( season 3: episode 2 - love muffin; part one )

Juniper was currently pacing in the Man Cave along with Charlotte and Henry. It was past midnight and they had been called by Ray for an emergency. What was the emergency? They didn't know because Ray didn't tell them. But it must be important enough for them having to be at the Man Cave so late.

Juniper had been woken up from her sleep and so she didn't bother to put on makeup or fix her hair that was in a messy bun. Not only that she also wore sweats and a blue hoodie over her white tank top, and the sweater was an off shoulder sweater. For her shoes she wore slippers. Yes, she drove to Junk 'N Stuff like this because she was way too lazy to look presentable like what Henry did. Henry was the only one wearing real clothes while Juniper and Charlotte wore their pajamas.

"Okay, why would Ray call us this late?" Juniper questions nervously as she paces with crossed arms. "I-I mean, maybe it's not that big of a deal. Maybe he, like, butt dialed us or something."

"Maybe. I don't know." Charlotte shakes her head. She stops pacing, pointing at Juniper and Henry. "But if it's because he had a bad dream again, I am not singing him a lullaby again."

"That's fair." Juniper nods. She stops pacing and a pout forms on her lips. "But it better be important enough to wake me up this late." She turned her attention to the elevator when she heard Jasper's scream. A few seconds later the door opened, revealing Jasper wearing curlers and an American themed onesie.

"I'm here!" Jasper announced, walking further into the Man Cave as his best friends stare at him with shock.

Henry looks at the girls with a wide-eyed look, pointing at Jasper. "That's an emergency." Juniper nodded in agreement.

Charlotte walks over to Jasper, furrowing her eyebrows. "Are you...Why would..." She stumbles over her words, having trouble saying what she wanted to say because she was in shock. "Curlers?!" She exclaimed.

"What," Jasper looks at her with furrowed eyebrows. "You thought my hair was naturally curly?"

Juniper shrugs. "I didn't 'cause you asked me to ask Piper if I could borrow her curling iron and then wanted me to give them to you to use 'cause you didn't have one."

Jasper looks at her with a glare. "You didn't have to say that out loud!"

Juniper just shrugs again and smiles sheepishly at him. "Hey, speaking of curling iron," She points at Jasper. "Piper told me she wanted it back by tomorrow. So technically, today."

Jasper nods. "Got it."

An alarm beeps a few seconds later, signaling the four best friends someone was coming down the tube. The four best friends now stood lined up next to each other and whether they meant to stand like it or not they stood next to each other from shortest to tallest. With Charlotte being in front and Jasper being in the back. Ray arrived and smiled at the four teens when the tube went up.

"Hey." He drags out the word as he walks over to them. He outstretches his arms. "Hello friends." He puts a hand on Charlotte's shoulder and then takes his hand off. "Welcome. Welcome."

Everyone responded with less enthusiasm and looked at him weirdly.

"Yeah."

"Yeah, hey."

"Uh, sure."

"Why are we here?" Juniper got right to the point, wanting to know why she was woken up from her sleep this late.

Ray points at her. "I was getting to that, Juni." He smiles at the four teens. "I wanna introduce you guys to someone very special."

An alarm beeps again, letting everyone know someone else is coming down the tube which confused Juniper. Juniper exchanged a confused look with her friends, all of them wondering who was coming down the tube. Juniper's eyes widened when an unfamiliar woman showed up. In her opinion, the woman looked like a villain with the dark leather outfit she wore and the dark styled makeup she wore.

Charlotte leans over to her friends, whispering to them, "Who's that?"

"I dunno." Henry replied in a whisper tone.

Ray walks over to the dark-haired woman with a dreamy smile, taking ahold of her hand, and the woman smiles back at him. "It looks like a woman." Henry noticed.

Jasper nods in agreement. "Yeah."

Juniper rolls her eyes, sharing an 'is he serious' expression with Charlotte. She glances at Henry, sarcastically commenting, "Thanks for stating the obvious, Hen."

Ray and the woman kiss before they walk over to the four teens. "Everyone..." Ray smiles at the four teens. "This is Gwen."

They wrap their arms around each other as Gwen looks at the four teens with a smile. "Hi guys."

Once again, everyone responded in a less enthusiastic tone, but this time they looked confused instead of looking at Ray weirdly.

"Uh, hey."

"What's up, Gwen?"

"Hey, Gwen."

Juniper crosses her arms and grumbles, "Yeah, hi." Yeah, she's still upset about waking up late just to meet a girl Ray was apparently dating.

Henry elbows Juniper to get her attention and the two best friends exchange a look. She nods in understanding. They both knew they needed to talk to Ray about having this woman (who they never seen before and know nothing about) in the mancave. "Hey, Ray, can we talk to you for a second?" Henry asked Ray, walking over to the brunette-haired man along with Juniper.

"Hold on, I'd rather really-"

"Yeah, I'd rather really be sleeping right now but here we are." Juniper interrupted Ray, pulling him away from Gwen along with Henry.

"Isn't she pretty?" Ray points at Gwen and smiles. "So pretty-"

"I'm so sorry," Henry apologizes to Gwen. Once he and Juniper successfully pull Ray over to the side of the room away from everyone, Henry grabs ahold of the collar of Ray's shirt. He looks at Ray with a glare, asking loudly, "Are you crazy?!"

"What?" Ray inquired.

Juniper huffs with annoyance. "Ray, out of all people you should know no strangers are allowed down here!"

"Oh," Ray shakes his head. He smiles over at Gwen, who was talking with Charlotte and Jasper. "Gwen's not a stranger."

"Well, how long have you known her?!" Henry asked Ray urgently.

"Almost three hours." Ray answered, leaning forward to lean on Henry.

Juniper's eyes widen. "Are you serious?!"

"Three hours?! What?!" Henry exclaimed, pushing Ray to stand back up on his feet.

"Ooh, that reminds me!" Ray outstretches his arms, smiling at Henry and Juniper. He puts a hand on Henry's shoulder and his other hand on Juniper's shoulder. "I gotta tell her that you're Kid Danger and you're Dash."

A panicked expression forms on Juniper's face and she feels her heartbeat increase. "No, no, no, no! You can't do that!"

Henry stares at Ray with panic when Ray started walking over to Gwen. "Wha-No, no, you can't tell-" Henry and Juniper shared a panicked expression and turned to face Ray when he called out to Gwen.

"Hey, honey!" Ray called out to Gwen.

Gwen turns to face him with a smile. "Yes?"

Ray stands between Henry and Juniper with his arms wrapped around their shoulders. "I bet you'll never guess who these loveable knuckleheads really are." The four teens chimed in their voice of disagreements, talking over each other.

Charlotte shakes her head, looking at Ray nervously. "Not a good idea."

"We're nobody." Henry nervously chuckled.

"Yeah, we're unimportant." Juniper agreed with Henry, having a nervous smile on her face.

Jasper points at Ray, looking at him with wide eyes. "Ray, don't!"

"Kid Danger and Dash!" Ray shouted despite the teen's protest.

"Ray," Juniper glares at Ray and she scolds him. "You had one job!"

Henry glares at Ray. "Dude!"

"It's okay!" Ray assures everyone. "Gwen even knows that I'm Captain Man." The four teens stared at him with shock and voiced their complaints, talking over each other once again. The only one (besides Ray) who seemed happy about this was Gwen.

Henry stares at him with wide eyes. "What?!"

"Ray," Juniper groans. "You are literally so stupid." She couldn't believe that Ray would tell this woman he met three hours ago that he's Capitan Man and then go on to tell her her and Henry's superhero identity. 

"Ray!" Charlotte scolded.

"What are you doing?!" Jasper yelled.

Ray takes his arms off of Henry's and Juniper's shoulders, walking over to Gwen and takes ahold of her hand. He and Gwen smile at each other. "And guess what else." Ray said. The teens stare at him nervously as he pulls Gwen close to him. "Gwen and I...We're getting married."

The four teens stare at him in disbelief. How could he possibly marry someone he met three hours ago? "Okay, but why does this remind me of Anna and Hans from Frozen?" Juniper mumbled.

Juniper glances across the room when she heard the secret door by the super computer open and saw Schwoz walk in. "Hey." Schwoz greets, looking at the iPad he held. "What's the..." He looks up, furrowing his eyebrows when he noticed Ray with an unfamiliar woman. "Happening?"

"Ray's getting married to a woman he met three hours ago!" Henry replied.

Schwoz looks at Ray with wide eyes, dragging out the word he says and putting emphasis on the word. "What?!"

Juniper bites her lower lip nervously. "And Ray told her that Henry and I are Kid Danger and Dash."

Schwoz glances at her with shock, saying 'what' the same way he did seconds ago. "What?! And-" He glances at Jasper beside him, furrowing his eyebrows when he saw the curlers on Jasper's head. "Why does Jasper have those things on his head?"

"Because his hair's not naturally curly." Charlotte responded.

Schwoz looks at her with a wide-eyed expression and then glances at Jasper with that same expression. "What?!"

(juniper's outfit for this part of the chapter)

Juniper was getting sick of Ray talking all lovey-dovey with Gwen on the phone. He's been like that for the past few minutes, moving all over the couch and not staying still with a dreamy look on his face.

"Alright, he's about to make me puke." Charlotte said and Juniper nods in agreement. Charlotte looks at Schwoz with furrowed eyebrows when he picked up a device that looked like a gun. "What's that?"

"We can use this to find out why Ray fell in love with that woman so quickly." Schwoz explained.

Charlotte and Juniper share a confused look and they both look back at Schwoz. "But how can-"

"Shhh-shoosh!" Schwoz shushes and walks further into the open area of the room with Charlotte and Juniper in tow. He looks at Ray, who now sat at the super computer, still on the phone with Gwen. "Ray! Come quick to me!"

"Yeah, I'll see ya in a few minutes. I love you. Muah." Ray ends the phone call and gets up from the chair he sat on. He puts his phone in his pocket, walking over to the others. "Okay, Schwoz, what is that you wanted me to-" His sentence was interrupted by his scream because Schwoz used the device on Ray and blue energy blasted out of the device. Ray stopped screaming when Schwoz stopped using it. Schwoz got out of the way as Ray started stumbling.

Juniper quickly gets out of the way so Ray wouldn't happen to fall on her. "Charlotte, catch him!" Schwoz told the dark-skinned girl.

Charlotte glances at Schwoz with wide eyes. "Me? Ah!" She yelped because she fell because of Ray falling on top of her. Juniper cringed, watching what happened.

Schwoz smiles, setting down the device on a moveable computer desk nearby. "Good job!" He walks over to the couch, gesturing with his hand for Charlotte to follow. "Now bring him over here to the sofa."

Charlotte grumbles, trying her best to push Ray off of him. "I got you, Char." Juniper quickly goes over to Charlotte, grabbing onto Ray's hand to pull him off of Charlotte. "Thanks, Juni." Charlotte smiled at her thankfully. 

Juniper groans, using all her strength to get Ray off Charlotte. "Ray, why you gotta be so heavy?" She whined. Yes, she's strong but Ray is much stronger and weighs more than she does. It was times like this she wished she had super strength.

Juniper manages to pull Ray off Charlotte enough where Charlotte can help her push Ray off the rest of the way. Once Charlotte was up, together the two girls pull Ray over and onto the couch which was a lot of work. Juniper sat down on the couch with a huff, leaning back against the back of the couch.

"What are you doing?" Charlotte asked Schwoz, sitting on the couch next to Juniper. Schwoz was putting on some kind of helmet device on Ray.

"I am connecting this device to Ray's brain, and converting his cerebral memory impulses into audio and video images, so we can see his memories when he first met the lah-day." Schwoz explained, speaking in a disgusted tone when he said 'lah-day'.

"When he first met the lah-day." Charlotte spoke in a mocking tone, standing up to walk over to the moveable computer desk nearby. Juniper chuckles lightly and she shared an amused smile with Charlotte. Juniper got up and stood beside Charlotte and Schwoz to check out the video.

Schwoz pulls the lever and a video pulls up on the screen. It was a video of Ray as Captain Man, stopping Gwen from stealing. Then Gwen offered some kind of muffins that made him fall in love with Gwen after he ate the muffin. Schwoz had covered both Charlotte's and Juniper's eyes when the video showed Gwen kissing Ray. The two girls rolled their eyes and swatted Schwoz's hand away. But the point is because of whatever was in the muffin made Ray fall in love with Gwen and stopped him from stopping her from being a criminal.

Schwoz turns off the video after it was done. "The muffin!" Charlotte shouted in realization, walking into the open area of the mancave.

"Yes!" Schwoz follows her, shouting as well. He stands beside her, looking at her with confusion. "What?"

"Wait," Juniper moves to stand by Charlotte and Schwoz, looking at Charlotte with wide eyes in realization. "That makes sense. Some kind of chemical must be in those muffins to make people fall in love with Gwen."

Charlotte nods, pointing at her in a sign of agreement. "Exactly!"

A beep noise is heard and the secret door opens. Jasper walks in, jamming and singing along to Celine Dion songs he was listening to with his headphones. "Jasper?" Charlotte walked over to him to stand in front of Jasper, looking at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"Huh?" Jasper takes out his headphones, turning off his music on his phone. Smiling, he looks at Charlotte. "Hey, what's up?"

Juniper stands beside Charlotte with Schwoz. "Weren't you upstairs with Henry?" Juniper asked him.

"Oh, I was," Jasper glances at her as he nods, putting his phone and headphones in the pocket of his jacket. "But Henry wanted to talk to Gwen so I went to the-"

"Gwen?!" Charlotte interrupted Jasper, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Oh, no. This-this is not good." Juniper panicked.

Schwoz looks at Charlotte and Juniper worriedly. "Ah geez!"

The three of them share a worried look. "Come on!" Charlotte gestured for them to go to the elevator and the three of them ran over to the elevator.

"Wait! I'm running too!" Jasper yelled, running after Charlotte, Juniper, and Schwoz.

Charlotte and Juniper were the first to Junk 'N Stuff, Jasper and Schwoz close behind them. "Henry, stop!" Juniper yelled when she got upstairs with the others and saw Henry eating one of the muffins Gwen made.

"Henry, don't swallow that muffin!" Charlotte shouted.

Henry looks at them with confusion, growing more confused as Charlotte reaches forward to and tries to take the muffin out of his mouth. "Henry, it's dangerous."

Schwoz hands Juniper a vacuum. "Use the suck duster!"

Juniper looks confused for a few seconds, but she nods and turns it on as Charlotte backs away to give her room. "Yeah, okay."

Henry's eyes widen and speaks with his mouth full of food, "What?!"

"It's a bad muffin from an evil lady!" Juniper explained, using the vacuum to get rid of the rest of the muffin and missing the glare that Gwen sent her way.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Gwen shouts, grabbing onto Henry's right arm and pulls him away from Juniper. "Let him eat the muffin!"

Juniper glares at her, grabbing onto Henry's left arm to pull him back to her. "Not happening evil lady!" It becomes a tug a war between Gwen and Juniper with Henry and it resulted in Henry stumbling backwards and a metal statue fell on his head. He fell to the ground, growing unconscious.

A worried look forms on Juniper's face. "Oh no."

"Wait, Juni!" Jasper points at Juniper. "You know mouth-to-mouth resuscitation right?"

Juniper glances at him with confusion. "Well, yeah, but how is that gonna help? He's knocked out, not drowning."

"Wait." She points at her friends when she remembered something. "I do have healing powers though."

"That'll take too long!" Jasper said in a whiney voice. "Just do the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation!"

Juniper glances at him weirdly since she knew for a fact that he knew her healing powers didn't take long to work, but she doesn't say anything about it and she knelt beside Henry. She went to begin to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation when Gwen grabbed her arm and started pulling her away.

"I need to kiss him!" Gwen yelled.

A disgusted expression forms on Juniper's face as she glances at the dark-haired woman. "You really are a villain if you wanna kiss a minor."

Gwen glares at her, continuing to pull the teen away from Henry despite Juniper's protests. "Dude, I'm his best friend so back off!" Juniper yelled out of frustration and anger. 

Thanks to Charlotte walking over and pulling Gwen off of Juniper, Gwen let go of Juniper which allowed the brunette-haired girl to preform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Out of the corner of her eye, Juniper saw Gwen regain her balance which made her frown slightly. She was hoping that Gwen would've fallen so she was a bit disappointed when the woman didn't. She turned back to Henry and preformed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. 

A few seconds later she saw Henry move and that was enough for her to stop. "Hen." Juniper sighed with relief, taking hold of his hand to help him stand and Schwoz had come over to help her get Henry back to his feet. 

Juniper was glad that the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation worked on bringing him out of unconsciousness. She wasn't exactly sure how that helped, but she wasn't complaining or questioning it anymore. "Are you okay?" She asked, looking at him with concern and then she furrowed her eyebrows. She could've sworn she saw his eyes turn a bright blue color before they returned back to his normal eye color.

"Y-Yeah," Henry stutters, looking at her with a dreamy expression. "I love you."

Juniper's eyes widen out of surprise (she didn't expect him to say that and look at her that way), ignoring the butterflies she felt swarming in her stomach. She had to remind herself that this was the love spell talking and not him, only part of her wondered if it was the real Henry talking since she knew he has feelings for her. She looks at Charlotte, Schwoz, and Jasper with a worried look. Now Henry was under a love spell just like Ray.

****

Okay, as much as Juniper loves being around Henry she doesn't want to be glued to his side twenty-four seven. But Henry wouldn't stop trying to hug her or be close to her in some way.

"Hen, just-" Juniper continues to do her best to try to get away from Henry trying to hug her. "Would you stop?" 

She huffed with annoyance when Henry was successful of wrapping his arms tightly around her waist and he didn't show of any signs of letting her go. It was times like this she wished she didn't have feelings for him because it was hard to act annoyed with a cute boy you like who was giving you a lot of attention. Actually...Now that she thought about it, it didn't sound that bad.

"Awe, you have such pretty hair." Henry complimented, petting Juniper's head.

Juniper looks at him with a small smile. "Thank you, but just-stop please." She swatted his hand away, causing him to just go back to wrapping his arm around her waist again so now she was trapped. 

"Henry!" Charlotte scolded.

"Great!" Gwen exclaims angrily, glaring at Charlotte. She gestures to Henry and Juniper as Henry laid his head on Juniper's shoulder. "See what you did?!"

Charlotte looks at her with offense. "What I did?"

"Yeah!" Gwen nodded, continuing to glare at Charlotte.

Charlotte points at herself and glares right back Gwen. "I'm not the one who's been boppin' around here with a big box of mystical muffins!"

"Wait," Jasper speaks up, glancing at everyone with confusion. "I'm confused."

"Gwen!" Juniper glanced over towards the back door when she heard Ray. She rolled her eyes when she saw Gwen acting all nice when Ray was around. 

Gwen opens her arms, signaling for Ray to come over to her as she smiles at him. "You know, I was just dreaming about the first time we met." Ray explained, taking ahold of both Gwen's hands with his. 

Gwen chuckles and smiles softly at him. "Hello, my sweet man."

"Ray," Charlotte tries getting Ray's attention. "No!"

"Okay, can't believe I'm saying this," Juniper manages to get Henry's off of her and quickly steps away from him. She had to admit although it was nice being close to him it was starting to get annoying...Again. "But quit it, Hen."

Henry follows her and smiles dreamingly at her. "Awe, I can't quit you."

Juniper mentally scolds herself when she felt her heart flutter when he said that and her face heat up. While she was distracted, Henry wraps his arms around her laid, trapping her arms underneath his and lays his head on her shoulder. Juniper glances at him and grumbles, "Hen, you're making it really hard for me to be annoyed with you."

"Ray!" Charlotte puts a hand on Ray's shoulder, turning him to look at her. "You don't really love her!"

Gwen shushes her, putting a finger on Ray's chin to make him look back at her. "Ray," Schwoz gets between Gwen and Ray. "She gave you a bad muffin that-" His voice gets muffled when Ray leaned forward. Ray wrapped his arms around Gwen, trapping Schwoz between them. Juniper would've cringed and felt bad for him but she had her own problem.

"She tricked you!" Charlotte yelled.

Schwoz finally manages to get away from Gwen and Ray. "Yeah!" He points at Henry. "And she tried to do it to Henry too!" 

"Except Henry fell in love with Juniper by mistake!" Charlotte adds, pointing at Henry, who lifts his head off Juniper's shoulder to smile at Charlotte and the others and waved at them before he laid his head back on Juniper's shoulder. Charlotte tilts her head to the side and chuckles when she remembered something. "Actually, he was already in love with her, but now he's, like, annoyingly clingy."

Despite the redness on Juniper's face after what Charlotte said about Henry already being in love with her, she glances at everyone and points at Charlotte in agreement. "Yeah, I agree with Char."

"Awe," Ray smiles at Gwen. "My baby's so smart." Gwen smiled at him and put her hands on his shoulders.

"More like your baby is so evil." Juniper muttered. 

Gwen runs her hands down Ray's arms as she asks, "Could you make all these people leave so we can be alone?"

Ray turns to face everyone. "Alright, everybody out!"

Everyone (besides Henry since he currently didn't care what was going on with being under the love spell) voices their words of disagreement, trying to convince Ray to get them to stay and that Gwen was evil, but nothing worked and they were kicked out.

Juniper, Jasper, and Charlotte decided to go to Henry's house to come up with why Gwen wanted to use those love muffins and how to get Ray and Henry back to normal. Juniper managed to get Henry off of her on the walk to his house. He did walk right beside her and held onto her hand, but it was a step up from him hugging onto her the whole time. 

When they got to Henry's house, Jasper opens the door and walks in first, leaving it open for his friends. "No, nope," Juniper pushes Henry's arms away from her when he tried to wrap his arms around her as they walk inside. "Stop."

"I love you." Henry said, frowning when Juniper ran into the house after she got away from him and he went after her.

"No, no, no," Charlotte stops Schwoz from coming inside. "You can't come in."

Schwoz furrows his eyebrows, pointing inside the house. "Why can't I go in there?"

 "'Cause what if Henry's parents are home?" Charlotte replied. 

"Bu-" Schwoz glances around him and looks at Charlotte with panic. "I can't stay out here by myself!"

Charlotte shrugs. "Sure you can."

"No!" Schwoz protests. "What if someone tries to take me?"

Charlotte glances at him with confusion. "Who would want you?" Schwoz looked at her with offense while Charlotte closed the door. Charlotte walked into the living room where Juniper sat on far end of the couch and Jasper sat the other end. 

"Okay, tell me why Gwen would use tainted muffins to get Ray to fall in love with her." Jasper said, looking at Charlotte and Juniper with confusion.

"'Cause think about it. If Captain Man and Kid Danger are so in love that they can't fight crime, then they can't stop Gwen from doing whatever evil things she wants to do." Charlotte explained while Henry walked over to sit on the back of the couch behind Juniper.

Juniper furrows her eyebrows. "That makes sense, but why would she not make eat a muffin as well?"

"Yeah," A confused look forms on Charlotte's face and her shoulders drop in defeat. "I don't know." She perks up when she thought of an idea, pointing at Juniper. "Maybe she did actually want Henry to act like he is now with you so you would be too distracted to fight her."

Juniper nods as she thinks that idea through. "Yeah, that could be it. But if that was the case then why did she act like she didn't want that to hap-" Her voice trails off when she suddenly felt hands massaging her shoulders. "Okay, but that actually feels good." She admitted, not expecting Henry to give good messages. She didn't have to look up to know it was Henry.

Charlotte rolls her eyes and puts her hands on her hips. Juniper shakes her head, trying to get back on track. "I need to focus, yeah." She glances at Charlotte and Jasper, doing her best to ignore the message she was getting although it was hard because she was starting to forget what they were talking about. "So I think we just need to figure out-" She was confused and a little weirded out at first when Henry began messaging her face until she got used to this. She couldn't help but lean her head back on the back of the couch. "Even though this is weird it kinda feels good."

After a few moments of silence goes by, it was interrupted by the angry yell of Henry's little sister, Piper. "Juniper!" Piper shouted, dragging out Juniper's name she as she ran down the stairs. 

Juniper sits up abruptly, causing Henry to stop messaging her. Juniper was startled by the sudden yell of her name and she was confused as to why Piper sounded mad at her. She looks at Piper with furrowed eyebrows. "What's the matter, Piper?"

Piper stands in front of her, looking at her with a glare. "Where is my curling iron?!"

Juniper grimaces when she remembered she forgot it at her house. Earlier that morning Jasper had dropped off the curling iron at her house when he was done with it and with everything going on she forgot to bring it with her. "I'm sorry, Piper. I forgot to bring it with me." She smiles apologetically at Piper. "I promise I'll bring it back tomorrow."

"You said you would bring it back to me today and guess what," Piper outstretches her arms out of frustration. "It's today!"

Henry stands up, glaring at his sister. "Hey! Don't you yell at my Juniper." Juniper's face turned a bright pink color when he said that and butterflies swarmed in her stomach.

Piper frowns, gesturing to Juniper. "She forgot my girly curly!" She reached forward, pulling out some of Juniper's eyelashes, causing the teen to pull away and yelp with pain.

Juniper huffs with annoyance, standing up and looks at Piper with a glare. "Piper, I don't think it was necessary pulling out some of my eyelashes!"

"Piper!" Henry shouts angrily. "You just hurt someone I love!"

"Yeah, well who cares?" Piper scoffs and reaches forward to grab Juniper's shoulders. She starts shaking Juniper, ignoring her brother telling her to stop, and she glares at Juniper. "Next time remember to give me my curling iron on time!" She then did something no one saw coming. She threw Juniper over the couch. 

Juniper screams as she was thrown over the couch, not missing the fact that Henry screamed 'no'. She groans in pain once she landed on the ground. "You are freakishly strong." Piper then ran up the stairs while Jasper went over to help Juniper up. 

"You okay?" Jasper asked her, looking at her with concern.

"Yeah," Juniper sends a thankful smile to Jasper for helping her up. "Just can't believe I got thrown over a couch by an eleven year old."  She rubs her right arm that she landed on and frowns. Since she landed on her right side her whole right side hurt. "And my right side is gonna be sore." Jasper sympathetically smiled at her and patted her left shoulder for comfort.

Juniper turns her attention to Henry after seeing him stumbling backwards out of the corner of her eye. She shares a worried look with Jasper when Henry fell to the ground. The two of them along with Charlotte, quickly went over to Henry. "Henry, are you okay?" Charlotte asked worriedly and helped Henry up to his feet.

"Oh, yeah." Henry nods. "Yeah, I think so." He glances at Juniper. "Oh, June-"

Juniper raises her hands in front of her. "As much as I love your hugs, please no more hugging."

Henry furrows his eyebrows with confusion. "What?" 

"What do you mean, 'what'?" Charlotte ask with confusion laced in her voice, turning Henry to face her. "Wait, aren't you in love with Juniper?"

Henry's face turns pink and he stumbles over his words. "W-Well, I...I mean, yeah, but, like-"

Juniper ignores the blush covering her own her face and glances at Henry, interrupting him, "She means do you wanna be glued to me, basically like annoyingly clingy?"

"Oh," Henry speaks in realization. He shakes his head. "Then in that case, no."

"Okay." Charlotte nods and she smiles. "Okay, this is awesome!"

"I'm still confused." Jasper chimes in, glancing at his friends with a confused expression. "What is awesome?"

"I think 'cause when Piper was harassing Juniper it made Henry feel really angry." Charlotte responded.

Henry shrugs. "So?"

"So...When you feel strong emotions, your body releases chemicals into your brain." Charlotte explained.

"Wait," Juniper's eyes widen in realization. "You're onto something here."

Jasper must've realized it too because he then said, "Oh, okay, so like, when Henry felt anger it drove out his feelings of love?"

 Charlotte nods. "Yeah, I think that's what happened."

"And now we just gotta get Ray mad enough that his love for Gwen will go away." Juniper concluded.

"Well, but, how are you gonna get him mad enough?" Charlotte asked.

"You could pick a fight with him!" Jasper suggested.

"But I just got thrown over a couch by an eleven year old!" Juniper whines. She pouts and crosses her arms. "How am I gonna fight a thirty-five year old indestructible man?"

"I think he was talking to me." Henry assures her. He looks at Jasper with a smile, pointing at him. "And I'm onboard with that idea." He looks back at Juniper with wide eyes when he realized what Juniper said. "Wait, did my sister really throw you over the couch?"

"Yeah," Juniper waves a dismissive hand. "But it's fine, I guess." Henry didn't agree with her, but he didn't say anything and made a mental note to talk with his sister later. His sister better have a logical reason to throw his best friend over a couch.

"Juni, you could definitely take on Ray in a fight." Charlotte reassured Juniper, earning a smile from the brunette-haired girl. Charlotte smiles back at her before she turns to face the boys with a look of annoyance. "And oh, come on! Ray could kill you in a fight. You can't pick a fight with Ray."

Henry shrugs. "Well, one of us is gonna have to do it."

"Not it." The two girls and Jasper spoke at the same time, raising their hands. When the four best friends get outside on the porch, Juniper was surprised to see some boys trying to take Schwoz.

"I'm not something you can just take!" Schwoz yelled, struggling to get out of the boy's grip. The four teens all scared off the group of kids.

Charlotte and Jasper yell out, "Hey!"

"Hey, hey, hey," Henry calls out to the boys, ushering the group of boys to go away. "Get out of here!"

"You guys must have a boring life if it brought you guys to stealing a man off a porch!" Juniper exclaimed at the group of boys who let go of Schwoz.

"Come on." Charlotte gestured for the boys to leave.

"Pick on someone your own size!" Henry added as the group of boys started to run away.

"Delinquents!" Jasper shouted at the group of boys.

Schwoz stands up, glaring at he group of boys running away. "Jerks!" 

Henry pats his shoulder for comfort. "C'mon," He glances at everyone. "Let's get to the Man Cave."

"June." 

Juniper stops walking, turning to face Henry with a small smile when she heard him say the nickname he only used. "Yeah?"

Henry walks over to stand by her, apologetically smiling at her. "Just wanted to apologize if I made you uncomfortable. I never want you to feel uncomfortable because of me." 

"It's okay. And I don't think you could never make me uncomfortable." Juniper assured him, her smile widening. She thought it was sweet Henry apologized even though he didn't need to.

Henry smiles brightly at her. "Good."

A/N ugh I literally love junry so much. It was fun writing this one & the next one tbh
