The Wedding

The wedding was a simple affair. Jungkook was happy as ever. Taehyung took Jimin and Minjun earlier to the matrimony office.

His dad came directly from the airport. Jungkook sat in his car, until he arrived. He was dressed in a suit Jungkook picked during their video call two days ago. There was no aisle, but the sparks of joy in his father's eyes and the blooming scent of pine around them was enough for him.

The short distance from his car to the office became Jungkook's aisle. Yoongi, his best man and driver for the day, walked beside him on the other side. He had a hand on Jungkook's lower back as if to assure him.

Jungkook appreciated his friend's never ending support. He didn't know what he would do without Yoongi by his side. He was a big brother Jungkook always needed but never had until a few years ago.

Butterflies fluttered in his belly and warmth erupted in his chest. His grip around his father's elbow tightened. And his father patted his hand in assurance.

"Puppy, you look so radiant. Damn, this old wolf never really realized his little pup grew into such a brilliant omega. You look just like your mom." His dad's scent bloomed with pride. "Your mom would be so proud."

"Thanks, Papa," Jungkook replied shyly.

"Are you happy, bun? If you don't want this, my car is just a few feet away and my jet is fuelled and ready."

Jungkook laughed out loud, all nervousness he was feeling ebbing away. "Papa..." He giggled. "I really want this."

"You're worse than your mom. I really wanted to meet Jimin before you both took it to the next step, but here we are. I'm gonna meet him as your husband now."

Jungkook nuzzled to his side. "He's an amazing alpha. If he's not, then you have my full permission to go all Papa bear on him and maul him, alright?" He looked up into his father's loving eyes.

"Deal." His Papa grinned and stopped. "Ah, my precious pup." He cupped his face to kiss his forehead. "I wish you only happiness from here on forth. Make Papa even more proud," he whispered against his head.

Jungkook nodded, overwhelmed by his emotions. "Love you, Papa."

"Love you too, my precious bun." He pulled back. "Now, come on. Let's get you married." He winked. "I can't wait to meet my grand pup."

"Dada!"

The pup's excited squeal greeted them first and then a small bundle of red collided with his knees as soon as he entered the small office.

"Minmin." Jungkook knelt immediately and scented the pup diligently. It was just one night but he already missed the pup so much. "Have you been good to Papa and uncles?"

"Yes." Minmin beamed. "Minmin brings flowers to Dada." He lifted the huge red rose bouquet with a toothy smile. "Pretty like Dada."

"Aww, my precious little pup," Jungkook swooned. "Thank you so much. This is just so perfect." He turned the bouquet, admiring how beautifully it was arranged. Suddenly everything got even better.

"Come. Come. Dada come. Papa said Dada can stay with us forever if you marry Papa." Minjun tugged at his hand.

While Minjun was fluent in talking, he still had trouble pronouncing certain words and letters. Jungkook loved the way he struggled to pronounce 'r' everytime. This time to he said 'mally' instead of marry and Jungkook thought it was the most precious thing ever.

The omega stood, flowers in one hand and the pup in the other. His father and Yoongi followed as he approached the alpha.

Jungkook's breath caught in his throat. Jimin looked so stunning in black. Their eyes locked and Jungkook felt their surroundings blur. His alpha's eyes shined with each step he took toward them. Soon his dad was taking his hand from the pup and handing it to the alpha.

The omega's heart fluttered at the touch. Jimin's hand was so warm and the gentle squeeze was so assuring. He stepped closer, holding his hand.

"You look so beautiful in white," Jimin whispered. "Like an angel ascended from heaven." He cupped the side of his face. "My angel."

The shuttering sound of the camera didn't even fall on his ears. He was too lost in his alpha's eyes.

Jungkook smiled widely as the registering office cleared his throat. After that, the formalities were quickly over. They both signed as the pup bounced on his feet between them, squealing as each person finished signing.

Once the witnesses were signed, two from each side, they were done. Jungkook's dad and Yoongi signed as witnesses for Jungkook while Seokjin and Namjoon signed for Jimin. Hoseok hoisted the pup so he could see everything clearly.

"Alright, you love birds. Now kiss and seal the deal," Jungkook's dad announced in a bright voice, drawing laughter from the small group gathered in the office.

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" The pup clapped his hands with a wide smile.

Jimin pulled the flustered omega by his waist, pecking his lips in a loving kiss. "I love you, husband."

Jungkook melted upon hearing that. It sounded so wonderful coming from him. "Husband..." he repeated. "I like it." He leaned to kiss him, to which Jimin responded eagerly. "I love you too."

After the wedding, they headed straight to the hotel Jungkook's dad booked for them. After a hearty lunch in the restaurant and a brief rest in their rooms, they changed and got ready for the party in time for dinner.

Jungkook freshened up and changed into the suit he chose for the small reception. The pup excitedly jumped in his bed, as he got ready for the evening.

"Dada is pwetty (pretty)!" he kept chanting.

His father played with the pup and Jungkook watched them bond with a fond smile. He haven't seen his Papa smile this widely since his mom passed away. This was the happiest he had ever seen the alpha.

Jungkook's scent sweetened with happiness and contentment. After his breakup, this all felt like an impossible dream. Now, here he was already married to a wonderful alpha and an adorable pup that caused the flowers in his garden to bloom again.

The evening reception was a blast. They might have had too much fun. It was a closed but intimate party with people he cared about. With fun and games accompanied with dancing it was much better than what Jungkook hoped for.

He had his first father-son dance before dancing with Jimin. The alpha held him tighter, smiling at him as they danced to the songs they both chose a few days ago while snuggling in his nest. When their pup joined them a few songs later, demanding his Papa and Dada danced with him too, his joy doubled. It was just so perfect. Around ten p.m., his dad announced he was retiring for the night and took the sleepy pup with him.

The rest of them headed to their suits to change into something comfortable for their karaoke night. Once again, his dad booked the entire bar for their entertainment. This one included drinks and appetizers.

To say, Jungkook had fun was an understatement. He never thought karaoke could be this fun. Even Jimin had let go, singing at top of his lungs with Hoseok as they broke all the records. But Yoongi wasn't one to give up that easily. He paired with Seokjin and Namjoon to score higher marks, leaving Jungkook and Taehyung to defend themselves. Unfortunately for the pair, they were too happy and giggling throughout the song, losing to both groups.

It was a little after midnight when others forced the newly wed to retire and go to their room. Jungkook flushed red, heat spreading dangerously to his face and ears as he averted his gaze while Jimin looked smug beside him.

Jimin was extremely happy. The wedding went flawlessly and he couldn't have asked for more. His hyungs and others have handled all the arrangement in a short span of time.

After dancing for a while, he took a break to nourish his parched throat with a drink.

"Jimin, a word please," Jungkook's dad pulled him aside sometime during the party.

Jimin excused himself and stepped aside to speak to his father-in-law. In person, Jungkook's dad was even more awe-inspiring. That man knew how to have fun. He spared no expenses and despite their protests, didn't let them pay for a single thing. He did everything to bring his and Jungkook's vision to reality. The wedding was a dream that came true.

"Yes, dad."

"Let's take a walk," he invited.

"Okay." Jimin smiled. It was evident Jungkook's dad intended to do more than just a walk.

Together, they left the reception hall and walked to the small rooftop garden of the hotel. Jungkook's dad looked relaxed.

"Jungkook is so happy today. Thanks to you." He smiled.

Jimin reciprocated the smile. "I'm happy, thanks to Jungkook. I'm the lucky one here."

"You're modest just like my son says. I see why he's smitten with you." His father-in-law's smile widened. "Welcome to the family, son." He wrapped a hand around his shoulder. "So, tell me, son. Is there a specific reason why you wanted to marry Jungkook in a week?" He dropped his hand and turned to face him. His gaze was sharp and observing as ever. "You could have waited until after your business trip to marry him. But you wanted me to use my connections and hurry the process. Why?"

Jimin's features tightened. He mulled over it for a moment and then fished his phone out of his pocket. Searching for the texts with his dad, he opened it and showed it to his father-in-law.

He waited until he finished reading the conversation. "I don't know what she has in her mind, but if she came looking for Minjun, I want Jungkook to have full legal capacity to protect them both. My wolf has chosen him as their mate and my pup has chosen him as his father. There can be only one omega parent for my son and that is Jungkook."

His father-in-law smiled and handed his phone back to him. "Jungkook won't be alone if it comes to that." He put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed. "My son is fierce when it comes to protecting his people. I pity your ex. If it comes to that, I suggest you step back and let my son handle it. Jeon omegas are extremely possessive and protective. I wouldn't go against one. Also, a word of advice..." He leaned closer. "Never get between two omegas. Ever. It's better to be a spectator. Trust me. Your wolf will thank me later."

Jimin's smile was relaxed. "I trust him, but I just wanted to cover all the bases just in case."

"That's thoughtful. I can see what my son sees in you."

"You didn't just bring me here to talk about this, did you?" Jimin asked.

His father-in-law shook his head. "There's something important." His expression turned serious. "Jeon family has always had an upper hand in the business. But since my son is not interested in business and he has been single for so long, some of the board members are trying to take advantage of the situation."

Jimin frowned and his brows creased.

"I have no doubt my family is involved in this. My stepmother has a great hold in many areas being a pack omega. After my wife passed away, her influence grew stronger than ever. My son, who should have filled that role has been absent for so long. Things aren't the same anymore."

Jimin schooled his features. "What do you expect of me?"

His father-in-law's gaze snapped to his face. "I'll be straight forward. You're a Park, the first born. I know all about your family's upbringing. You're trained from a young age to take over the pack affairs and business someday."

Jimin's throat tightened. "I'm not their heir anymore."

"I don't care. You're my son's husband and a very capable young man in my eyes. This business is everything to me in this world after my son. If you're willing, I want to entrust this company to you." He clasped his hands behind him. "I've inquired all about you and dug through your performance all these years. You're underpaid and taken advantage of your knowledge and efficiency. Yet, you stick to the job because they offered you a job at a time you needed it the most. But you must know your loyalty and gratitude have already been paid off. It's time for you to move on to a better option."

Jimin exhaled. "Did you speak to Jungkook?"

He smiled. "No. He doesn't know it yet and he would want it to be your choice." His shoulders slumped. "I'm not forcing you or trying to tell you what you should do. It's a humble invite to uphold the Jeon family legacy if you're willing."

Jimin watched him intently for a moment long and then blew out another breath. "I accept."

The answering smile on his father-in-law's face resembled to that of Jungkook's. He could see where his beloved mate's smile came from. "That's good," he said. "That's...wow. I didn't think you would accept."

Jimin stepped forward to hug his father-in-law. "We are family now," he replied. "It's my duty, dad. If you think it's a good choice then I'm willing to try."

Jungkook's dad returned the hug. "Thank you."
