[Honey's POV]

This is your second chance. Mind your business and you'll be fine.

Remember: I'm watching you.

Honey stared at the letter that arrived earlier. It was too heavy in her hands and it slid down to the floor just like her heart sinking down to her stomach.

She slid down to the floor, covering her face with both her hands. The omega couldn't believe she was let off from this charade. Her hands trembled as she cried in relief.

Imagine your mom finding out. Lol, your dad's heart would finally stop if he learns his lovely daughter tried to screw over the life of their respected head omega.

The nightmare taunted her almost every day. But now it was finally over. She was afraid it was only a ruse and it'd all start right back up. Honey didn't think the repercussions would be too harsh.

It was all fucked up. Honey didn't exactly remember when or how it all started. She was once obsessed with Sohee.

Like every teenager she was attracted to gorgeous outfits and makeups. Sohee always came to school in style. Her cousin Jeon Jungkook was none other than the future head omega of the Jeon pack. He was a celebrity already.

Jungkook had a selective group of friends in school. He was polite but always kept people at an arm's length. Sohee, however, was different. She was bubbly and always followed Jungkook around.

It was much later that Honey became a part of their friends group. Something she didn't think was possible at that time. However, soon it became evident why she was accepted into their group. Honey was their little errand girl. They said fetch and she fetched.

But Honey was ready to do anything even for that. Because just being with them made her look cool among her peers and they looked at her with a new found respect. Sohee sometimes spoiled them with all these goodies or took them out for fancy dinners or family parties.

It was a world Honey never knew existed and she was addicted. She wanted to be a part of them and slowly she wanted to be them. Being with them wasn't easy. It was hella demanding. She had to match their dressings.

The money her parents gave wasn't enough so she took part-time jobs to be able to afford the clothing to match their level. But years of neglect was wearing her thin. It had proven to her that she would never be anything to them.

But she didn't have the guts to say no to their forces. So she played along. The reality check came when her dad fell sick and the family responsibility fell on her shoulders as the eldest daughter of the family. Her mother had a job but it wasn't enough to feed five mouths and handle all the medical expenses.

Only option to lessen the burden of those hefty bills was the medi-claim. Imagine her surprise to learn that Sohee's grandmother embezzled all that money for their personal expenses. Sohee was never really rich, but was living off of Jungkook's family money.

She overheard her parents talking how Omega Sun-young was incapable and how her son-in-law (Sohee's dad) gambled his way into debts. But the wakeup call came too late. She'd already dug her grave by then. The fear of losing everything hadn't even sunken until 'the nightmare' showed up in their group chats with receipts of every shit they did in the past.

Honey might be a powerless bystander in majority of them, but she was still an accomplice. It was only a momentary wisdom that stopped her from sending those packages to the news channels in Seoul. Yuna already sent out a bunch but she thought that wasn't enough. So this was supposed to go for the famous gossip YouTubers and a lesser known news channels.

That week she was in Seoul to visit Jeon HQ to medi-claim clearance with her mother. It took a day and they asked them to wait to collect the money by the end of the day. Booking a hotel would cost more than what was in their purse, so Honey and her mom decided to stay in a park.

It was there, she saw something she shouldn't have. This area of the park faced the backside of a famous restaurant. Sometime after lunch, she saw Park Jimin come out through the back door. The one who followed out of the door was none other than Jeon Jungkook, their new head omega.

They sat on a bench, facing the alleyway that could fit only one car at a time. They were hidden by a huge dumpster but their view was clear.

"Isn't that—"

"Hush, mom," she whispered, slapping a hand over her mom's thigh and squeezing. "They will see us."

Her mom went silent and in front of them Jimin turned around and pulled the head omega by his waist, kissing him square on his lips. Honey gasped, her jaw going slack.

"Oh, my God!" her mom whispered beside her. "Head Omega Jeon is seeing Alpha Park?"

Their question was answered when the door opened again and a pup came out of the door followed by Head Alpha Jeon. They watched dumbfounded as the pup rushed to Jungkook's side.

"Dada, look!" he squealed, showing a cup of ice cream in his hand.

"Oh, wow. Where's mine?" Jungkook asked.

Honey barely breathed. Shock had rendered her motionless. She couldn't believe her eyes. Jungkook was with Jimin. Like 'together' together. The pup called him Dada.

They were laughing and she couldn't make out what was being said. A black SUV rolled into the alleyway. Jimin bent to Jungkook's stomach level, whispering something. Then to her confusion, he kissed his tummy. The head omega giggled as the pup continued to copy his alpha father.

"Oh, my God! He's pregnant," her mom whispered in awe.

Jimin straightened and kissed Jungkook again on his lips. "Be safe, honey bun. Love you."

"Love you more, alpha." Jungkook pulled him for another kiss while Head Alpha Jeon just climbed inside the car with a smile on his face and waved at the pup.

"Bye, Minmin. Be good to your Dada."

The pup beamed. "I will, Papa. Minmin is the best pup."

"That you are." Jimin ruffled his hair before climbing into the car and leaving with Head Alpha Jeon.

Another white car rolled into the alleyway right then. Jungkook and the pup got into that car before disappearing from their view.

"Wow," her mom whispered. "Head omega Jeon is not mated but he also has a pup. Gosh, did you see how Alpha Park kissed his stomach? They're definitely expecting." Her mom was so excited that it was contagious.

Honey was awestruck. All this time Sohee was complaining that Jungkook was trying to get Minhyuk back, he was mated to Alpha Park. He had not one but two pups. The packages in her bag drilled holes and suddenly weighed too heavy.

Jungkook had moved on. He had a loving family. They all looked so happy and in love. Heaviness settled in her chest. Was she still going to do this? This could not only ruin his reputation but his family life too.

"You know how great this is?" her mom continued, unaware of her moral dilemma. "That kid deserves only the best. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be able to clear our hospital bills. They even gave me a recommendation for one of their best benefits and told me we could operate your dad for free. He's gonna be okay, Honey. Our dad is gonna be back on his feet again in no time. Just remember, Honey, no matter what, you have to repay their kindness. It doesn't matter in what form. You should never bite the hand that feeds."

It felt like a slap to her. Her mom wouldn't stop talking and every word was like a strike to her heart. That night, Honey lied to Sohee that she posted the mails as she instructed, but in reality hid them deep in her closet. The package had gone missing recently and right then 'the nightmare' started haunting them all.

She knew this was all connected and that scared her even more. After a while, she wiped her cheeks and read the letter again. It was true. She was given a second chance.

Honey stood with a determination. She didn't know if she deserved it, however, she was relieved that it was over.

She swore that she was a changed person and it was time to start fresh. Honey didn't know what would happen to her other ex-friends. She didn't think it would be a problem because she finally had a new job and she was moving. This should be a sign.

"Honey, lunch is ready!"

Honey relaxed with a smile. At least she still had a family that cared for her and siblings, who didn't know what kind of person she was. It was time to change that. She promised to herself that she would be a better person before going out of the room.
