Transition.

Disclaimer: I don't own Willy's Wonderland. I don't own the picture (cover). Or the song.

(Got bored. A oneshot of Liv and Eloise.)

(Hope you enjoy.)

Liv was an orphan.

Once she had a living family. Attentive, loving, caring to their only child. Sticking together.

Never apart.

Little Liv as everyone called her cooed and wanted to adopt the child. Offering Eloise money if she sold Liv to them or threatened to sue.

Eloise always said no.

She viewed Liv as something more.

Her child. Hers.

Hers. Hers. hers.

She belonged the woman who saved her. And in return, Liv agreed to stay at Eloise's home. Folks told the woman she was unfit to care for a child.

As the sheriff, she didn't give a damn.

Keeping the little girl to herself, Eloise reluctantly agreed to send Liv to school. With her job, she couldn't afford to leave the girl alone.

She trusted no one to look her child.

One day she gets the the school.

The kids are all coming out. Folks happy to see each other after hours apart. Eloise wishes she feels.

A little happiness bubbles as Liv steps out-

It fizzles down.

There's someone walking beside Liv. An adult who seemed a bit too interested in her little girl.

...Eloise's hand went in her gun.

Luckily the man walked away.

The snide grin terrified Eloise.

***

It's two weeks.

Liv adjusts nicely. Taking one of two rooms inside her little trailer. It's not the best place but it's good.

Only two people need to live here.

Eloise doesn't have plans for anyone else.

"Mama?"

She quickly smiled down at Liv. The little girl beams happy at the attention. She's wearing a causal blue shorts and shorts and black shoes.

Eloise afford what she could.

It's better than nothing. Liv has clothes, food, etc.

She's not neglected in the slightest.

Others who try to accuse Eloise have another thing coming. She's made sure Liv is comfortable.

"No, sweetie. It's Eloise."

Still honouring the parents wishes of having Liv remember them. She isn't a child stealer. Liv is adopted, she's not going to lie.

It's better to be honest than have it blow in your face.

Eloise isn't a bad parent.

She picks Liv up and placed her on her lap. They stay watching TV together. Like a little family.

"Okay."

Eloise isn't bad. She's flawed.

...There's a difference.

***

Eloise stood in front of Willy and the gang.

They took mercy on Liv. She wanted to know why.

"You don't simply miss prey." She began, voice heavy. "Why did you take mercy?"

Willy the weasel simply stared back. As if calculating the most absurd answer he can't give-

You wanted a child. We wanted the parents.

Eloise's breath hitches. She dared not interrupt.

Willy's eyes stared into her own. Dominating, all knowing in what selfish desires everyone has. And what they will go to achieve a goal.

We all gained something. An invisible deal.

His voice is deep, contrasting Liv's light and innocent voice. Willy's is deep, demonic.

He's truly the devil in disguise.

Everyone else stared down in judgment.

...Eloise avoided their gaze.

***

Liv stood before the trailer.

It's been two years. You could say she's almost around ten years old. Since Eloise took her in, she's learned more fo the world then necessary.

And how she became adopted.

Once following the fairly old woman to a building. It had a title sign by something which haunted her:

Willy's Wonderland.

The memories are too painful to recall. Liv simply kept looking at the sign, oblivious to the hours passing as she stood there still.

"Eloise?"

She became used the trauma inside those eyes.

Slowly reaching down, picking up the little girl. They held eye contact for however long. Eloise placed Liv down on the floor.

"Liv. Are you my little girl?"

Used to hearing these words, Liv simply nodded like she was acknowledging the question. Eloise liked when she listened.

The woman became stricter as the years passed by.

Maybe even more paranoid.

***

Liv's thirteen and it's been around a few more years.

And Eloise has gotten worse.

They both stared drifting apart around when she turned eleven years old. After that, it's like the protectiveness dialled up to the maximum.

"Oh my god, LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Liv threw something, barely registering the sharp object. It's either a knife or a stick.

...She wouldn't know where it came from.

"Where were you?!" Eloise yelled back. "I want to know where you were?!"

"Uggggh!" Liv ran a hand through her hair. "I told you, I went out with my friends to the movies! You said we could go."

"I never."

"You did."

Silence reigned between the two. They stared until someone would lose. They didn't back down.

...Until Liv did.

"I hate you!"

She ran out the caravan. Eloise stood there letting her leave. She would go, but she knows where she'll be.

In the end, Liv always came back.

She's her child. No one gets that claim.

***

Liv ran all the way to the place.

Standing in front, eyes trained on the mascot.

Willy the weasel seemed innocent on that God damn sign. Simply a children's mascot. Underneath is morning but a monster.

Liv isn't sure why he spared her.

She'd rather die at this rate. Eloise always tried suffocating by keeping Liv inside the trailer at all costs, never allowing hangouts.

The woman turned possessive at the worst times.

Liv's sure she suffers from something. No one if that insane enough on a child unless they were. She stands in the spot for hours once more.

It's always been a peaceful spot.

Keeping an eye on the light she brought, the memories come flooding back full force. Liv lets them on, wanting to envision that ones who'd be.

Her parents.

What she received is death. Trauma. Killers.

Liv looked between the lighter and the place supposedly full of happiness. Kids went there all the time. She comes here more often than admitted.

It's the first time she tries to burn it to the ground.
