𝕽haenyra Targaryen loved all her children equally, but she especially doted on her little girl, Aemma Velaryon.

Rhaenyra saw herself in her daughter. Aemma always strayed away from her lessons, as Rhaenyra often did when she was younger. And she also always ran off with her uncle, Aemond Targaryen.

Aemma Velaryon. Named after her  grandmother. Born from a secret love affair between her mother and Ser Harwin Strong. Fathered by Laenor Velaryon. And loved by Aemond Targaryen.

The relationship between Prince Aemond Targaryen and Aemma Velaryon was said to be the spark that lit the fuse that was the dance of dragons.

Multiple stories gave them the title of lovers, spoke of the secret marriage, and disappearance, of the two royals was what woke the outrage within the Blacks, which in turn stirred up the Greens, which spiked up battles, which then lead to wars.

Many wrote stories about it, but none told it better than the person who was a first hand witness to it.

'Doomed with blood' was what Princess Vaenora had called them within her documents. 'Family ties can tear a heart apart' was a phrase many had written when they wrote of the two.

For a marriage beneath a willow tree, made their hearts into one. And the civil war between their families tore it apart.
