained. "There's also a bunch of other variables, but they aren't too of a factor."

Ren nodded taking in the information. Traveling at the speed of sound was quite a feat, but the way Ruby explained made it seem she hadn't done it more than a few handfuls of times.

"Hm, okay. Go run a few laps to warm up while I and the rest try to formulate a plan of sorts." Ren stated.

"Got it, boss man!" Ruby took a stance before zooming off, rose petals fluttering in her wake.

~ ~ ~

After the group had mini-conference, the five had set up an impromptu obstacle course in one half of the arena while the other half remained empty.

"Okay Ruby, we've set up the best obstacle we could make in the five minutes we had," Weiss stated.

"This obstacle course will place your Semblance to the test to see if we can activate your so-called 'bounciness'. Until then we literally have no more ideas because we only had five minutes." Weiss deflated.

"Cool." Ruby twisted her back, getting an unholy, god awful crack in her spine. Everyone winced at the sound, their ears feeling like glass was being crushed right inside their ears.

"The point of this exercise is to try and bring out the bounciness, so while you don't ha e to be going at top speeds, just continue to use your Semblance," Ren instructed.

"Alright." The Reaper nodded.

"Also try and use your Aura at different amounts. If we can figure out specifically when you bounce, it'll be easier to pinpoint the exact measurements." The samurai added.

"That all!" Ruby finished stretching.

"Yep! Now go out there and show me some sweat!" Nora blew into a whistle right next to Ruby's ear.

The younger girl jumped in shock before she sprinted off, rose petals fluttering in her wake.

"Was that really necessary?" Blake groaned. No one knew she had an extra pair of ears, but at least the bow muffled the sound.

"Eh heh heh, sorry!" Nora grinned sheepishly.

~ ~ ~

Ruby ran through the obstacle course, rose petals flowing out of her body smoothly.

She ran at a constant pace, not wanting to drain her Aura immediately. At best she was jogging.

The first part of the course was a simple track, it was a nice start.

Then came hurdles. Alright nothing too hard, she could handle these. She leaped over the first hurdle and braced herself to bounce like a spring, but nothing happened.

Until she ran right into the next hurdle.

"Oof!" She fell forward her face smacking against the ground, but her Aura was already up. "I'm okay! Just thought I would bounce!" She yelled to her friends.

She picked herself up before continuing on. The next hurdle came up and she leaped over it as well. While she wasn't bouncing now, she still braved herself every time she jumped. The point of the course was to make her bounce, so she needed to be expecting it.

So far, the hurdles proved simple as she didn't bounce even a little. Ruby still kept a jogging pace, so she moved onto the next part.

Tires.

She didn't know where they got the tires nor did she know how they got them in here. She assumed Nora had something to with it.

As the tires came up, Ruby had decided to apply more Aura to her legs, hoping somehow the concentration would activate her bounciness.

Ruby ran through the tires, making sure her feet didn't get caught. She was practically stomping with the force she was applying.

Overall it wasn't too difficult as she finished the tires, next up was rock climbing.

...

Except it was just a wall with no holdings whatsoever.

Ruby turned to the group, a cute frown on her face.

"What am I suppose to do here?!" She shouted.

"You're supposed to reach the top Rubes!" Yang shouted back.

"No way dipshit! I thought I was supposed to crash right through! I meant how am I supposed to climb up there?! There are no holdings for me to grab onto!"

"You're supposed to jump up there!" Weiss explained. "Try applying Aura to your legs!"

Ruby did as she was told. She squatted down, tending her legs. She began applying Aura into her legs, Aura during in her muscles like a drug.

Then Ruby leaped up into the air. Her Aura helped her jump higher than usual as she cleared five feet of height.

Unfortunately, she didn't have enough energy as gravity began pulling her back down. Ruby promptly fell on her ass, making her groan out.

"Ugh, my ass." She rubbed her butt, before getting up. She huffed before squatting down again.

Her legs glowed with Aura as she tended her muscles. She would master this, she would not let this make a fool of her even if it already has.

Ruby closed her eyes as she concentrated on her Aura.

...

Now!

Ruby leaped high into the air, rose petals fluttering down as she made the jump. Up she went until she made it to the top.

"Hey, she did it!" Weiss stood up from her seat.

"It seems she has some experience in imbuing her body with Aura. Though she still needs some practice." Ren stated.

Ruby cheered as she finally made the leap. Unfortunately, she applied too much force and soared over the top of the wall and was now falling over it.

"Oh shit! Shit! Shit!" Ru y flailed as she fell forward.

Ruby fell flat on her back, an audible snap was heard as her Aura flashed and she bounced up into the air.

"Uh oh!" Everyone watched as Ruby shot up into the air and hit the ceiling. She seemed to squish like a kickball before she bounced off and down onto the ground.

"We gotta help her!" Yang leaped off the bleacher to help her sister. The others followed though Nora held her hammer a crazed smile on her face.

Ruby bounced around the training room like a ricocheting bullet. Every time she crashed into the ceiling or floor a smack was heard as she bounced off.

"Don't worry Ruby we'll help you!" Yang saw Ruby heading for a direction and rush to make contact.

"Yang wait!" Weiss called out.

Ruby shot at the blonde like a bullet as Yang prepared to catch her. Only she could barely follow Ruby with her eyes. She could barely react as Ruby flew towards her like a dodge ball.

"Oh, crap-." Ruby crashed into the brawler, the force sending both of them flying off into a wall.

Boom!

"Yang! Ruby!" Weiss shouted as she rushed over to the two sisters. The rest followed after hoping the two weren't hurt too badly.

As the dust settled, the two were seen with Ruby lying across Yang. Cartoon stars and Nevermores span around their heads as their Aura flickered.

"Hey, guys~..." Yang slurred out, her head in a tizzy. "How about we take five before we try again, huh?" She mumbled out before her head flopped down.

~ ~ ~

In another training room, three boys were cheering as two students 'sparred' with one another.

Pyrrha stood with Miló and Akoúo̱, her shield was scratched up as her sword was badly damaged. Nicks, burns, and bruises covered her body as she was apparently ordered to not use her Aura.

Cardin laughed as a slung his mace over his shoulder. Of course, he wasn't going to kill the girl, he just wanted her to not use her Aura so much. Enough so he could get a kick out of her looking so beaten.

"What's the matter, Nikos?" He taunted with a smug smile. "I thought you were supposed to be the 'invincible girl'? Untouchable? Undefeated! Are you losing your touch?"

Pyrrha didn't answer, not because she couldn't but only because she didn't want to. She wasn't too hurt, hell she fought far worse opponents even before she had her Aura unlocked.

She found that those who relied on their Aura too much were weak. After all, what happens after you run out of Aura, all you'll be left is your resolve and skill.

It had been two days. Two days since Cardin and his homos had blackmailed her into becoming their slave. So far, it wasn't too bad really. She had experience in following orders, back when she was under Senior's hand.

His orders were far more extreme than Cardin's. Cardin lacks the resolve Senior had, something Pyrrha was grateful for.

"Hey! You listening?" The bug chirped out. "If you don't pay attention, you might die." He fixed his grip on his mace before charging at her.

Pyrrha was able to avoid most attacks from the boy. She saw this more as an assessment of her actual skill rather than a spar. And any attacks that may have proved dangerous, she subtly altered the weapon's path with her Polarity.

That was it made it look like Cardin was a dumbass who couldn't fight rather than Pyrrha was dodging. Even so, she had to tank a few hits to feed the bastard's ego.

Cardin made an overhead swing, which Pyrrha blocked. The rebound made Cardin's mace bounce off and smack him in the face.

He stumbled back, falling on his ass. The rest of the group snickered at his blunder, but they shut their traps when Cardin glared at them.

He picked himself up, spat out saliva. He glanced up at the scoreboard and noted Pyrrha's Aura reserves were halfway, while Cardin's was still a little over a quarter.

"You know Nikos, that hurt pretty badly. I think you should apologize." He grinned. He gestured for his team to come over. They got the message and walked over with their weapons.

Pyrrha noticed the three other boys moving in but paid no attention. She just rolled her eyes before apologizing.

"I'm terribly sorry master Cardin," she spat out. The only thing bigger than Cardin's head was his ego. He wanted to be called master, the pathetic bastard.

"Hm, you know, I don't think you actually mean it." Cardin approaches the spartan as two of the boys go behind her. "I think you should apologize for some other way..."

"What do you want me to do Winchester?" She refrained from sneering at the fucker, knowing it would only set him off.

"Well, I was thinking..." he glanced over her body. "You do look really fit, even those muscles make you look quite the meal..."

It took a moment for Pyrrha to understand what the buffoon was talking about, but when she did it was too late.

Dove and Russel came up from behind and grabbed her arms. Sky and Cardin grabbed her legs, pinning her down.

She yelled out in anger as they began tearing off her armor. Sickening disgusting looks on their faces as they took off her armor.

She struggled and shouted as Cardin began unbuckling his belt. She tried to free herself but the two other bastards kept her arms down.

"Come on Nikos! Let's have some fun!" Cardin grinned as he grabbed her.

"Let GO OF ME!!!" Pyrrha screamed out as her body flashed in black Aura. A wave of magnetic energy blasted out sending the boys flying off.

Pyrrha picked herself up as her eyes burned red with Karma. But... it wasn't enough to activate fully.

The boys groaned as they picked themselves up. Dove held his head as a shadow loomed over him.

He looked up but didn't get a chance to see anything as a foot crashed into his face.

A sickening crack was heard as his nose shattered. He was sent flying across the arena.

"Dove!" Sky shouted. He turned to Pyrrha, a sneer in his face as he grabbed his halberd. "You bitch!"

He took aim as Pyrrha charged at the boy. He fired a shot, hitting Pyrrha in the shoulder. Blood spewed out as the bullet penetrated the flesh, but it did little as Pyrrha ignored the bullet.

Sky's face held fear as he aimed to fire another shot, but Pyrrha crosses the arena in a few seconds.

She grabbed the halberd's muzzle, the bullet firing through her hand, but she paid it no mind. She growled as she yanked it away from the weapon from the boy.

Sky raised his arms to defend himself, but Pyrrha skillfully slashes away at him. She didn't waste any energy as the halberd's blade cut the boy's Aura, the force tearing away at his shielding like paper.

A war cry was heard as Russel charged in from behind.

Pyrrha, in a quick and fluid motion, spun around on her heel and delivered a roundhouse kick to the boy's rib. A loud crack was heard as Russel was sent off to the side.

Pyrrha's instinct yelled at her to duck, so she did. Just in time to block to avoid a ball of fire sent over her head.

The Amazonian felt a fist connect with the back of her head, but instead of knocking her out, she just slowly turned her head to face the bastard.

Sky's face morphed from arrogance to fear as he saw his attack did nothing.

Pyrrha saw Cardin spin up another ball of fire, so she span around sucker punched Sky in the throat.

The boy choked from the attack but didn't get a chance to recover as he was hefted up like a sack of potatoes.

Pyrrha held Sky as a human shield as Cardin's fireball flew at them.

Sky's eyes widened as he flailed, trying to free himself, but failed as the fireball crashed into him.

The ball of fires exploded as it made contact with the boy. The flames and heat are away at what little Aura Sky had. He was then dropped kicked away, Pyrrha's kick fracturing his pelvis.

"Take this you fucker!" Cardin growled as he charged at Pyrrha. He launches another ball of fire at the Spartan, the fire Dust crystal in his mace exhausting itself.

Pyrrha rolled under the fireball but had to dodge Cardin's mace. She rolled to the side as it came crashing down.

The boy shouted as he swung at the Champion. He unconsciously used his Semblance as he began swinging faster and stronger.

But it didn't matter as Pyrrha gracefully dodged the attacks. She never wasted any movement only using the bare minimum amount of energy to dodge.

'How is she still able to fight?!' Cardin thoughts were panicked. The last he checked, Nikos' Aura was at half. She had no armor, no weapon, and barely an Aura! So how was she fight at near top condition?!

Cardin screamed as he swung down with an overhead swing. Time seemed to slow down as the mace's path was on track for Pyrrha's head. There was no way she could dodge the attack, and both of them knew it.

So Cardin was understandably shocked when his mace stopped just centimeters from the Spartan's head.

He blinked to make sure he wasn't dreaming. He tried to yank away his mace, but the damn thing wouldn't budge an inch! The weapon was glowing with a black aura, as was Pyrrha.

"What the hell?!" Cardin tried to pull his mace free, but it was all for naught.

Pyrrha growled as she slapped an open palm towards the boy's armored breastplate. It did nothing until the armor itself glowed black. Pyrrha clenched her fist as she waved her hand over her.

The armor soon groaned as Cardin was flipped over the Champion. He landed roughly on his back before he was sent skidding across the floor. His armor scraped against the stone floor as Pyrrha made the armor bounce like a ball.

Each time Cardin hit the ground, the force would shatter the concrete floor and remove a chunk of his Aura.

Pyrrha would have sent the boy flying into the air if not for Dove slashing away at her back. Blood spilled out, the Spartan's eyes widening. But the boy didn't stop there as he continued to attack the girl.

Dove got in two more bloody slashes in, before his sword was sent flying from his hand. He blinked in shock before Pyrrha slammed her fist into his repairing nose.

Dove stumbled back, holding his nose in pain, but Pyrrha didn't give him a chance as she delivered more punches.

A punch to the face.

A neck chop there.

A knee to the crotch.

And another to the face as Dove leaned forward in pain.

A crack was heard as Dove's Aura shattered like glass. but even then Pyrrha didn't stop as she suplex the larger boy.

Pyrrha popped her neck as Cardin picked himself up. He groaned as his mace was just a few feet from him. He grabbed the weapon before throwing the mace at the girl.

Only for Pyrrha to turn around and halt the weapon dead in its tracks midair with her Polarity.

The Spartan narrowed her eyes at the boy's pathetic attempt of an attack before she grabbed the mace. She activated the flail configuration before spinning it. She didn't need Dust, she didn't need Aura, she didn't her Semblance.

Humanity didn't have the luxury of dust, Aura, and Semblances. They fought Grimm, Faunus and each other for ages.

And she would as well.

Cardin felt the fear strike through his body as he tried to scramble away from the demon that was Pyrrha Nikos. The leftover fire from his flail still burned behind her, her body was naked and covered in blood and wounds, giving her the image of a devil. Her eyes burned red as she approached the boy.

"H-Hey!" he shouted in false bravado. "Y-you think you're tough shit?! You'd better get on your knees and ask for forg-giveness!" he demanded, but his squeals fell death to the demoness' ears. "You'll see! I-if you don't stop, then I'll tell the teachers! The school! Everyone will know that you and that damn brat kill that girl!" he shouted.

Pyrrha continued walking, only pausing for a moment when this pyg mentioned Ruby. There was a brief hesitation in her red eyes, but she pushed past it and continued walking. She stops right in front of the bastard, she was still spinning the flail, but she opted for something else.

"She will make you pay," she states with a dead tone before delivering an Aura imbued kick to the boy's head. Cardin's Aura shattered like glass before he was knocked unconscious.

Pyrrha dropped the pyg's-... the boy's weapon next to him. She took a deep breath in before slowly letting it all out. She flexed her hand so hard she broke a bone which was healed by Aura before she broke it again.

She let out a frustrated roar of anger, the air around her seemingly shimmering due to her Semblance. Her magnetism made the air hum, the light seemingly bending as gravity did as well.

After exhausting her aura completely along with her mental stress (and maybe her vocal cords), Pyrrha set out to the seek Ruby.

She knew she was in deep shit now. She could have killed the bastards, but there was no way she could have gotten away with it. Even if she was seemingly the nicest person on the planet, there was still solid proof. She couldn't get rid of the bodies without getting caught and adding another body to her list.

So, she would do what she always do when she was in a predicament.

Go to Ruby.

She knew the girl would always be there for her. One of the many, many, many reasons the champion just treasured the girl. One could even say she worshipped the younger redhead.

But as much as Pyrrha wanted to list the still many, many, many reasons she valued Ruby, she needed to get to her fast.

But first, first aid.

Pyrrha walked over to the first aid box the training room all had. She tried to open the box, but it was apparently locked.

KRSHHHH!!!

Pyrrha left the training room, leaving an empty spot where the first aid box hanged. Metal bolts and screw were left warped and deformed. She could have ripped the cabinet open, but it occurred to Pyrrha that she probably needed a bit more than painkillers and bandages. Luckily Ruby had medical knowledge. Another reason she was so perfect~.

~ ~ ~

It had been a little while since Ruby's little accident with her testing her Semblance. The six students were all taking a little lunch break, Ruby nomming on some strawberries.

"You know," Nora began, "I knew you said you bounced around like a ball, but seeing it in person was just amazing!"

"I have to agree with Nora." Weiss took a bite from her salad. "I too couldn't imagine what you meant by bouncing."

"Yeah! I didn't know your Semblance evolved Rubes!" Yang took a bite from a greasy cheeseburger she had. Weiss internally shivered in disgust. How could one eat such repulsive food?

"Yeah well, I didn't either until Weiss explained what was going on." Blake took a sip of her coffee. It wasn't some crazy concoction of drugs, Dust, or something insane amount of sugar. Just a normal black coffee.

"Yeah, well I still don't know how you get bounciness from speed." Weiss turned to Ruby. "How do you get that?"

"Don't look at me! I'm just as in the dark as you guys are!" Ruby threw another strawberry into her mouth, practically swallowing the entire thing.

A meow was heard as Cookie leaped onto the table. Everyone turned to face the feline, the cat letting out another meow.

"Awww Cookie~!" Ruby cooed as she stroked her baby. "Are you hungry? Here let me get you something. Nora, can you introduce her to everyone? I'll be right back!" Ruby then zipped off like a bullet to go get cat food.

When Ruby left the room, everyone, sans Nora, sat still just staring at the cat who apparently belonged to Ruby. Yang and Blake both stood still in fear as they were too afraid of gaining the demon cat's attention. Regardless Cookie merely glanced at the two making them flinch. They could see the amusement in the monster's eyes before she meowed.

This set the duo jumping into the air like cat's themselves before the scrambled as far away from the cat. Blake sat on Yang's shoulders as the blonde used the heiress as a human shield.

"What the-?! What has gotten into you two?! Yang let me go!" Weiss flailed pathetically, but she was too weak to break away from the brawler's grasp.

"No way Weiss!" Yang cried out.

"That thing is a menace," Blake added.

"It just a freaking cat!" Weiss struggled to get the two off of her but was still trapped. "Why is there a cat here anyway?!"

"This cat is Cookie!" Nora introduced the feline to everyone. "She belongs to Ruby as she said she had no one to take care of her. Isn't she adorable~?!" Nora showed the cat to Ren.

Both parties merely stared at one another before Cookie just stuck out her tongue.

"She is rather cute," Ren stated as he held the cat. He scratched behind the feline's ears, earning a rather loud purr from Cookie.

"Holy fucking Christ! Oh yeah~, riiiiight there~." Cookie slurred out a meow, seemingly enjoying the way green Sasuke scratched her.

Ren smiled at the cat's reaction. He knew right where to scratch, give him a chance and he'd get any pet to melt in his hands.

"See! She is adorable!" Nora smiled as she snatched away Cookie from Ren.

"NO! TAKE ME BACK TO VALHALLAAAAAA!!!" Cookie meowed out as she reached for green Sasuke.

"Here Weiss!" Nora promptly shoved Cookie into the heiress' arm. This made the Bumblebee duo to get the fuck off the ice queen and zoom off. They headed straight for the door, wanting to escape, but they crashed right into a red blur.

"Ah fuck! Not again!" Ruby bounced forward and was about to go off on a spree if Ren wasn't there to smack her down.

"Ugh... thanks, Ren..." Ruby groaned out.

"No problem, but you show make sure to control that bounce off your before you zoom around." Ren took a drink of his green mystery goop.

"And you two! Why the hell is you guys in such a rush?!" Ruby scolded the Bumblebee duo.

"It's not our fault!" Yang tried to defend.

"Yeah, it's that damn monster!" Blake pointed to the cat but was surprised at its location.

Weiss took a sip of tea from her cup, like a proper lady. She opened her eyes to see everyone looking at her oddly.

"What?" she raised a brow.

"Um, Weiss," Yang pointed to the cat. "Why is that cat on your head?"

"Because she finds it enjoyable."

"And you're okay with that?" Blake expression was unbelieving.

"I don't see why it's a problem." the white-haired girl took another sip of tea from her cup. True to the duo's words, Cookie was sleeping soundly on top the heiress' head. She was purring softly as little Z's floated from her.

"Awww, she's so cute~." Ruby smiled at the sight, before pulling out one of her many knives. She stabbed it into the can of tuna she had, and began opening it.

KREEEEEEE!!!

Cookie's eyes immediately shot open at the sound of a can being opened. She jerked her head towards the source and saw her master smiling warmly at her with the can of tuna in hands.

"Omae wa mou shindeiru." she meowed out as she fucking teleported over to Ruby.

"Nani?!" The can of tuna shouts out in shock.

...

It didn't actually speak out. It's a figure of speech-

Cookie began vibrating like a fucking jackhammer as she awaited her master to place her food in her bowl.

"Alright, alright, here let me get a bowl for you. Can't have you eating it out of a can like an animal, can we now?" Ruby pulled out a plate from her ass before setting it down. She poured out the delicious, succulent, tuna out of the can, tapping out any that didn't fall out, and onto the plate.

The moment the tuna came out of the can before it even touched the plate, Cookie was already fucking voring that tuna. Consuming it all like a black hole.

Over by the Bumblebee duo, where both idiots laid on the floor unconscious, the scent of Tuna lingered over their bodies. Yang stayed knocked out, but Blake's nose, being the racial stereotype that she is, twitched at the scent of fish. Specifically Tuna.

Her eyes shot open as she also fucking teleported over to Ruby with the use of her Semblance. She loomed over the redhead's shoulder. Her mouth salivating over the scent.

"Hm? Oh, Monty Oum Blake! You scared the crap outta me!" Ruby jerked her body away in surprise. She also happened to scoop up some leftover tuna, which did not go unnoticed by Cookie.

"Hm? Oh, sorry, Ruby!" Blake apologized, her fear of the demon cat momentarily forgotten. "It's just that I couldn't help but noticed the sweet sweet smell of fish you had. Specifically Tuna~." Blake's eyes went all dreamy as she could practically taste the tuna.

"Hm? Oh yeah, I'm just feeding cookie here." ruby gestured to her cat, who just growled at Blake. "now, now Cookie. It's okay, this is Blake. She's a friend." Ruby picked up the cat, showing her off to Blake.

Blake leaned away from the growling feline, her Faunus instincts shouting at her to either kill the cat or get the fuck outta dodge. But her love for Tuna was too great! Damn her Faunus heritage!

"O-Oh, yeah I r-remember her." Blake gave a crooked smile as she moved around Ruby and away from the cat, but now she was closer to the tuna!

"You do? Oh yeah, last night! I oughta' thank you for helping Xiao Long watch over her. Is there anything you'd like?" Ruby held Cookie under her left arm while she held the remaining tuna in her right hand.

"Yes!" Blake perked up happily. "I mean, yes, you can." Blake smiled, she didn't want to seem too excited.

"Oh? What's that?" Ruby leaned forward.

"Welllll~, I couldn't help but notice that you had some leftover tuna in that can of yours." Blake pointed to ruby's hand. "And well, I really like tuna, for no specific reason of course, so I was wondering if you'd let me have some of that? Pretty please?' Blake gave her best Puss n' Boots eyes the best she could, hoping it'd work on the redhead.

Of course, Ruby was the master at puppy dog eyes, so she was completely immune to the eyes. But she began wondering why Blake would want her tuna so badly- oooooohhhhhh.

An amused grin appeared on the reaper's face as realization dawned on her face. Blake was a cat Faunus, well no one knew that, but she did.

Blake seemed to be put off by the creepy grin on Ruby's face until realization dawned on her that Ruby knew she was a Faunus. Well, she didn't know, but she strongly hinted that she knew.

"You know, now that I think about it, tuna isn't so great." The words felt like sin on her tongue.

"Are you fur sure?" Ruby grin seemed to widen. "Purr-haps you feline a bit un-fur-tunate about this paw-sibilty?" Oh no. "Or maybe you find something else a-paw-ling?" Oh dear Oum no. "Are these puns not paw-some? Oh, come on! I'm litter-ally shooting these out!"

"Ruby..." Blake grounded out. "Stop."

"Pawww, change that cat-titude! You look mew-serable!"

Blake's face only grew more anger. Someone was going to catch on.

"Meow, meow," Ruby held her hands up weakly. "Let's not get hiss-terical now." Ruby could only grin in false nervousness at Blake's expression.

The hidden Faunus look about ready to murder the Reaper right about now.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop, I'll stop." The redhead chuckled. She offered the can of tuna to the ninja cat, who brighten, if only a little.

"I hate you." Blake huffed as she reached for the can of tuna.

"Yeah, I love me too." Ruby grinned as Cookie growled at the Faunus. When Blake touched the can, Cookie lunged at the hidden Faunus.

"Gah! No!" Blake flailed around as Cookie scratched away at the ninja's face. The cat's claws somehow bypassed the Faunus' Aura and scratched away at the skin.

"Cookie! No!" Ruby snatched Cookie from Blake's head. She yanked off her cat, who flew across the room and onto Weiss' head. Or rather her face specifically.

"Gah! Get off my face!" Weiss muffled screamed were heard as she stumbled around.

"Don't worry Weiss we'll help!" Nora declared as she lunges at Weiss as well.

"Nora!" Ren shouted as the ginger climbed onto Weiss like a tree, only making things worse.

Ruby snorted in laughter as she saw the mayhem unfold. Cookie was always protective of her food. Guess Blake being a cat made things a little worse.

"I. Hate. That cat." Blake stated as her face was covered in scratches.

"Well, you should never mess with a cat's foooooo-," Ruby sentence was dragged out as she saw something that wasn't supposed to be seen.

"Blake!" Ruby whisper shouted. "Your ears!"

Blake blinked as she held her human ears. "What's wrong with my ears?"

"No! Your other ears!" Ruby beckoned with her head at Blake's little kitty ears. They were out in the open, easily visible.

"My ears...?" Blake reaches up to her cat ears, she rubbed her fingers over them, no longer feeling the fabric of her bow. It took a moment for Blake to realize what that meant. "My ears!" Blake jerked her head over to the group.

Ren was too busy trying to pry off Nora off of Weiss who still had Cookie attaches to her face. Blake turned to Yang who still laid unconscious, but she was slowly coming too.

"Rubyyyyy!!!" She hissed out. This was all her fault!

"Uh, don't worry!" Ruby grabbed Blake's hand and used her Semblance to dragged her into a closet.

"There! Now you're safe!" Ruby grinned proudly only to get a slap to the face. "Ow! What was that for?!"

"For nearly exposing my secret to everyone!" Blake shouted, anger present in her eyes.

"It wasn't my fault! It was Cookie's! And besides, I already know about your ears!"

"And that's another thing! How the hell do you know about my Faunus heritage?" Blake loomed over the smaller girl. She was tense, scared, and angry all at the same time.

"The same way I knew about your full name, Blake Belladonna." Ruby leaned forward. She was not going to be pushed around.

Blake took a moment to process that information. That still didn't tell her anything, but her name was apparently enough to connect her to Faunus.

"What do you want?" Blake suddenly asked, catching Ruby off guard.

"Huh?" The redhead replied intelligently.

"I said, what. Do. You. Want?" Blake repeated. "Money? Sex? Information? If you've known all this time why haven't you told anyone? You must want something from me if you haven't snitched in me."

Ruby held her breath for a second before sighing. "Blake-"

"Do you want me to be your slave? Do you want to make fun of me? Do you want to expose me for popularity? Answer me!" Blake slammed her fist against the wall next to Ruby's head.

"Nothing," Ruby answered coolly.

"... huh?" Blake answered intelligently.

"I said nothing." The Reaper repeated. "I don't want money, I don't want info, no sex, no fame, nothing." She crosses her arms.

"Then why haven't you-"

"Why should I?" Ruby interjected. "You have your identity keep secret for a reason. And I'm not going to destroy your privacy because you're a Faunus. I'm not going to have you because you have another set of ears. None of that matters to me."

Blake was now silent. She didn't know how to respond.

"Look, Blake, everyone has secrets. We all do." She took hold of the Faunus' hand, noting how she flinched. "And I know you have your reason for keeping your identity a secret, I get it. Velvet can barely go through an entire day without being discriminated because of what she was born as."

"But she has friends that care for her, I care for her. We see her as who she is, not for what she is."

"And I want you to know that I don't give a damn about you being a Faunus. If I hate someone, it's either because they're an asshole or they're a piece of shit. Regardless of whether they're human or Faunus."

"You're my friend Blake, and I care about you. I care about you just as much as I care about Pyrrha. Just as much as Jaune, and Velvet, and every one of my friends."

"So trust me when I say it doesn't matter whether you're a Faunus. You're Blake Belladonna to me."

Ruby wrapped her arms around Blake's body, giving her a hug. Blake hesitantly wrapped arms around Ruby as well.

She was at a loss for words. She had grown up trying to fight for equality, battling the human's hate, be it through protests or violence.

And when she left the White Fang, wanting to leave the hate and death, she expected to find some peace.

Instead, she found someone who didn't care about her race. She saw her as who she was rather than why she was. She saw her as a friend.

"T-thank you, Ruby, for not... for being my friend." Blake could feel her eyes begin to water. "It's just that-"

"Shhhh, it's okay. I understand. I'd be feeling paranoid if someone knew my secret and didn't do anything with it. I understand." Ruby rubbed the Faunus' back in little circles, giving some form of comfort.

The two stayed together in a comfortable silence between one another. Until it was broken.

"What the-?! Pyrrha?!" Weiss' voice could be heard from outside.

"P-money, why are you naked?!" Yang's cries followed.

"Uh oh, here!" Ruby grabbed her cap and smacked it on top of Blake's head effectively hiding her ears.

"Where's Ruby?" Pyrrha's rough voice could be heard.

"She's in the closet with- hey Pyrrha slow down, you're hurt-"

Boom!

The door to the closet was kicked open as Pyrrha stood in the doorway.

"Pyrrha? Where have you been? I've been looking all over-..." Ruby notices the injuries Pyrrha bore on her body. "Your bleeding!"

"Hm? Yes, I am, but it's not too much of a problem-"

"'Not too much of a problem?!' You get your ass back out there and let me help you!" Ruby demanded.

"Ruby, we don't ya e time for that. I need-"

"NOW!" Ruby yelled.

"Yes, mistress!" Pyrrha complied as she ran over to the bleachers.

'Mistress? Dafuq?' Everyone thought as Pyrrha rushed over to a seat.

She flopped down on a seat, her breasts bouncing due to the lack of bra... and lack of everything else. Ruby soon zoomed over to the Spartan, her hands already glowing blue with Karma.

"Oh my god! Pyrrha, just what happened to you" ruby stated as she examined the Amazonian's wounds. She turned to Yang, irritation visible on her face. "Xiao Long don't just stand there, tear open that first aid for me you oaf!" Ruby began applying Karma to Pyrrha's wounds.

The burning sensation of her blood clotting didn't even bother Pyrrha as she was more focus on the fact that she was being treated by Ruby and that the redhead was so concerned about her.

"Hm? Oh..." she pursed her lips, she glanced at the others in the room. She needed to word herself carefully. "I fought team CRDL(Cardinal)."

"CRDL(Cardinal)?" Ruby pauses for a second before Yang gave her the box. She pulled out some antiseptic and cotton before cleaning the blood.

"Why were you fight those idiots? Did they ambush you?" Weiss stated, there was no way Pyrrha Nikos would lose to a couple of meatheads like CRDL(Cardinal).

"No, it's just I was already sparring with Cardin, and... well they decided to attack me when I was weakened." Pyrrha felt Ruby pause again, she couldn't tell if she was grabbing another ball of cotton or was confused about this story.

"Those bastards! Why I oughta break their legs!" Nora pulled out Magnhild.

"Don't bother, I already destroyed them." Pyrrha narrowed her eyes.

"There, finished." Ruby declared. "Just let me apply the bandages." She turned to the brawler and gave her the trash. "Here make yourself useful and get rid of this, Xiao Long."

"Got it." Yang was about to head off, but Ruby grabbed her wrist.

"Make sure it can't be found, Xiao Long." Ruby leveled a state to the blonde.

"R-right." Yang nodded before heading off.

"That still doesn't explain why you're naked," Weiss commented.

"... they tried to rape me," Pyrrha answered calmly.

Everyone blinked at the statement, shock running through their body.

"W-what?" Weiss words failed her as she could only imagine what had happened.

"They tried to, but I kicked their fucking asses so I guess it's okay, but it's not really" Pyrrha's body did a little shiver. It's not the actual attempted rape, but more so at how they almost got her.

"And you're okay with this Ruby-!" Blake turned to the redhead noting how she had been silent, but her words died off from the expression the Reaper had.

"Ruby?" Pyrrha turned to the redhead.

Her face was contorted out of rage, her teeth were grinding against each other. Her body was shaking so violently from the rage that a few rose petals fluttered out.

Veins bulged out of Ruby's forehead as she saw red.

"THEY DID WHAT?!?!" She screamed out as a blast of pure, unadulterated, hate just washed over the entire area.

Her eyes glowed no-, they burned red with rage as she huffed out. Her anger and will could be felt by everyone as her gums began bleeding from the strain.

The group felt fear and will crash into their psyche that threatened to drown them. To say that the air was thick and heavy would be an understatement, they could no breathe.

They scrambled away from the girl, hoping not to incur her wrath. They knew that hatred was aimed at them, but they still fear for their very lives.

The only one who withstood the overwhelming willpower was Pyrrha. She sat the close test to Ruby and yet, she still somehow bore through the drowning willpower.

"I'm going to make every last one of them suffer." Ruby hissed out as she made her way out, but a hand pulled her back.

She jerked her head to the idiot who dare stop her, but her burning glare softened when she saw it was Pyrrha.

"Pyrrha. Let. Go. Of me." Ruby growled out.

"Ruby Listen-!"

"What's there to listen?! I know everything I need to know to make them suffer." A bit of will leaked out.

"I know, but you can't!" Pyrrha pleaded with her friend. She had her heart in the right place, Hell she wanted to kill those fuckers! But they couldn't just outright kill them.

"What do you mean why not?!" Ruby shrieked our, her Will was lessening, but it still remained strong.

"They have dirt on me!" Pyrrha confessed. "They know about the murder." She whispered. "They threatened to exposed both of us, and, and- I couldn't let that happen!" Pyrrha's voice was cracking as her eyes began tearing up.

All sense of hatred dissipated from Ruby at the sight of seeing Pyrrha cry. It was still there but there were more important things.

"Pyrrha..." Ruby kneeled down and brought her into a hug, one Pyrrha gladly accepts. She cried into the Reaper's shoulder as Ruby rubbed her bad in circles.

"Shhhh, shh shh. It's okay, it's okay. I'm right here Pyrrha, I'm right here." Ruby comforted the spartan, offering her presence.

It was a late night, and Jaune had come back for the day. After mass had finished, Jaune had spent the day in Vale. He had finally managed to find a blacksmith to repair his armor. He would have asked Ruby, but apparently, he couldn't do things on his own.

After that, he had gone to the orphanage as he always did every Sunday. He always self a sense of satisfaction when he helped out.

Jaune was currently standing on the rooftops of the dorms. He could see most of the campus from his vantage point, and well it had been a pretty good day.

"Nice view ain't it?" A voice spoke.

"Yeah, it sure is..." Jaune agreed.

...

Wait.

Jaune turned to see who spoke was nearly jumped when he saw Ruby standing right next to him.

"Monty Oum! Ruby, you can't just sneak up on me like that!" He held his chest, he almost had a heart attack!

Ruby just giggled at the boy's reaction, it was always amusing to mess with Jaune.

"Well, guess you should be more aware of your surroundings then, huh?" She smiled smugly. "Though I guess if you trained enough you'd be able to sense me. Hey, speaking of presence did Pyrrha offer you to help?"

'Ah, shit here we go again.' Jaune let out a breath as he prepared to argue with his friend. "Yes, she did." he started.

"Oh? But I haven't heard from her that you accepted her help." Ruby feigned innocence.

"That's because I didn't accept her help," Jaune stated firmly. "I can grow stronger on my own, and I don't need friends who don't believe in me. You said I'm weak, right?" he turned to Ruby, his brow furrowing.

"Yes, I did." Ruby kept her expression neutral.

It only seemed to piss off Jaune as he growled. "So what? I'm not strong enough? Am I not as good as the rest of you guys? I put in just as much- no, I put in twice as much effort to even keep up with you guys!" his voice was raising. "I thought you believed in me? I thought that the training you helped me with was to help me get stronger?"

"It was, and it did. But you can't just get to Huntsman level strength in one year Jaune." Ruby tapped her foot. Was Jaune really that prideful? "I do believe in you Jaune, that's why I offered to help."

"And yet you still think I'm weak."

"Jaune, I understand where you coming from. I know what it feels like to be weak-"

"No, you don't!" The blond knight cut her off. "How could you understand what if feels like to be weak?! You can use so many goddamn weapons! You swing around a giant fucking sword like it's nothing! You kill So many Grimm so efficiently I'm sure you probably kill a million of them!"

"Jaune," Ruby's face was neutral, annoyed a worse. She waited for the blond to finish so he could listen. "Listen-"

"No Ruby! You always push me around, I can see it in your eyes you see me as a burden-"

The ranting boy was cut off he was pushed off the roof. His eyes widened as he flailed around. The lack of ground catching him off guard.

The last thing Jaune saw was Ruby's pissed off face as he fell.

He flipped around the air resistant spinning him like a pancake.

'Oh god, oh god, oh god!' He panicked, too afraid to even scream. 'Is this how I die? Betrayed by my friend? It won't even look like a murder, just a suicide.'

Jaune stopped flailing, his life flashed before his eyes as the ground grew closer and closer.

'I guess I deserve it,' he resigned. 'A pathetic weakling like me would never survive a fall like this. Anyone else with Aura could, I guess I really am weak.'

Tears spilled out from the boy's eyes as he hit the ground.

BOING!

The sound of a spring was heard as Jaune fall was abruptly stopped. The air was squeezed out of his lungs as wires seemed to stop his fall.

The momentum strained the wires before he bounced up like a yo-yo. The wires cut into his Aura, but he was otherwise fine as the wires wrapped around him.

Slowly but surely, the boy was pulled back up into the roof, where Ruby was the one pulling the strings. Get it?

Her eyes glowed blue as she struggled to pull the boy back up. Man for a scrawny boy like him he sure did weigh a lot. The wires cut into her fingers as she had no gloves.

With a final heave, Ruby launched the boy back onto the roof, Jaune flopping down on his face.

"Agh fuck." He groaned out, he picked himself up as Ruby took a breather. "Ruby! What the fuck?!" He shouted as he marched over to the girl.

First, she tried to kill him, then save him? She probably didn't want the blood in her hands.

"Jaune... I-"

"Save it, Ruby! You just tried to kill me! Nothing you say will make this better!" Jaune was pissed now.

The boy opened his mouth to yell at her, but Ruby jerked up and knee'd him right in the crotch. Jaune's Aura didn't stand a chance as Ruby's knee was imbued with Aura, she broke right through his defenses like a cannonball against a sandcastle.

Birds and animals all scurried off due to the high pitched girlish scream that echoed throughout the entire campus.

Somewhere in Beacon's tower, Ozpin was going through some files on Ruby. He was looking through her history and was about to find a crucial piece of information when suddenly his mug shattered into a thousand pieces. Hot coffee spilled all over his computer and documents, ruining all of his work.

"DAMN IT!" He yelled, whether in frustration or in anger over his mug no one would know.

~ ~ ~

Jaune let out a small squeak as he held his crotch. He was about to crumble down, but Ruby delivered another knee to his face, knocking him back.

He yelled in pain holding his probably broken nose, but before he even thought about recovering, Ruby zipped up to him and sucker punched him in the gut.

He leaned forward dry hacking before Ruby grabbed him by his shirt and finished him with a hard headbutt.

She slammed her forehead into his, making them both wince in pain. Blood leaked out from Ruby's head as she had removed her Aura. She wanted to make a point.

"YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE WEAK?!" Ruby shouted out at the top of her lungs.

"Everyday I'm always hunted by the creatures of Grimm, twenty-four seven, Jaune," Ruby explained, confusion the boy. "When I was fucking six, some bitch branded me with a curse. She told me that every day, every night, Grimm would be attracted to the brand."

"What do you think happened Jaune? What do Grimm do? They wanted to kill me. They wanted me to tear me apart, not because I'm human! Oh no, they wanted me to die a horrible death because of this fucking brand."

"Nowhere was safe. A town, a village, an abandoned house, they always came, Jaune. Always."

"And if I tried hiding in a town, they would still come, only now they had other targets. People died because of me because I existed."

She lets go of the blond. She huffs as she walks towards the roof's edge.

"I fought tooth and nail, blood and sweat, to even get a chance to survive. And I had to fight even harder to live, so don't talk about me not k owing weakness Jaune." She turns and faces the boy.

"So swallow your goddamn fucking pride like a cumshot and come help me save Pyrrha. She's in trouble and I need more people to help. You can go fuck off after we're done, but I suggest you get your head straight." Ruby huffs before leaving the boy alone.

Jaune just sits on his ass, left alone with his thoughts.

~ ~ ~

That night, even into the morning, Ruby was wide awake. Her eyes were narrowed, not from a lack of sleep, but from how she scanned for any movement.

She awaited right outside team CRDL's(Cardinal) dorm, making sure they didn't go and inform anyone of Pyrrha's deeds. She knew they were in there, licking their wounds. Pyrrha didn't hurt them too badly, unfortunately. She merely beat them enough so that she could escape.

She could hear the boys inside, their yells muffled from the door.

"Cardin, what the fuck do we do?!" A boy, Dove, Russel, or Sky, Ruby didn't care. She just knew which was Cardin and which were the dogs.

"Shut up! Someone could hear you." Cardin quietly yelled out. There was a moment of silence followed by some muffling and a curse. "Here's what we'll do. We won't snitch on Nikos just yet."

"Why the hell not?! She beat the shit out of us!" Another voice shouted. There was a slap followed by a shout of pain.

"I said keep it down!" Cardin growled out. "We need to make sure she didn't run off, the damn bitch. We'll find here and give her another chance. She's too valuable to lose right now."

"We'll make her beg for forgiveness before beating the fuck out of her. Then, we'll make her do some shit so we can make sure she can't ever escape!"

There was rancor of laughter.

"That's our boss! Always thinking one step ahead." A third voice boasted.

"The thing is, we gotta find a way to get rid of that little red brat." Cardin hummed in thought.

"Hey, don't we got a field trip tomorrow?"

"Yeah, to... uh, what was it? Some dumb forest."

"The Forever Falls," Ruby mumbled to herself. They were planning something.

"Whatever it is, there's gonna be Grimm over there." Cardin spike once again. "And we won't make Nikos kill the girl, but we'll make her do something to beat her up a bit."

"Hey, don't we got a wasp nest right outside our window?" One of the boys mentioned.

"Wasps like sweet stuff right? And that forest has some sweet ass sap." Ruby could practically feel the boys grinning.

"Yeah, smart thinking Dove."

"My name's not Dove."

"We'll get some of that sap, and make Nikos throw it on her. The brat'll be pissed at her, she won't wanna be around her." Cardin explained. "Then, that's where we jump her. She may be able to fight one of us, but she won't be able to fight all of us!"

The boys all laughed again, enjoying their 'foolproof' plan. They all stayed up for a bit before going to sleep, even so, Ruby still stay watch. She couldn't take any chances.

And she was right as the door opened. One of the boys came out, he had a bit of casting on his swollen nose.

"Cardin's a fool if he thinks his plan gonna work." He mumbled out as he sneaked away. "I'll tell Goodwitch right now, about Pyrrha's murder."

The boy made a turn on a corner, but due to the darkness, he bumped right into something.

"Ugh, the hell-?" Dove was cut off as a blade was pressed against his throat.

"Go back to sleep." Ruby's voice softly spoke as she chopped the boy on the back of his neck. He fell unconscious falling on Ruby, who caught him.

She dragged him back into the dorm and placed him back on his bed. She tucked him in, before leaving the room.

She sat across the door, twirling her mother's blade in her hand.

No, Ruby would not be taking any chances.

9,940 words excluding disclaimer and Author's Notes. I will accept criticism and opinions.

Oooo boi! Looks like things are cooking up! Cardin and his goons are scheming and Ruby's not taking any chance! Though even if you're accustomed to little sleep, I wonder how Ruby will do after three emotional drainings, an intense workout, and pulling an all nighter wide awake. Gotta take a toll on her.

Jaune got his ass beat, little fucker needs to swallow his dam pride. I have special plans for that boy. Just you guys wait.

Au revoir!
