Honey jumped, whirling around to see Yuna and Eunji leaning on the wall right outside her apartment door. Her eyes widened like saucers and she tried to run back into her one bedroom apartment.

Yuna grabbed her by her hair, pulled harshly and threw her on the floor. "Not that fast, bitch," she snarled. "You ditched us at the first chance you had." She kicked her ribs, earning a pained whimper from her. "Did you think we would let you leave that easily?"

"Y-Yuna," Honey whimpered. "S-Stop."

Yuna pulled her up by her hair again. Honey stumbled on her knees, her bag and cellphone cluttering on the floor. Eunji kicked them away with a smirk. "Now you remember our names."

"I-I didn't do anything."

"You ditched us!" Yuna clawed at her face before throwing her back to the floor.

Eunji used the chance to kick her twice. "Fucking cunt. You used us. Did you think you'll get a free pass while we are doomed to whatever hell Jungkook is gonna subject us to?" she hissed. "He took everything from us—our job, money, our apartment. Our families disowned us. They're suddenly too ashamed of having us as their daughters. And you," she growled. "You get to live happily with no repercussions when you've stood with us in everything we did."

"I-I never h-hurt anyone," Honey coughed.

Yuna scoffed. "Wrong. You hurt us and if we are going down then you're going down with us." She dragged us by her hair into the apartment before kicking the door shut with a bag. "I'll fucking end you today."

Eunji's smile was menacing. "Nice apartment. Wonder where you got the money from."

"Did you steal our money again?" Yuna asked, stepping over her leg, her heels digging into Honey's calf muscles.

Honey screamed in pain. She gripped her leg and tried to get away but Eunji blocked her path, holding her up by her hair.

"Not so soon." She smiled. "The law won't punish you because of one small deed you refused to do, but we can't say the same. You're a dead bitch. That's what you get for using us for our money and popularity all these years."

"Eunji-ah, go easy. She's a friend after all," Yuna said, removing her leg. The flesh on her leg turned red and she couldn't tell if it was bleeding or not. It hurt as hell.

Eunji let go and Honey curled into a ball, glaring at the face she least expected to see. "H-How did you f-find me?"

Yuna laughed and the look in her eyes only frightened Honey more. "I can find you anywhere as long as you live inside Korea. You should have left the country, bitch!" She crouched in front of her, pushing Honey's hair behind her ears with the same smile. "Or you should have at least warned your parents about us. But let me guess. That would mean coming clean to them and admitting all your wrong doings, isn't it?"

Honey closed her eyes, sobbing as she realized her mistake. She didn't think it was important to warn her parents. Yuna and Eunji didn't care about her family. They met only once or twice. She just didn't expect her ex-friends to track her down like this.

"We are fugitives now. Jungkook's dogs are hunting us down. They banished us and canceled our papers. We can't even leave the country even if we want to. The other packs won't take us in after what happened to those stupid alphas," Yuna continued. "We haven't slept in three days and had nothing to eat. But here you are, living your life like nothing happened."

"You're as guilty as we are," Eunji came to stand behind her. "You were right there with us when she did all those horrible things to Jungkook. You were with us when we decided to send those packages to the media. You were badmouthing him and enjoying everything that went down. Sohee is missing but we already know she won't escape this shit show. That leaves only you."

Yuna stood to grab something from Eunji and Honey's blood ran cold. She let out a terrified scream but Eunji was already holding her immobile. Yuna crouched again. "This is a little parting gift from us," she said. "You'll never forget us even if you want to."

Honey could do nothing but scream as she went on to pierce her skin, dragging the knife down her cheeks. Blood spilled from her wound and she knew it would leave an everlasting scar. Pain exploded from her left side of the cheek and her heart almost beat out of the chest when Yuna went to do the same with her right side of the face.

"No!"

When an unknown blast echoed throughout her apartment, it was a little bit late for Honey. Yuna dropped the knife and stood. The grip holding her immobile was gone. They both lifted their arms in the air with a satisfied smirk.

Honey continued to sob until blackspot clouded her vision. When she opened her eyes again she was in an ambulance. The siren and the medic fussing over her were obvious signs. She let out a relieved sigh despite the pain.

"You're awake." The unfamiliar voice pulled her out. She opened her eyes to see a beautiful beta with African braids adorned with silver beads. "Shana is the name. You know me as... your Nightmare."

Honey's eyes widened. Shock and pain rendered her speechless.

"I'd have come sooner but then I thought it'd be nice if those two gave us more charges to work with." Shana aka Nightmare grinned. "You see, Jungkook is a sweetheart and he didn't think twice before he asked me to let you go. He was grateful that you changed your mind and didn't send those packages." She sat back, crossing her leg at the knee. "But I'm not as forgiving as him you see."

Honey whimpered, but couldn't say anything else. Did she believe the hacker blindly? Was she a fool all along?

"I did nothing," Shana said as if reading her mind. "I'm not that cheap." She looked disgusted as if it was something beneath her. "It's all karma this time. You see Jungkook might have forgiven you but that wouldn't magically erase the pain you caused him for years. You didn't actively commit crime but being an accomplice and doing nothing makes you equally guilty. So I did nothing even when I knew they were in there with you. I wouldn't let you die at any cost, of course. Thought they would thrash you a bit and leave you. But this..." She smiled. "This is even better."

Shana waved a hand and the ambulance stopped.

"They're in custody now. Don't worry. They're not getting out in this lifetime. You can live freely from now on. As for your face, that's gonna leave a scar and there's nothing I can do about it."

Honey could only watch from behind the curtain of tears as Shana exited the vehicle. The tears spilled as the doors shut behind Shana and the vehicle started moving again, her words ringing in her ears.

Shana was right. Karma saw everything. No matter how hard she tried to outrun it, this was coming. She closed her eyes and let the tears fall freely. At least she was alive. She'd carry the pain forever in her heart and there was nothing she could do about it.
