Various noise are heard. Sound of hooves, dog barking, children screaming and playing. And a rider going on horse.

3 Children enter scene and see a scroll lying on the ground.

"The rider must have dropped it and he is gone." Sheila said eyeing the scroll

"Let's open it and see" Laxman said as he started opening it "It seems like a letter but it's in brahmi, I wish I could read it"

(Brahmi- An ancient Indian script)

"We should find someone who can read Brahmi" Nakul said as he took it from Laxman

"And your wish is fulfilled" Sheila said pointing towards Aditya (monk) coming

"Laxman! You are person I wanted to see" Aditya said "Can you tell your father to make another begging bowl, this one has cracked?"

"Already? I gave you one last month." Laxman said

"I know child. But what can I do? The rice and wheat they give me have stones in it. If your father can't make me another, I would go begging for begging bowl." Aditya said

"Oh stop it please" Laxman said as he bent down to pick a lump of clay "This clay is for you, all right?"

"Oh thankyou child, may budhha enlighten you" Aditya said "Nakul what is in your hand?"

"A letter, Laxman thinks that it is in Brahmi." Sheila replied

"Laxman knows it is in Brahmi" Laxman said with surety in his voice

Nakul gives the scroll to Aditya, who reads it.

"This is not a letter children" Aditya said "It seems like an poem but I cannot read it."

(Ashara- The rainy season)
(Vihara- A Buddhist Monastery)

"I like this poem. It has a nice rhyme." Sheila said

"I know, It's about a treasure. We can find the treasure if we solve it." Nakul said fast in excitement

"I don't think so, there are no directions here." Aditya said

"How can we find the horseman?" Sheila said

"Solve the riddle, I am too old for that." saying this Aditya went from there

Sounds of hooves are heard and there enters Bappa searching for the scroll he dropped.

"Are you looking for this?" Nakul said showing the scroll to him

"Did you opened it?" Bappa asked worriedly

"Yes but we haven't taken anything" Nakul replied

"Are you sure? Because if you have, I will have you arrested for theft." Bappa said fiercely

"Yes, we saw it." Sheila said

"Did you read it?" Bappa said angrily

"No, we can't read." Laxman said

"Oh" Bappa said relieved and takes out a silver coin "I am sorry I yelled at you. This is for returning the bundle"

Bappa exits from there.

"What was so important in that scroll that made him angry?" Laxman said

"Why did you said that you didn't read it?" Sheila asked

"I didn't, Aditya did. So there" Laxman said with a grin

"I still want to solve it but I forgot" Nakul said

"When the full moon is in Ashara, follow the river of men to the river bank....... " Sheila recites "Don't worry, I never forget a poem I like."
