Will You Be My Daddy? 🐰 - 2

Jimin had a long, tiring day, but he was happy to be home early. The merger he was handling had gone well and finally he was able to be home earlier than usual. Minjun would be happy to see him.

Being a single parent was harder than handling mergers and acquisitions or other important decisions for the company he worked. Park Minjun was Jimin's pride and joy. He was a sweet child, but after his live in nanny left, the sudden change had distressed the little one.

Jimin couldn't wait to spend more time with him. Jin had said he would have to be patient until Minjun got used to his new nanny and spend as much time with him as possible. But his job didn't allow as much time with him as possible. Work was demanding at times and he heavily relied on his friends to take care of Minjun in his absence.

A few more years and it'd become easier, he would tell himself. It was easier said than done though. The child's needs differed as they grew so Jimin was in for a new adventure every day.

He rode the elevator with a soft smile, imagining Minjun's beaming smile when he got to see the toy Jimin bought for him on his way home. Minjun wanted it for some time and Jimin promised he would buy it for him if he was a good boy.

It has been a week since this new nanny joined and Minjun hadn't thrown any tantrum yet to drive her away. So he hoped this gift would encourage him. He unlocked his door by entering the passcode and slipped inside fully intending to catch his son by surprise when he heard the loud yelling coming from the inside.

What the fuck?!

Minjun was absolutely miserable. Jimin didn't know how to comfort him. The topic was a sore subject for both.

At school, Minjun saw how almost everyone had two parents but he only had one. And that too, Jimin was too busy to drop him off at school and pick him up because he left early and came home late. It was his nanny who took care of that responsibility.

With the merger closed, he decided he would work from home until his son was comfortable with the new nanny. However, things had gone downhill from the moment he entered his home. He was glad that woman was out of his home and he didn't hold back when the agency told him his son was difficult.

Minjun needed someone understanding and can be patient with him. He was a sensitive child. Jimin knew he alone wasn't enough, but they had no choice. He never dated after Minjun's mom. First of all, he didn't have time and even if he did, it wasn't that easy. Now he had a child to think about.

With how sensitive Minjun was, he didn't know if he would accept whoever Jimin wanted to date. One day Jimin came home with an omega scent on him. He had taken a crowded elevator earlier and an omega accidentally left their scent behind. Minjun didn't react well and hadn't even gone anywhere near Jimin for a day.

So Jimin didn't dare to even think about relationships even when his friends insisted that he should try to move on. For him, Minjun's happiness and wellness mattered the most. He just didn't see a relationship in his cards anytime in the future.

Jimin gently coaxed Minjun out of his bed. He knew his words alone wouldn't offer assurance. It would take him some time before his son forgot today's incident and moved on.

He would figure this out. Tomorrow he would go to Minjun's school and will try to find why Minjun disliked going there. If Minjun still didn't want to go, then he had no choice but to change schools. Maybe a fresh start would help him. Or at least he hoped it would.

If nothing worked, then he would just have to homeschool him for a year or two like Namjoon suggested. But Jimin hoped it wouldn't come to that. Minjun had no friends. He was only five and there were things he could experience only at school. He wanted his son to make new friends and enjoy his childhood as much as possible.

For now, distracting him and spending time with him like Jin suggested was what he was going to do. He would worry about other things when the time came.
