FOR AS long as Juniper McCarthy could remember she has been best friends with Henry Hart. They live right next to each other and even their parents are friends so it only made sense for them to become friends as well. The two always hung out together and always told each other everything. Henry is the Joey to Juniper's Phoebe, the relationship that should've been but they couldn't see so they just stayed friends.

Some might even say they were attached at the hip because of how close they are. They both started seeing each other in a different light when they got to high school. They're both aware of their feelings for each other yet they do nothing about it because they're scared. Unbeknownst to each other the reason is that they both feared of losing each other if they ever got together. To make matters worse they're the type of friends where they can display casual affection with each other and it not be weird. But after they both started liking each other romantically they start to second guess themselves and wonder if it means anything when they hold each other's hands or wrap their arms around each other.

Juniper is really smart for her age, she has the highest IQ in her class, and had even skipped a few grades (but she's still the same age as Henry, and their other two best friends, Charlotte, and Jasper). Her dad, Dexter, is a scientist/inventor who makes different inventions and even makes some inventions for the government. He had let Juniper help him make one when he thought she was ready and she was only ten at the time. Being her clumsy self she accidentally knocked some chemicals they were using for an invention and they spilt on her. Her DNA and physiology was altered the second those mixed chemicals came in contact with her skin. It supercharged her cells and gave her the powers.

After finding out she now has powers, Dexter was ecstatic to learn his invention worked. When villains started showing up in Swellview the government contacted her dad and asked him to make some kind of invention that would stop the villains. Her dad thought that maybe if people had superpowers then it would be easier for them to send the villains away. So that's why he made this invention that looked similar to a laser. He had worked everything out in his mind so when the chemicals he made (that would hopefully give a person powers) was in the invention and the invention was on then it would zap the person in front of it.

The person would feel like they're getting tazed for a few seconds, but then feel normal and would then have powers. He was weary about this whole thing working so he was so happy to find out it worked. He assured his daughter he would teach her how to learn them since he's the one who created them and he wants to help her because she's his daughter. Juniper appreciated her dad so much with teaching her about her powers. She had to admit having them were really cool, but there were some times where having powers were tough. Her dad had taught her how to use her powers a little bit before he was suddenly diagnosed with cancer.

Juniper was devastated when her dad died. Her dad was not only her dad but like a best friend to her. She had no idea how to control her powers and she still didn't know how to use her powers all the way yet. Her mom decided on taking her to a family friend, Ray Manchester, knowing he could help her. Dexter was best friend's with Ray and he had rambled to Ray about his plans for his invention so Ray knew all about the powers Juniper now had.

Juniper was like a daughter to Ray and so he was more than happy to help her out. Thanks to him, she learned how to use her powers and keep control of them. Juniper knew all about Ray's powers and the fact that he's Captain Man. She honestly thought it was really cool and was amazed by all that he did to save Swellview. After Ray admitted he might need some help fighting crime he asked Juniper to help him. Juniper made it clear that she's not his sidekick and he was fine with that. Juniper just wanted to be a superhero, not a superhero's sidekick. That was when Juniper became her superhero alias Dash.

It's hard keeping secrets from people. It's even more hard when you have to keep a secret from your best friend. Juniper was so glad that Henry got the job at Junk 'N Stuff and ended up being Ray's sidekick. That meant she didn't have to keep her being Dash a secret from him anymore. But now things are gonna be even harder for them to pretend that they don't have feelings for each other. It's like they got two left feat, round in circles, they step in repeat. But when they pull in close their lips never meet. Juniper wonders how long they're gonna do this dance because she's getting tired of all this 'will they won't they' romance.

sorry bout that long summary! also separate character from actor, henry hart would never do the things jace has done! I've been meaning to write a henry fic for awhile so im glad im finally doing that. i thought of this plot when i listened to will they or wont they by jeremy shada-go stream his music, he's super talented!!
