Red vs Blue
it was the next day, and goddamnit, I fucked up already, anyways, the students were currently listening to professor Goodwitch blabber on about Dust efficiency and close quarter combat.
"And that's how you dislocate the shoulder of a larger, heavier opponent." Glynda smiles, happy she was teaching the future men and women of humanity.
Though most of the class were listening, there were still a few who were either asleep or not paying attention.
Specifically a Jaune Arc.
"Mister Arc!" She called out, gaining the daydreaming boy's attention. "Thank you for volunteering to spar against Miss Xiao Long."
Jaune eyes widened in fear as Yang perked up in peaked-, pichued-, pikachu-, FUCK! PIQUED attention.
"M-me?! A-against her?!" he pointed at the blonde who seemed offended at the gesture.
"Is there a problem Mister Arc?" Glynda pushed her glasses up.
"Uh, Yeah! She'll destroy me!" Jaune admitted. He was fine as being view as weak, it was that or letting his pride kill him by Yang's big ass sword going up his ass.
"Yeah, vomit boy's right." Yang butts (get it? Jesus Christ) into the conversation. "I mean, Jaune isn't weak, but I'll break him like a stick."
'Thank you Yang! Someone understands... I think?' Jaune prays to his God in gratitude. Tell that to the... never mind.
"Don't you have anyone tough? That last fight with Rubes made me itch for something tougher." She rolled her shoulder grinning in anticipation.
Glynda hummed at the two's pleas. While she wanted the boy to grow, he couldn't do that if he was one shotted by the brawler.
Her emerald eyes scanned the room, searching for someone who was near Xiao Long's level of skill and strength.
The students seemed to understand what Glynda was doing, and shied away. They knew Yang's strength. And if the way she held that massive slab of iron was anything to go by, then her punches were enough.
Emerald eyes met another pair of emerald. These starting into Glynda's as if asking for permission.
Glynda smirked in amusement. She supposed this could serve as payback for the last match yesterday.
After all, Xiao Long did say she wanted someone tougher.
"Miss Nikos thank you for volunteering to spar against Miss Xiao Long." Glynda announces, catching everyone's attention.
Yang blinked for a moment before she realized who Goodwitch said she was going to fight against.
"Woah, woah, woah! Hold on a minute! Don't you think that a bit too much?" Yang pleads with the dominatrix woman.
"What do you mean Miss Xiao Long? You clearly stated you wished to spar against someone stronger did you not?" Glynda held back a smirk.
"Y-Yeah, But, not someone against Pyrrha! She's like... she's Pyrrha Nikos!" Yang words fail to make sense. "Besides! I didn't hear Pyrrha say anything about volunteering-!"
"I will gladly volunteer to spar against Yang, Professor Goodwitch." Pyrrha voiced out, walking towards the locker room.
Yang could only watch in shock with a gaping mouth as she looked at the professor. But all she saw was mirth in the witch's emerald eyes.
This was a set up. And the two were wordlessly in on it together.
~ ~ ~
"Are both combatants ready?" Glynda asked standing on the side lines.
"Ready!" Pyrrha voiced out. Rather than her usual armor, the red head decided to go with another set or armor. One that was suited for more protection yet still maintained that mobility her first armor possessed.
Yang had decided to go all out, seeing as she would need to have a chance at beating Pyrrha.
She had Dragkov, Ole' Reliable, and Ember Celica. She wore her lighter mod on her gauntlets, and had specialized incendiary shells for her gauntlets and slug shots for her sawed off.
She took a breath before letting it all out. Man, she should have some sign or dream that she was gonna fight Pyrrha. Maybe picking Ruby to spar wasn't the best choice. The glares she got from the spartan and witch should have been a warning enough.
"Miss Xiao Long, are you ready?" Glynda's voice brought her out of her thoughts.
"Um, yeah... yeah! I'm ready! I'm gonna kick your ass Nikos!" Yang slammed her fists together. She was't gonna lose! She was Yang Branwen Xiao Long!
In fact, she was gonna beat Pyrrha as a way of telling her to back away from Ruby. She didn't need to be with her little sister when she was trying to fix their relationship!
"Okay then, begin!" Glynda declares as the scoreboard buzzed to life.
There was a beat of baited silence, before Pyrrha charges at the brawler.
Akoúo is thrown at the brawler, the spinning edge shining sharply.
Yang is quick to slap away the weapon, but fails to defend when a spear stabs at her.
Pyrrha repeated jabs at the blonde, yellow Aura chipping away as she aims for vital spots.
She holds out a hand, a black unseen Aura glowing, as her airborne shield flies back to her master.
Pyrrha swings her shield at the blonde, the edge bouncing off of Yang's gauntlets.
Yang growls as she grabs the Amazon and reels back a fist to pummel her, but Pyrrha punches her in the throat before she could.
Yang stumbles back, dry hacking. A knee smashes into her face, making her fall back on her butt.
Pyrrha moves into stab Yang, but the blonde pulls out Ole' Reliable and fires out a shot.
Pyrrha quick enough to pull out her shield as the shot sends her back.
Yang fires another shot, the force enough to push back Pyrrha as Yang, slaps in two more shells.
The two stare at one another for a moment, catching their breaths as Yang makes the next move.
Yang fires out two screaming flares from her gauntlets, the flares homing in on Pyrrha.
Pyrrha is quick to dodge the shot and deflect another as she charges at Yang.
Yang throws a fist at the spartan, but it's partied by her shield.
Pyrrha delivers an Aura imbued uppercut, sending the blonde stumbling back.
But Yang pushes through and delivers several punches, firing off shots.
Pyrrha either dodges the shots or parries the fist expertly as taunts Yang.
Until Yang just jerks her head forward, head butting Pyrrha square in the face.
Yang uses the opportunity to push back as she delivers several blows to the spartan.
Pyrrha lets out a breath as she sent flying back with a punch to the face.
She sits out a blob of blood before sprinting at the brawler with much faster speed.
Yang has little time to react as Pyrrha lunges at her with her javelin.
She raises her arms to defend with her gauntlets, but a force keeps them down as Pyrrha thrusts.
Shing!
Time seemed to slow down as Miló passes by Yang's head, barely missing the blonde.
But she was't fast enough as a rather long lock of golden hair was cut clean off.
The lock of hair fell gracefully as Yang could only watch in shock.
Pyrrha took advantage of this opportunity and delivered a high kick right to the brawler's head.
Yang's head only jerks as her body remained still.
Pyrrha blinked at the resistance, before she felt a heat rise.
"You..." Yang clenched her hands hard enough to hear a pop. "You..." her hair glowed a golden fire as she looked up.
Her eyes burned red with rage.
"YOU BITCH!!!" She exploded out in rage. A wave of heat blasted out sending the spartan stumbling back a bit.
Pyrrha looked up only to see a armored fist right at her face.
BOOM!
A loud boom was made as Pyrrha was sent flying across the arena.
But the raging blonde wasn't done as she rushed at the Spartan her hair burning like the sun.
She lunges at the redhead and slams her down to the ground.
Pyrrha lets out a hack as she sees Yang flip and slam down her foot.
Another boom was heard as Yang's foot had barely missed the spartan as she had dodged. A cloud of dust had flew up, lowering visibility.
Yang growled as she searched for the spartan, her eyes still burning red with rage.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
"HAI YO!!!" Pyrrha lunges from the dust. She jabs her javelin at Yang once again, the blonde dodging.
In a smooth motion, Pyrrha transforms Miló into a xiphos and slashes away at the brawler.
Yang dodges, blocks and parties at slashes her Semblance heightening her reflexes.
Yang deflects a slashes and lunges forward. She grabs Pyrrha by the throat and raises her off the ground.
Everyone gasps in shock as Pyrrha looks to be defeated.
Pyrrha struggles to free herself as Yang feels back a fist. She stops struggles and points her shield at the blonde.
Yang prepares to throw the spartan, but pauses as she aims the shield at her face. A barrel then pops out.
"Wha-?"
KA-BOOOOOM!!!
A massive explosion was made as Yang was sent flying back and into the wall of the arena.
"Holy shit!" Jaune shouted as everyone was also shocked. What the hell was that?!
Pyrrha groaned as she picked herself up. Smoke was coming out of her shield. She flipped it around and pulled back a lever. Out then came a glowing hot shell dropping onto the ground with a clang.
Pyrrha lets out a sigh as she rolled her shoulder. While the cannon hidden in her shield was a great weapon for dealing mass amounts of damage, the kickback was really a pain. Even reinforcing her body with Aura only dulled the pain, in fact she had to so her arm wouldn't fly off.
But still... she turns to the smoking rubble where Yang laid. It was a great trump card, as she could only carry one shot per-
Sling!
Pyrrha jerked her body just in time to miss the giant massive blade crash down right next to her. The concrete ground broke apart from the force as Yang lunges out from the smoke.
She reeled back a glowing yellow fist and slammed it forward at Pyrrha who raised her shield to block.
Pyrrha was sent skidding across the arena as the force nearly made her knee buck.
She looked up to see Yang was hugging in exhaustion, her body was flickering with Aura. Bits of her hair were slightly singed as her face was black with soot.
Pyrrha glances up at the scoreboard to see her Aura was in the yellow, while Yang's was in the low orange nearing red.
"Give it up Yang. You're beaten." Pyrrha raises her guard.
"Shut... up..." Yang stands up as she rolls her shoulder. Damn that fucking cannon hurt! If her Semblance wasn't active when she got hit, she was sure she would have blacked out right then and there.
Yang walked towards her massive sword, yanking it out of the concrete with ease. She gave it a test swing before going into a stance.
"I stop when I pass out or when I win. Got it?" She furrows her brow.
Pyrrha only stares before grinning.
"Of course."
BZZZZZZZZZT!!!
The scoreboard buzzed out signifying the match was now over.
The two girls looked up in confusion as they looked at the board. Yang's Aura has reached the red while Pyrrha's was still in the yellow.
"What?! No! I did not lose!" Yang shouts in disbelief.
"Pay attention students. You must learn to use your Aura wisely. If you use it all at once to heal your wounds, then you'll have none left to defend against attacks." Glynda's voice was heard.
"Perhaps if you paid more attention to class, you wouldn't have lost so early despite being able to fight still, Miss Xiao Long."
Yang could growl as she couldn't get to beat Pyrrha. She could still fight! She was a much better skilled swords woman than Nikos ever would be! She could beat Pyrrha even with one arm cut off!
"I wpuld have beat you anyways blondie. Better luck next time~." Pyrrha voice was filled with mirth as she walked away
Yang could only growl in anger as the bell rang.

The group were now in the cafeteria, eating their shorty school lunches with grade D meat probably.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Ruby appeared, feeling much better.
"Oh Ruby! Are you feeling better?" Pyrrha perked up at the Reaper's appearance.
"Yep! I sure am, sorry to be a burden and make you take notes for me Pyr." The rose day next to the spartan.
"Where were you?" Jaune asked, drinking his chocolate milk.
"Oh, well I was in the forge, just fixing up my weapons and stuff. I was feeling a little better after the morning, so I decided to just do whateve."
She explained.
"Ah, well I'm glad you're feeling better. God knows the last time you were sick." Jaune chuckled, remembering how Ruby had to call in sick leaving Jaune and Velvet alone to watch over the shop.
"Speaking of shop, I need to go pick up some stuff from the cafe. I need help to carry some equipment back to Beacon. Anyone wanna help?" She asked, casting a glance at Jaune. "I'll need someone big and strong to help me carry all my stuff." She glances at Yang who perked up.
"I'll help!" Yang stood up, catching a few students attention. "I Uh, ahem. I can help ya carry some stuff Rubes. If, uh, if ya let's me."
Ruby hummed in thought, tapping her finger on her chin. To be honest, she did have a lot of stuff, and they were all in the basement. Pyrrha would go regardless of Ruby asking, she would be great help. Jaune was scrawny, and well he knew how much shit she had in the basement.
Let's see who else could she con into coming to help her.
"Velvet!" Ruby happily cheered as she caught sight of the Faunus passing by.
The bunny girl jumped in surprise as she turned to Ruby. She blinked in confusion before smiling.
"Hey Velvet, wanna help me carry my stuff from the cafe to Beacon?" Ruby smiled, Velvet would help her.
The Faunus blinked at the request, processing the information. When she did, her eyes widened in panic before running off.
Ruby sucked her teeth, cursing under her breath. Damn, she should have known Velvet knew how much shit she had too. Oh well, Jaune, Pyrrha, and Xiao Long will do.
"Let's go Jaune." She gestured to the blond.
"Wha-?! Me? I don't wanna help you! Do you k is how much stuff you have down in your basement?" Jaune did not want back pain at such an early age. He liked his youth thank you very much.
"Yeah, well I'm still your boss, and as you employer I am ordering you to come help me get my crap." Ruby gestured to Pyrrha to grab the boy.
"Nope! You don't even have a business anymore, so therefore you aren't my- Gah! Pyrrha?! What are you doing?! Put me down!" Jaune uselessly flailed as the spartan grabbed the boy like a sack of potatoes.

After school had ended, the group of four had headed into Vale. The three girls (and boy) walked down the side walk of Vale, enjoying the air.
"You know, I had forgotten how the city of Vale was like." Pyrrha smiled as she looked around. All her traveling had made her forgot the certain beauty Vale had.
"Really? I don't see how special Vale is. It hasn't changed much really." Jaune looked around, the city was sorta the same to him considering how he'd live here most of his life.
"There's a certain charm to Vale, Jaune." Ruby are a muffin she had gotten from somewhere. "Mistrals has a scenic view what with all the mountains. Atlas I heard is pretty dull with all snow and ice, but has a floating city, and Vacuo is just... Vacuo."
"But Vale has a nice city feel to it, the seasons are pretty simple. And with the island of Patch off the coast, it's a nice place to settle down if you'd want."
"Oh yeah! Patch is pretty good! It's really great when Fall starts cause the leave turn a nice shade of orange and the wind feels so good. I can see why my dads live there."
"Your dads?" Jaune perked up.
"Hm? Oh, yeah well, I have two dads. Got a problem with that?" Yang perked a brow.
"Wha? Oh, no no no! I don't have a problem! In fact my sister is married with another woman, so it's no problem!" Jaune laughed awkwardly.
Yang face held a serious expression before she snorted out laughing.
"I'm just messing with ya vomit boy!" She playfull pushes the boy on the shoulder, which sent him stumbling back.
"Ahaha, Yeah. So who are your dads? Like are you adopted? Or..."
"Nah, my real dad is Taiyang Xiao Long, and my other is Qrow Branwen. They're both Huntsmen, but my dad, Taiyang, teaches at Signal." She explained.
"Oh cool! I didn't know that. Pretty neat right Ruby?" Jaune turns to the redhead, but is set off by her neutral expression.
"I suppose it's quite alright." Ruby answers, her tone dead. Her eyes turn to Yang, who is also set off. "So they got married, hm? I suppose that's good for them." She walked ahead, leaving the two blondes.
"Uh, um..." Jaune didn't know how to react. He knew there was some bad blood between Ruby and her family, but... Yang didn't seem to be a bad person really.
Speaking of the brawler...
"Ruby!" She chased after the Reaper. The redhead stopped as Yang stepped in front of her. "Listen Ruby..." She took a breath. "I... I know, we hurt-"
"Shut it." Ruby cut her off, her eyes were dead, but they were annoyed. "I don't want to hear it."
She walked past the blonde, Pyrrha following after her. As she passed by the girl, Pyrrha showed off a smug smile at the blonde before walking after Ruby.
Yang just sucked her teeth, the area around her getting warmer.
"Man, it's pretty warm today isn't Yang?" Jaune wipes off some sweat from his brow. The weather forecast said it was going to be rather cool, the clouds were even out, but it felt like it was 90 degrees. (That's like 32 degrees in Celsius if ya live in, like literally everywhere but America.)
Yang snapped to the blond boy, her eyes flashing red.
"You know what? Since it's pretty hot, why don't we go get some ice cream, you know?" Jaune laugh nervously as he ran ahead.
"Hey Ruby! Why don't we, uh, get some ice cream? The shops down this street, and well, you know how much stuff you have." Jaune paled at the thought of all the equipment, weaponry, tools, and ammunition Ruby had hoarded underneath the shop.
"Hm, sure why not? You're paying though." Ruby smiled as she entered the ice cream shop, Pyrrha and Yang following.
'I'm sorry wallet... please... please forgive me...' An aura or sadness looked around the boy as he could only sense poverty for his wallet.
~ ~ ~
There were very few people inside the shop, some were eating their frozen treat with a partner, others were with friends chatting away, and some were waiting in line.
The bell rang, signifying someone had entered. Ruby, Pyrrha, Yang (And Jaune) all stood in the shop. It was a nice little shop, had an old timey feeling to it. Like a diner in 1940 America.
"Hello! How can I help you today?" The cashier smiled sweetly.
"Hmmm, I think I'll have... Neapolitan." Ruby answered. "What about you Pyrrha?"
"Hm, strawberry sounds nice. Two scoops, please."
"I'll get vanilla," Jaune asked. "what do you want Yang?"
The blonde tapped her foot for a moment, staring at the menu.
"I wanna her butter pecan, but I'll go with chocolate."
"Okay, Neapolitan is ready, just give me a moment for the others." The cashier have Ruby her ice cream before preparing the others.
"Cool, imma just wait over there."
"I thought it was prenounced 'peh caun'?" Jaune asked.
"No it's 'pee can', not 'PeH cAuN.'" Yang corrected.
"Really?"
"No," Pyrrha interjected, "it is 'peh caun."
"Pyrrha, your from like Mistral right? I was born and raised in Vale, so I know what I'm talking about." Yang put her hands on her hips. "It's 'pee can.'
Pyrrha walls up to the blonde.
"'Peh caun.'"
Yang stepped forward.
"'Pee can.'"
The two dominatrix stated each other down, Jaune being the unlucky fool caught in between them. Suddenly the two turned to the boy, both wanting his support on their opinions.
"Well Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.
"Who's right?" Yang followed.
"Dah, um, uhhhh," Why him?
"I got a three scoop butter 'peck an!'" The cashier declared holding up the order. The two girl jerked their gaze to the cashier who had unknowingly been caught in the argument.
Ruby just shook her head at the two girl's shenanigans. Honestly, who would even argue over something that dumb. Didn't they know it was pronounced 'peh khan?'
Ruby turned around to sit at a table but immediately ran into someone. She nearly dropped her ice cream, the three scoops leaning dangerously, but she managed to save them.
She let out a huff until a rough tap on her shoulder caught her attention.
She turned around, looking up, but saw no one. She looked around, until a pair of gloves hands snapped at her.
She looked down to see a well irritated girl? Woman? Ruby didn't know if the female in front of her was a child or an adult due to their short stature.
The... female, was a short well dressed person. Their hair was split into two color, pink and brown, as well as her eyes, which changed with each blink.
She was leaning on a parasol, tapping her foot impatiently.
"Uh, can I help you?" Ruby perked a brow at the gir who was dress very similarly to her ice cream.
The girl, let's go with that, puffed her cheeks pouting before pointing down at her ice cream which was splayed across the floor.
"Ah, sorry about." Ruby pursed her lips. Crap, she wanted to get another ice cream for the girl, but she wasn't even paying. Regardless of whether Jaune would pay or not, he would, she doubted his wallet had anything left.
"Hm, you like Neapolitan?" She offered her ice cream. She hadn't touched it, and she wasn't too hungry though.
The girl just deadpanned at the Reaper, as if the answer was obvious. I mean, look at how she was dressed.
Ruby decided to mess with the ice cream themed girl. "Alright, if you don't want it-"
The girl snatched the ice cream from her, puffing her cheeks. She took a small lick of the frozen treat, as if expecting it to be spiked.
'Cute...' Ruby smiled at the young girl's expression. It always felt nice to treat others with kindness. Why didn't she do this more often?
"Ruby! Tell Pyrrha she doesn't know what she's talking about!" Yang loud voice was heard followed by sounds of yelling and grunting.
Oh right.
Ruby sighed before smiling at the young girl.
"Names Ruby, What's yours?" She introduced.
The girl did a series of hand signs, her wide eyes staring up at the redhead almost expectantly.
Ruby tilted her head, before letting out a giggle.
"Neo, like the ice cream? How cute." Ruby signed back, earning a surprised expression from the young girl.
Ruby smiled before petting Neonon her head.
"Stay out of trouble Neopolitan." Ruby walked out of the shop,
"Jaune is correct, now let's go." Ruby walked out of the shop, leaving the two girls. They blinked at Ruby's answer before turning to the blond, only to see he had chased after the redhead. The two soon followed.
Neo watched as the four kids ran off, all while licking her ice cream nonchalantly.
~ ~ ~
The four had finally reached to Ruby's cafe. There was still police tape wrapped around the entrance, warning civilians to stay away.
"Sheesh, this is your shop? Looks like shit." Yang commented, noting the giant gash on the front of the building.
"Yes, this is the building where I worked my ass off to making a living Xiao Long." Ruby softly flares at the blonde before walking in.
"Oh damn, I didn't think the damage was this bad." Jaune looked around the restaurant, the tables and broken furniture still remained where they were on that night.
"Yeah, the bad part is, I don't have insurance since I'm not eighteen." Ruby kicks over a table, seeing her homemade flashlight, fork, knife, gun. Haphazardly tapes together.
Ruby hummed, She removed the magazine noting how there was still a bullet in the chamber. She aimed at the floor before firing, spooking everyone.
"What the hell?!" Yang had her fist raised, Ember Celiac armed and ready.
"What was that for?!" Jaune had Croceas Mors out, his shield ready.
"Are we under attack?" Pyrrha had Miló in its Xiphos form.
"Hm? Oh, no. I just wanted to see if this still worked." Ruby removed the mods on her Glock.
"What-? Why would you do that?! Warn us next time at least!" Yang growled.
"Oh don't be such a baby." Ruby chastised. She walked over to the counter before opening the refrigerator. "You guys want anything?"
"Hm? Oh, sure. I think I left a drink in there, can ya toss it too me Rubes?" Jaune walked over to the redhead, but fell.
"Gah!!!" Jaune flailed around as he fell down the giant hole in the floor, but a hand grabbed his hoodie.
"Gotcha! Watch where your going vomit boy." Yang yanked back blond and looked down the giant hole in the floor.
"Oh yeah! Be careful of the giant hole in the ground! That damn assassin didn't really hold back." Ruby mentioned tossing Jaune his drink
"Wait? What?!" Jaune blinked trying to understand. He knew the giant slash was the assassin's doing, but the hole? Wha- how?
"Oh yeah, um... the assassin slammed me through the floor and into my basement." Ruby admitted, pursing her lips.
"What?" Jaune could only squawk out.
"I KILL THAT BASTARD!!!" Pyrrha screamed out. How dare this... this assassin try and kill her Ruby?! When she finds this fucker she gonna kill them like the damn pyg they are.
"Pyrrha, you're stronger than me, but this bastard was a tough son of a bitch. And, well, I don't need you trying to avenge me especially when I'm not dead." Ruby twisted her back earning that satisfying yet unholy god awful, pop in her spine.
"Now, come on kiddos, we got work to do!" Ruby smiled as she hopped down the hole.
"Wha- Ruby?!" Jaune leaned over but the wooden board broke apart. He yelled as he fell down with a thud, his Aura taking the blow.
"Make way!" Yang hopped down, nearly crushing the blond knight.
Pyrrha followed silently cursing as she failed to stomp the blonde.
Jaune groaned as he popped his damaged back. He looked around to see several guns and melee weapon mounted on the walls. There were a varity of weapon, rifles, swords, bazookas, maces, lances, halberds, a fricking minigun, hand guns, revolvers, shotguns, etc, etc. and those were just the simple weapons.
"Holy mother of Oum! What the fuck is this? An armory?!" Yang eyes were wide. Even Signil's forgry didn't have this much shit! This is enough to arm a small army!
"Monty Oum, Ruby! I knew you liked weapons, but this is too much! What are you? Gonna fuckin' fight Vale?" Jaune grimaced, there were NOT this many weapons the last time he was down here. Then again, that was several years ago.
"Pfft! There is no such thing as too many weapons! Tell em' Pyrrha!" Ruby beckons to her trusty pal who would never betray her.
"Ruby, I love you, but this is too many weapons." Pyrrha fucking backstabbed her.
"What-?! What are you saying?!" Ruby's taken back by the sudden and brutal honesty of Pyrrha.
"That you have too many weapons." Pyrrha repeated. "No normal human being would have this many weapons as a hobby (America you don't exist). Unless you were actively seeking and buying weapons, there is no reason to possess this many weapons. It would prove more dangerous than beneficial, and could create problems in the future. The fact that no one has broken in and stolen you armory is a miracle itself." Pyrrha bluntly stated.
Ruby just felt like a raisin but with meat with every word making her feel drier and drier. Like cow raisin.
"OKAY! Okay! I MAY have a teeny tiny problem, but I'll just do the same thing I did to cope with the emotional and mental scaring the Xiao Longs did to me." Ruby smiled as if her plan was foolproof.
The group were taken back slightly by how casually Ruby just mentioned her possible scarred childhood she had. The spartan and the knight glanced over to the blonde who really didn't know how to react.
"And, um, how do you intend to Uh, to uh, do that?" Yang cautiously asked, ignoring the questioning stare from Jaune and the burning glare from Pyrrha. She was getting good at ignoring the latter.
"I'll just ignore the problem until it goes away." She smiled.
"That's definitely not going to work." Yang deadpanned.
"Tch, and what would you know?" Ruby crosses her arms.
Yang opens her mouth to say something but bite back. She needed to stay calm. There was no point in trying to get heated. She supposed now was the only time to do it.
"Ruby, look..." she took a breath. First she needed to get the others away. "Let's just get all your stuff and move em' ok?"
"Yes... lets do that..." Ruby pursed her lip. She expected the blonde to start ranting about something, but... well, let's see.
"Okay, right." Ruby got her boss voice on. "Right, so the weapons are mostly secondary, as I want to mainly focus on gathering the blueprints. I can always create more, but the blueprints are what I really want." She points to the knight.
"Jaune, I want you to go up to the attic and see if you can find some crates. We'll need them so that we can store the weapons, I'll see about renting a truck for use, but I really wanna put these away for now."
"Right. Got it." Jaune ran off to do his errand.
"Pyrrha, I want you to help gather these weapons together. I trust you, and you know what weapons are what, so you will be responsible for organizing on storing them."
"Got it Ruby." Pyrrha smile determined. Shhh, no references.
"And what about me?" Yang smiles, wanting to helpful.
"Ah yes, Xiao Long." Ruby clapped her hands. "You have an very important job."
"Right! You asked for the guns and I brought them!" The blonde flexes her arms.
~ ~ ~
"Tch, stupid Ruby making me clean the upper area." She grumbled.
The blonde was currently sweeping the broken glass and trash from the fight. Why did she have clean up duty?!
"So that we have a clear path to move all the stuff!" Ruby shouted through the hole in the floor.
Yang just sucked her teeth. "I don't see why I have to do this? I'm strong! I'm pretty sure Jaune isn't gonna be able to pick those crates up like nothing."
"She's right you know!" His voice was heard as he slowly walked forward. He held a rather big crate in his hands, and he was clearly struggling to move.
"Jaune needs to build strength and endurance. Moving those crates will held him." Ruby explained. "Also, USE YOU FUCKING LEGS JAUNE! YA GONNA FUCK UP YA BACK!!" She yells as Jaune drops the box on his feet.
He lets out a shout of pain as he stumbles back only to trip over chair and hit his head on a table.
"Oh crap!" The brawler rushes over to the blond knight to see if he was alive. She let out a sigh of relief to see he was still breathing, he was just knocked out.
"What happened?!" Ruby's tells we're heard.
"Jaune our cold!" Yang answered.
There was a moment of silence followed by some cursing in what suspiciously sounded like Mistralian.
"Okay, just ugh, take him and lay him on my bed up stairs! And since you're so strong, you move the boxes! Got it?!" Ruby ordered.
Yang smiled, all right! Show Ruby how responsible and reliable she is? Perfect chance!
"You got it Rubes!" Yang she picks up the boy and walks up the stairs.
"And stay out of my shit!" Ruby adds.
Yang laid down sleeping beauty on what was presumably Ruby's bed. Jaune seemed to be really out cold, and just laid there.
"Okay, time to pull out my guns." Yang flexed her arms, her muscles popping out.
The brawler made her way down stair but took a moment to pause. She took a scan of what was Ruby's room before Beacon. While she had most of her stuff with her she had still left some stuff here.
Yang walked over to a dresser and picked up a picture frame. There was that same photo again, the one with Ruby, Jaune, Pyrrha, the silver haired boy, and the horned, red haired Faunus.
She wondered who they were.
"Yang!" Ruby's voice was heard.
"Oh right! Coming!"
~ ~ ~
It had taken some time, but the group had finally stored most of Ruby's obsession-, I mean, weapons into the crates along with Ruby's equipment and Dust she experimented on.
"Whew! I'm beat!" Yang hopped onto one of the crates.
"Hm, feel quite a burn there." Pyrrha rolled her shoulder. The all had helped carried the crates to the first floor. There were a few moments where everything could have gone to shit.
Mainly the Dust almost exploding.
"Ugh, my head..." Jaune's voice wa shears as he walked down the stairs.
"Hey sleeping beauty." Ruby greeted teasingly.
"What happened?" Why did his head hurt so much?
"You were retarded and knocked yourself out." Yang commented.
"Oh. Oh! OH! Ruby, I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean to skip out of work even if it is back breaking!" Jaune fell to his knees, pleading with Ruby.
"Sheesh Jaune, it's not that big a deal. Tell you what, why don't we all get ice cream again, this time I'll pay."
"Yay! Ice cream!" Everyone cheered. Ruby chuckled, she supposed they deserved it.
As everyone began leaving Ruby was pulled back. She looked back to see Yang holding her back.
"You need something?" Ruby moved her arm away.
"Um, yeah." Yang took a breath. "Can we talk... privately?" Yang gave a small smile.
Ruby blinked at the request before turning back to the other two. "Hey Jaune, since you slept help Pyrrha load up the crates."
"Hm? Oh, right. Come on Pyrrha." Jaune walked out.
Pyrrha paused for a moment, worry in her eyes before she left.
"So," the redhead hopped onto a table. "What do you want to talk about?"
Yang pursed her lips. Guess there was no point in dallying.
"I know you killed Cardin and his team."
"I know." Ruby nodded.
"I know that- wait? You do?" how did Ruby know?
"I'm more perceptive than you're led to believe Xiao Long." Technically The Narrator told her, but no one knew about that.
Yang opened her mouth to say something, but she didn't know how to proceed.
"But... why? Why did you kill him?"
"He was a threat, he tired to rape Pyrrha and during our fight he tried to rape me as well." Ruby kept her expression neutral, but she was trying so desperately to not just run away. She was fidgetting rather nervously, her fingers tapping quickly.
"WHAT?! Then why didn't you tell anyone?! Why didn't you report him? Not a lot of people like him, and it would have been easy to arrest him!" Yang was furious, if that bastard was alive she'd kill him right now!
"Because he..." she could tell the brawler Pyrrha wa sbeing blackmailed for murder. "We never intended to kill them," Ruby didn't know how to react, she could have cared less about them to be honest. Did that make her a sociopath? "Things simply got out of hand. The plan was to beat them into submission, as a way to tell them to fuck off."
"So what happened?" Yang asked. "What happened that made you kill them."
"For Pyrrha, I can only assume that she had beaten Dove, rendering him unconscious." Ruby speculated. "All of the negativity and my brand must have lured the Grimm. Considering how we barely escaped what was a level one Grimm threat, the remnants of team CRDL(Cardinal) miust have succumbed to the Grimm."
"Did you try to save them? I know, that you didn't fight them all on your own, Pyrrha and Blake helped you out too. Why did they help you? Pyrrha I can get, I mean she practically your dog."
Ruby's eyes narrowed down at the insult at the spartan but let it slide. The two never really got along.
"I just... ever since you left, well, I don't know how you've been doing. Its been a few weeks already and I still don't know anything." Yang let out a sigh. "I mean, Pyrrha acts like a psychopath, I mean she like obsessed with ya-"
"That's enough, Xiao Long." Ruby hopped off the table. "I can understand you and Pyrrha not getting along, but not while I'm here and she's not." she walked up to the blonde.
"Okay, yeah, thats a low blow, I'll admit. But still, I worried for you, Pyrrha's not right in the head! She a bad influence!"
Ruby just grimaced at the words pouring out of the blonde's mouth.
"And what would you know about Pyrrha! You weren't there! You weren't by my side for the past fucking decade! Hell, you and those damnable 'fathers' of yours! How does it feel to know your dad is fucking you uncle! First your mom, my mom, and now your uncle! Sounds like a fucking whore! I wonder if you learned anything from them?"
"What did you say?" Yang sneered, her eyes turning red. "You don't know anything!"
"Neither do you! You keep claiming you want to reconcile and saying you'ver changed, but you didn't even know I was at Beacon! You didn't want to do anything with me until you knew about me!" The argument between the two began to grow heated.
"Okay! Yeah! I doidn't know about your existence, but I'm trying! But you not giving me a damn chance! you keep turning me away, treating me like I'm just a pain in your ass!"
"Because you are!" Ruby shouted, her hair was growing slightly more red. "You just as insufferable as those damned Schnees!" Ruby growled.
"What did you say?" Yang leaned back, hoping she heard incorrectly. No one, and she meant no one talked shit about Weiss.
"You fucking heard me, you shithead." Ruby pushed Yang, despite it not moving her.
"Don't do that." Yang grounded out.
Ruby just narrowed her eyes before tapping Yang on the shoulder. "What? you're going to beat me? Just like when we were young? On that night?" Ruby shoved back Yang, applying more force.
"Stop. It." Yang was trying to resist, but Ruby's provoking was not helping.
Ruby went to shove her again, but realized she wa sbeing an asshole. She just sucked her teeth, before walking away.
"Damn bimbo blonde, no better than those Schnees." she mumbled. That was what set off the brawler.
"RAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Yang lunged forward. Ruby had little time to turn as she received an fist to the face.
The force sent Ruby stumbling back and down the hole in the floor. She fell with a thud, wood, stone, and debris falling down on her. Wood and concrete fell down as Ruby groaned. There was a thud as Yang hopped down the hole. There Ruby laid there in a pile of rubble, groaning in pain.
"I know I fucked up Ruby, and I know you probably won't forgive me, but I will not stand by and let you talk shit about Weiss. I have friends I care about too. One's that stayed by my side." Yang walked forward.
"Ugh, no, no, no, no..." Ruby mumbled.
"RUBY?! YANG?!" Jaune's voice was heard outside. "What happened?!"
"I told you to stop, and yet you still kept pissin' me off. You would not listen." Yang reached to grab Ruby. She really didn't want to hurt her, but...
"Fine, my turn." Ruby shook her head before launching herself at the blonde with her semblance. Yang had no time to react as a fist crashed right into her.
Yang's body soared right up the hole of the floor and crashed through the second floor, attic, and roof. Her body promptly fell onto the roof of the building. Yang groaned as she shook her head. Holy hell! What the hell happened?!
Yang's instincts shouted at her to move to which she did. Ruby jumped up through the four holes of the building and stomped where the brawler laid.
"Come on then. You wanted a tougher opponent, well here I am." Ruby sneered as she raised her fists.
"I don't want to fight you Ruby!" Yang shouted, but she raised her hands anyway.
"Really? Those punches say otherwise." Yang just growled before sending a slug shot at the reaper.
But the bullet was a snail as Ruby dashed to the side, the shot missing her by a mile.
Not wasting any momentum, Ruby dashed at Yang, and slammed into her.
The force sent the blonde off the building and fall flat onto the concrete ground.
"What the-?! Yang?!" Jaune pulled out his sword and shield. Were they under attack? "What's going on?!"
"Xiao Long!" Ruby shouted as she lep off the building. Yang rolled to the side dodging Ruby who slammed down on the ground, the stone cracking.
"Ruby?!" Pyrrha shouted, she had Miló and Akoúo̱ out.
"Stay out of this!" Ruby shouted before launching herself at Yang.
The bralwer raised her arms and blocked the punch, but the force sent her skidding back.
Oum damn! How the hell was Ruby so-
Ruby shot forward once again, but Yang was prepared. She raised her arms, her gauntlets taking the blow. A wave of force blew out as Yang parried Ruby's fists.
Time slowed as the two girl's arms were blown back from the force. Yang could see Ruby's eyes widen in surprise before they narrowed.
Ruby jerked her head forward, slamming her forehead right into Yang's.
The brawler stumbled back. Damn! Why does she hit so much harder?!
Yang looked up to see Ruby's eyes were glowing blue with an energy. An energy she knew all too well.
Karma.
Ruby took a stance similar to martial arts before she launched forward.
Yang rolled to the side, dodging the redhead, but Ruby still rushed forward before leaping up onto the side of a building. There was a beat before she launched herself at yang with greater speed.
Yang rolled to the side, knowing she wouldn't be able to block or parry.
Ruby flew past the blonde and into the shop. She rolled slowing her speed, but leaped away dodging Yang's stomp.
"Raaaaaah!!!" Ruby screamed as she attacked Yang.
The two exchanged blows, the force blowing out, shaking furniture and glass. But Ruby's speed was simply to grew for the brawler to follow.
Ya g threw a punch, only for it to be parried and followed with an open palm punch to the face. But Ruby didn't stop there as she delivered more punches, sending the blonde back.
"Ruby!" Jaune And Pyrrha shouted.
"Stay out of this! This is between me and her-" Ruby was cut off as Yang punches Ruby right in the gut, making her dry hack.
Yang threw another punch, Ember Celica arming itself, but Ruby jerked her head, dodging the gauntlet.
A screaming flare shot out and crashed into the ceiling. It exploded sending bits and pieces of debris flying out.
Jaune raised his shield to defend, but a hand grabbed his hoodie and yanked him out. He fell on his back to see Pyrrha staring at the building, gunshots and the blowing of force being made.
Jaune coughed out some dust. "Pyrrha? What-, what do we do?" He looked to his friend hoping for some answer from the spartan.
Pyrrha only stayed silent as she watched the building shake from the force.
~ ~ ~
Yang yelled as she threw a punch at the redhead, only to miss and create a hole in a wall.
Ruby lunges at her, and delivered a quick succession of punches at Yang's gut, but the blonde merely yanked the hits as she head butt the redhead.
Ruby stumbled back, holding her nose, before she was grabbed and throw into the second floor.
She cursed before rolling away, gunshot firing through the floor. Creaking and growing was heard as the floor began losing stability.
"Damn you!" Ruby kept through the hole and prepared to stomp down the floor on the blonde, but all she saw was a golden glow before yang launched herself up.
"What the-" Ruby received a fist right to the face as the floor was obliterated into debris.
Ruby's body flew out of a wall and crashed into the parking lot on the side. Her body lightly bounced before rolling to a stop.
Ruby spat out a blob of blood, her Aura flickering. Damn she used too much of her Aura too quickly!
The girl stood up, her ripped and tattered cloak already repairing itself. That was really useful.
Ruby looked up to see she had been thrown through a wall. She pulls see Xiao Long glowing her golden light as her Semblance has activated. Seem things are getting a bit more difficult then.
Looks like she would have to-
Boom!
With out warning Yang had launched two screaming flares at the redhead. They homes in on the Reaper, which Ruby dodge skillfully, but they were only a distraction as Yang's form was right on top of her.
"Damn you!" Ruby shouted as Yang's fist slammed down on her.
BOOM!
A deafening boom was heard as the brawler fist met the ground. Dust and dirt had clouded the area, as a large crater had formed.
Then something flashed, and Yang dropped to the ground, dodging a red projectile.
The blur span around as it revealed it self as Ruby.
Everyone's eyes widened in shock. How did she escaped the blow?! Even if she wasn't hit directly, the force should have still gotten her!
"How?! How'd you dodge?!" The blonde shouted, demanding an explanation.
Ruby just remained silent as she pulled out her revolver and dagger. Her eyes glowed with a blue flame.
Yang's eyes widened as she looked around, there was a giant transparent blue bubble engulfing the two. It was big enough to cover the parking lot area, and right at the center was Ruby.
"You..." Yang turned to the redhead only to see her throw the dagger.
Ruby dashes after her thrown weapon, right behind it and leaps into a round house kick, but she was still a distance from the blonde.
Yang could only watch in confusion as she was several meters from Ruby before she seemingly teleported right in front of her.
Ruby's foot crashed into Yang's head as she smashed into the ground. Ruby flipped around mid air and slammed down her foot again, this time her heel kicking the blonde.
But Ruby didn't stop there as she began wailing on the brawler, her fists punching with much greater force than before.
'Shit! What the hell happened?!' Yang monologues internally as she took on the blows from her sister. 'That's Karma, and I know it! Damn it what did Qrow say about the blue colored one?!'
The blonde's memories failed her as the pain was too great to remember anything.
'Rrrrr it doesn't matter!' Yang body once again glowed hotter.
Ruby leaped high into the air, and prepared to stomp down on ten blonde only to see her glowing even greater.
Ka-boom!
Both of Yang's fist rose up and slammed into the redhead, but she had managed to create a shielding as she was sent flying back.
"Ruby!" Yang charged at the redhead. Ember Celica then began transforming, the metal extended onto Yang's hands, armoring her flesh.
Ruby could only get into a stance, her Aura was really low, so she would have to rely on her Karma.
She had no pride.
Her dagger then appeared in her open hand before she charged the blonde. She threw the dagger, and instead of Ruby seemingly teleporting, the dagger and Yang had both switched places. A perfect technique to disorientate the enemy.
But Yang was apparently prepared.
Ruby had leaped to preform a flying kick just as Yang appeared, butbthe blonde dodges the kick and grabbed Ruby.
She flipped her around and slammed her into the concrete ground. She raised a fist to punch her but only punched ground as she was teleport a few meters away.
"Wha-?" Yang was then teleported again and received a roundhouse kick to the gut before getting an elbow to the face.
Yang was sent stumbling back a bit, but her Semblance dulled the pain, enough so anything thrown at her was generally numbed.
Yang went to grabbed Ruby, but was teleported away, pissing her off more.
Ruby then dashed at Yang with her Semblance before skirting to an abrupt stop. Her momentum carried her as rocks, clumps of dirt, and concrete flew up like confetti.
The blue bubble appeared once again as Yang was teleported nd revived a punch right to the face.
The brawler just grit her teeth and splashed out, but was teleported again, getting kicked in the back of the knee.
She kneeled down forcibly, before getting a knee to the face.
Teleported once more and she got a flying kick to the back.
Yang could only sit ther and tank the hits as she was assault not from all direction, but was just led to the attacks the red head delivered.
"Enough!" Yang shouted out in anger as a blast of heat sent everything back.
This time Yang eyes burned red not with Aura...
But with Red Karma.
Ruby looked up to see the blonde's eyes burning with Karma. In fact when Yang launched herself at her she had no time to react as she got a fist imbued with Red Karma.
The fist easily bypassed and shattered what little Aura Ruby had as she was sent flying into the air. Spit and blood was coughed out as Ruby flew above the rooftops of the buildings and apartments.
"OUM DAMN YOUUUUUU!!!!!!!!" The bubble flew out again, but was then shrunk down around Ruby's foot as she increased the gravity on herself.
Yang looked up to see Ruby was shooting back down with greater speed and was preparing to attack.
"RUBY!!!" Ember Celica transformed back into bracelets as her skin glowed red with Karma. The magical energy seeped deeper into the flesh and bone of the brawler strengthening the girl's body.
Yang also concentrated her Semblance's energy into her legs and launched right up into the redhead. Red energy swirling around her fists.
Jaune and Pyrrha could only watch in fascination as the red and blue energy flew towards each other. A few civilians and police officers that had shown up looked up in awe as the two force clashes against one another.
Red vs Blue
BOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!
A deafening boom was heard as a massive explosion of red, blue, and purple flew out like fireworks. The force of the two flew out, setting off cars and animals, and shattering nearby windows.
The spectators all ran for cover as the force washed over them, but they all simply fell unconscious as the Karma rushed over them like a wave.
Very few managed to survive the wave of overwhelming willpower. Those being Jaune and Pyrrha.
The spartan stood up once she deemed the force gone, even so she still had her shield out. The champion looked over to her friend to see he was barely standing. Sweat stuck to him and he was panting for air, on the verge of passing out.
"Jaune, are you okay?" She helped up the boy.
"Y-Yeah... I'm... actually I feel like I'm blacking out..." he mumbled out as he leaned onto Pyrrha for support.
"Well snap out of it, we have to find Ruby." The two walked forward. There was a cloud of dust still lingering around, lowering visibility.
The spartan called out the redhead's name, hoping to hear a response. Jaune has mostly recovered, but was still breathing a bit deeply.
"RUBY! YANG!" The blond shouted. They needed to find the two and get the hell out of dodge. He didn't think the police department would take it too kindly that the two sisters cause so much damage.
And what was that overwhelming pressure? It felt like he couldn't breath.
There was the sound of struggling heard and the two rushed over.
There the two sister were still fighting on another, but they looked like shit.
Ruby was limping, the only reason she was standing was just because of her stubbornness and willpower. Yang's hands were red from blood and they seemed to be missing the top layer of skin.
"Damn you Xiao Long!" Ruby delivered a punch to the blonde's face, making her stumble back.
"Fuck you Ruby!" The redhead tried to leap into the brawler, but Yang simply kicked her away, winding her.
"Ruby! Yang!" The two huntsmen rush over to the two.
The sister get up and rush at each other, but are held back by Pyrrha and Jaune.
"Damn it! Let me go!" Ruby struggled to get out of the knight's hold. Even tired and beaten, she still managed to nearly get out of the boy's grasp.
"Damn it Ruby! Calm down!"
"Let me go you fucking psychopath!" Yang struggled to move, but Pyrrha had tackled the girl and pinned her down.
"There's no point in trying to resist, stop." The champion stated firmly, applying more pressure to the blonde. "If you keep resisting, I'll have no choice but to dislocate your shoulder."
"Go the hell you damn dog!" That was all Yang had to say before a terrible crack was heard. She took a gasp before screaming out in pain.
"Pyrrha!" Ruby shouted. "Stop! Don't hurt her!"
Confusion was visible on the spartan's face. "But why?! You two are trying to kill each other!"
"Exactly! I'm gonna fucking kill her!" Ruby stomped on Jaune's foot making him let go in pain. Ruby rushed at the blonde, and kicked her right in the face.
"Gah! You fucking piece of shit!" Yang shouted.
Ruby made to kick again, but was tackled down by Pyrrha.
"Pyrrha! What the hell?! Let me go!" The redhead struggled to escape the larger redhead's grasp, but she was far too weak and exhausted. She could feel another migraine coming in and she could only assume how red her hair was.
"No." Pyrrha answered firmly.
"I said let me go-!"
"No!" Pyrrha flipped the girl around so now she facing the spartan. "I said no. No means no." The champion stared down at the Reaper with firm eyes, her emeralds staring down at the younger girl.
"Please... you just hurting yourself." There was a hint of plea to the amazon's voice, and somewhere in her eyes, there was sympathy.
Ruby stares for a moment before letting her body go slack, signifying she was no longer resisting. Pyrrha got off the redhead, and helped her up.
Ruby then turned to the brawler, where Jaune was trying to help her. She was how Yang was hurt, her arms still red from blood and skin.
. . .
Ruby then began walking towards the blonde, ignoring Pyrrha's pleas.
The two blondes noted Ruby's approach. Jaune stood in front of Yang, trying to supposedly defend her, but he was merely shoved away by the brawler herself.
Ruby stopped right in front of Yang, her short stature never proving a problem as her silver orbs stared into Yang's lilac.
The two friends worried the sister would fight again, and they both tensed as Ruby raised a hand.
"Neither of us were fighting at full capacity, nor did we both have all our weapons." Ruby explained.
"So? I could still kick you ass." Yang retorted.
"You can try, but..." ruby rushed her hand forward, in what was presumably a punch.
Pyrrha and Jaune rushed forward to stop the two from fight, but pauses as Yang grabbed Ruby's hand.
"When?" Yang asked, confusing the two.
"This coming Sunday." Ruby answered.
Yang narrowed her eyes, before Ruby tightened her hand.
"We'll settle this... once and for all." Ruby leaned in. "If you win... I'll give you chance you're so desperate for."
"And if you win?" Yang perked a brow.
Ruby's face remained neutral before she puts her hood. A sickening crooked smile appeared on her face.
"You won't be alive to find out anyway."
