chapter eight!

season 1, episode 8 - spinning out!

TODAY WAS KATHERINE'S AWARD CEREMONY AND Aurora was happy for the woman. As she entered the room, she greeted some members of the Walter family.  She was wearing a long yellow spaghetti strap dress with heels and her hair was up in a bun.  "Have any of you seen Cole by any chance?"

"We saw him earlier before we left. Maybe he's coming?" Aurora simply nodded, giving them a small smile. She spotted Ned and Jackie talking, finding it adorable. Her friend was finally in a relationship and was happy. Aurora was also very relieved that people would stop asking if her and Ned were dating now that he had a girlfriend.

"Hi, Aurora, right?" Jackie asked. "Yes. We've actually met before at that party the other day." she answered as she shook hands with the other girl. "So how is living with the Walters going?"

"It's okay. I'm still getting used to living with a bunch of boys." Aurora giggled, causing Jackie to smile. "Also Cole talks about you a lot. I think he's got a thing for you."

"See? Even my girlfriend agrees, A. He likes you." Aurora playfully scoffed, "You guys are adorable. I'm gonna go and find Cole, actually. But I'll catch up with you later, Ned!"

"Later, A!"

Hours later, food was being served as Aurora ate her meal. She couldn't find the blonde boy anywhere, starting to get a bit worried. Where in the world could he be? As if God answered her prayers, Cole walked in the room... but something was off. She smelled a hint of liquor as he passed her, realizing why.

Katherine eventually began her speech, only to be interrupted by Cole's drunk rambling. "Let's go outside." Aurora mumbled, softly pulling him outside as Will followed suit.

If only she had left him there.

AFTER WILL FINISHED SCOLDING COLE, HE WENT BACK INSIDE, leaving Aurora and Cole alone.   "Hi." she stated.  "Hey." Cole stated, clearly in a drunk manner. "Why are you drinking, blondie? Did something happen?"

"Nothing happened. I just wanted to have something, that's all." The girl sighed, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Cole, it's just me, alright? You can tell me what happened when you're ready."

"I don't want to."

"Then help me understand."

"Understand what?"

"This, all of this, Cole. You know how important this is to your mom and I know you wouldn't do that to her. So why?"

"You know, I've always heard this from everyone else and I really don't want to hear it from you, alright?"

"So that's it? You're just going to dismiss the problem? You're not even going to tell me the truth?"

"No, I'm not."

"At least let me drive you home.  It's the least I can do."

"No, thanks. I'm good."

"No you're not, blondie. You're drunk."

"Wow, little miss smarty pants figured that out, huh?" Aurora furrowed her brows, "What did you just call me?"

"You know what? Forget it. Forget this and forget me, okay? You were fine before you met me and clearly this wasn't going to work out."

"So you're saying that we're not friends anymore? You're not even going to try and fight for this?" Cole looked at her as tears started to well up in Aurora's eyes. "Erin was right. You really were going to disappoint me. Goodbye, Cole." she stated as she walked away from him.

One thing was clear that night: Cole Walter has officially fucked things up with Aurora Banks and he had to fix it.

The way Cole managed to mess things up with her is so crazy tho like how do you lose such a baddie?? He needs to make things up with her and FAST
