Stuck in Stubbornness - Part 1

Extremely sorry for the lateness of this first oneshot part! Deepest apologies! I've been kind of crowded with commissions, and other projects to do during the rest of 2022 ... and I couldn't get around to it before.

——————————————

If anyone is confused over this particular oneshot changing it's title in one day, please let me explain.

This was supposed to be the Honey Knight oneshot, but some miscommunications between me and the requester unfortunately led to its parts being posted without some crucial details.

After a lot of discussion, @stillducky and myself agreed to let this oneshot version stand as a sort of Human AU of the OC: Honey Bee. The Honey Knight oneshot itself will be rewritten and is coming soon!

——————————————

This is a heartwarming four-part oneshot, based on Knighty Knight and an OC called Honey Bee. The oneshot itself is allowed to exist by @stillducky, who also owns Honey Bee. I hope that you guys like it! 👍

In the dining hall, Willy's Wonderland, just after the Janitor's entrance ...

Kathy waved a playful goodbye at Willy Weasel as she and Bobby hurried away ... past the 'Super Happy Fun Room' sign and into the left side corridor.

Their minds were already set on exploring the orange-furred predator's 'den': something they'd heard much about, but never seen.

Bobby and Kathy's friends, on the other hand, had already followed the Janitor into the kitchen ... not noticing their friends' absences ... yet.

As soon as all of the humans were out of sight though ...

The music suddenly stopped mid-jangle, and the robots ceased to dance. The weasel and his crew all froze like dummies, but only for a second.

They then relaxed, and began to stretch and flex their mechanical limbs ... as if they were a little stiff.

A few of the animatronic beings (Tito, Arty, and Sara) glanced hungrily at the kitchen door and the left side corridor ... as if they could see their awaited prey through the very building.

Willy then cleared his throat, a slow grin appearing on his face as he spoke.

"Well ... that was very unexpected." His gang all nodded enthusiastically at the robotic weasel's words.

"You said it, Willy!" Siren Sara whooped. She then smirked, the animatronic fairy's face splitting into her true, demonically fanged grin.

"Five extra meals all at once! Isn't that super lucky for us?" she exclaimed. Knighty Knight, who was on her right, huffed and folded his arms at her words.

"It may be 'super lucky' to you, but it's left a ruddy great hole in the roof!!" he grumbled, pointing a finger up at said hole. "What are we going to do about that ruddy hole in the roof?!"

The robotic siren merely rolled her eyes at the knight's concerns and waved a hand about airily.

"Tex will have it fixed in no time. You worry too much, Knighty! Anyway, this has rather livened the evening and hunt up, right, guys?" she quipped, turning to look at her fellow gang members.

Their response was a combined loud cheer, which Sara joined in with delight. All were celebrating, except Willy Weasel, that is.

The serial killer chief wished that he could be as ecstatic about the recent event as his crew was, but Jerry's mind was mainly fixed on the problem of the current Janitor.

That guy was trouble, SERIOUS trouble. Now Willy Weasel wasn't usually the sort to back down to any opponent, but he wasn't stupid.

The Janitor seemed to be well-experienced in fighting, as he took down Ozzie and Gus with minimal damage obtained. The animatronic leader didn't want any more of his gang falling to this man ... so maybe they should take precautions with him.

Willy then cleared his throat again.

"Yes ..." he agreed, the weasel robot choosing his words carefully. "... but even so, I've decided that we should switch targets in tonight's hunt. From the current janitor to the newly-arrived teens."

The serial killer chief noticed his gang members turning towards him with incredulous expressions, but just ignored them and carried on.

"Also, there's now a temporary ban on hunting 'that guy' ... unless it's in self-defence, and in a group. Just concentrate on the newly-arrived teens from now on, okay?"

Willy Weasel finished ... amid a loud, unified cry of "What?!" He then took a deep breath, bracing himself for the awaited complaints from his gang. And come they did!

"Did the boss just say what I think he said?!" muttered Arty angrily to Tito, stepping up behind the turtle to whisper to him. Tito nodded once, before turning and frowning at his leader.

"Why, Señor Willy?" he asked bluntly. "We've never backed down from the object of a hunt before!"

"Yeah, and we've never switched targets before too!" Sara added pointedly, folding her arms. All of the big weasel's crew were eying him with extremely questioning gazes.

Jerry / Willy sighed deeply in frustration, before he spoke. He liked and cared for his gang, but sometimes they weren't that quick on the uptake ... and it was annoying.

"Because we need to make a new hunting strategy for the new guy cleaning here tonight", the serial killer chief replied, tersely.

"This MAVERICK of a man is more capable than I initially thought he was ... and we need to carefully plan out how we deal with him." Willy Weasel's eyes narrowed at the other animatronics as his dangerous temper slowly heated up.

"Or would you guys rather have us stick to the old method and get more of us uselessly smashed up like Ozzie and Gus?!!" he said, gesturing at the two filled garbage bags lying to the right of the front doors on the other side of the hall.

It was a low blow, Jerry knew, but it had to be administered; in order for his crew to see sense. All of the mutters and whispers of discontent from the other robots instantly vanished into an uncomfortable silence.

As one, they all turned their heads to look at the bags containing their smashed-up, mechanical comrades.

It was hard for Willy Weasel and his friends to admit this, but due to the incredible luck they had over the years ... the mechanical figures had grown to believe they were invincible.

Undefeatable.

The cold, hard truth of the matter was ... that they weren't, and it was one that Jerry Robert Willis and his cult had tried to keep Hayesville from realising.

The destroyed bodies of Ozzie Ostrich and Gus Gorilla only made this truth even more stark.

Do you think this sort of stuff was actually going on in the hall in film, while the viewers were watching the backstory? Vote and comment if you like it! 👍
