Daniel: Doesn't really make a difference.

Jimin: Yes it does when the brother is someone like you.

Daniel: Come on, don't say that. We have the same blood running in our veins.

Jimin: No we don't! I have my father's blood and you have your mother's!

Daniel: Correction, our mother.

Jimin: She is not my mother! She is just a gold digger!

Daniel: Even if she is, you can't deny the fact that she is your mother.

Jimin: Yo-

Mr. Park: Jimin!

I became quiet as I heard my father's voice.

Jimin: Just tell me why are you here?

Daniel: I wanted to talk to you.

Jimin: About what?

Daniel: *smirk* About your girlfriend Mr. Park.

Jimin: *shocked* Dad!.You just told him that?!

Mr. Park: No Jimin I didn't.

Daniel: Don't be angry brother. I knew about it because I know your girlfriend.

Jimin: How?

Daniel: I am her ex boyfriend Jimin. Her first love or maybe I should say her first target.

Jimin: *scoffs* Do you think I believe you?

Daniel: I have proof.

Jimin: I am not interested in seeing it so you better leave my house now.

Daniel: It's okay if you don't believe me but you believe your girlfriend, don't you? Show her this picture and ask if she knows about it or not.

He said while showing me a photo of him and her together. Y/n looked a lot younger in the pic though, more like her college days. It was a screenshot and the top showed the date as 6 years ago. I was shocked as I saw it.

For sure that was Y/n but I trust her. If she had some ex boyfriend she would have told me by now.

Jimin: It's edited.

Daniel: It's not.

Jimin: I don't believe you.

Daniel: Well just do what I say. Show her the pic and ask her about it. Her expression will say it all.

Jimin: I don't need to.

Daniel: Do it to prove me wrong.

He said and sent me the pic.

Daniel: I will be waiting for your call.

He said and left the house.

NEXT DAY

I was sitting in my cabin looking at the picture of Y/n and Daniel together.

It doesn't look like it's edited.

I sighed and waited for break to start. I won't be talking to her about any of this during work.

BREAK TIME

The break finally started and I went into Y/n's cabin. She was writing something when I came in and immediately stopped writing when she saw me and tried to.... hide what she was writing?

Me: What are you doing?

Y/n: N-nothing.

Me: Are you again hiding something from me Y/n?

Y/n: Uhh.. I'll tell you when it's done..

Me: Why not now?

Y/n: Please Jimin...

I sighed and nodded. Atleast she was willing to tell me even if it's not right now.

Y/n: Why are you here? Anything important?

Jimin: Can I come only when its important?

Y/n: That's not what I meant.. Come have a seat. Don't keep on standing there.

I nodded and sat in front of her.

Y/n: So... What happened?

Jimin: Huh?

Y/n: I know something is bothering you. Just tell me what is it.

Jimin: *sigh* Don't get me wrong okay. I am not asking you this because I don't trust you. I just want to know.

She nodded and I showed her the pic.

Me: Is that you? Do you know him?

Her expression changed into a shock one and she somewhat started sweating.

So he was right. She knows him.

Y/n: Where did you get this pic Jimin?

Jimin: First answer me Y/n. Is that you?

Y/n: N-no. It's not me. It's edited.

Jimin: *raises an eyebrow* Are you sure?

Y/n: I don't know.. H-he might be a fan from the past.

This was acceptable. Daniel might have taken this pic as a fan and now he was just threatening me.

I nodded and kept my phone back in the pocket.

Y/n: Jimin... You trust me, right?

Me: *smiles* Of course.

Y/n: If someone says bad about me, don't trust him. Hmm?

I was confused by her sudden request. I am not saying that I don't trust her but now I was doubting that she was lying. The way her expression changed on seeing the picture and her sudden request is making me question it now.

Is Daniel right? Is there something I don't know about?

Y/n: Jimin?

I came back from my thoughts and answered.

Me: Yeah okay. I won't believe him.

She smiled, stood up and came towards me.

Then she suddenly hugged me.

Y/n: I love you Jimin. If there is anything in your mind about me, just ask me. Don't believe what people say.

She said as her grip on my waist became stronger as if she was trying to calm herself down.

Now I was highly doubting if she said the truth or not. After my mom cheated on my Dad, I can't trust anyone blindly.

Me: I love you too...

The day went by but I could hardly concentrate on work. I was confused as to who should I believe and who should I not.

I was in my thoughts when I heard the door opening and Y/n entered.

Y/n: Are you done with your work?

Me: Yeah...

Y/n: Umm.. Can you do something for me?

Me: What is it?

Y/n: C-can you make me coffee?

Me: You can ask the staff for that Y/n.

Y/n: Y-yeah but I want to have a coffee made by you..

Me: *sigh* Okay, I'll get you one.

I said and left the cabin.

I came back in the cabin with her coffee. She was standing near my desk, her back facing me.

Me: Here is your coffee.

She immediately turned around as if a bit shocked.

Y/n: You scared me Jimin!

Me: Hehe sorry.

I said while handing her the coffee.

Y/n: We have a meeting with Mr. Lee tomorrow. Make sure to get all the required files.

I just nodded.

Y/n: You know what.. Just keep it in the bag today only and see if it has all the required papers.

This was confusing. She has never asked me to check the file before.

She might have noticed my expression as she says..

Y/n: I just don't want to make a mistake. They are our biggest clients.

I simply nodded understanding her but she was acting very weird, I don't know why.

I was at my home still thinking about Daniel's words and Y/n's weird reaction.

Her expression will say it all.

I sighed as I remembered it. After what my Mom did I can't help but think that anyone could be a betrayer. I didn't have any other option but to text my brother.

Tell me everything you know about Y/n.

I got up from the bed and that is when I saw my bag.

Just keep it in the bag today only and see if it has all the required papers.

I went up to my bag and took out the file we needed for tomorrow's meeting.
I opened the file and I saw something unusual.
There was a.... letter?
