When it was time to leave, Jungkook didn't want to move. He pouted unconsciously and his grip tightened around the alpha's hand.

The day turned out to be the best. He forced Jimin to rest while he cooked and did laundry. They watched a movie together, ordered dinner from outside because Jimin didn't allow him to cook again. Then folded the laundry while talking to each other in hushed voice while Minjun was deep into the movie they were all watching.

He longed for the day when he didn't have to leave like this.

"It's getting pretty late and you have work tomorrow," the alpha said.

Jungkook hummed. Minjun clung to his neck, his nose buried into Jungkook's neck and hold tight. "You live too far from school," he said. "Isn't it hard for you to drive him every day? Why did you rent a place this far?"

Jimin smiled. "I actually bought this place when Minmin was born." He rubbed the pup's back. "He initially went to a school nearby so I didn't see the need to move. But then I had to change several schools before settling with the ones you work."

"Oh." Jungkook glanced down at his feet. "I didn't mean to pry. Just thought your life would be much easier if you lived closer."

"You can pry all you want," Jimin simply said. "You're a part of the family now."

Heat spread on his cheeks again and the alpha leaned to kiss his already flaming cheeks. He gently pried Minjun from his hands.

"I don't want you to leave, but it's getting late. I would tell you to stay but I don't want to overwhelm you."

Jungkook nodded. "Another time."

It was too early. His heart was already in a puddle with Minjun easily accepting him as a second parent and Jimin too. The emotions were just too much to process all at once and it felt like he was running too fast. Though he couldn't help the way he felt for the alpha or the pup, he wanted to take his time and ease into the relationship. He wanted it to last longer.

The alpha nodded and Jungkook hugged the alpha. "Drive safe. Call me once you reached home."

"Okay," Jungkook whispered. "See you soon."

Jimin nodded with a gentle smile.
