( season 3: episode 4 - mouth candy; part two )

Arguing ensues at the candy store called Mouth Candy. Juniper was there with Ray and Henry, arguing with the owner, Jasper, and Mitch. 

"One at a time!" Ray shouted over everyone.

"Alright, alright." Henry exclaimed, getting everyone to stop talking. 

"Woof." Mitch said and everyone looked at him weirdly.

"ow, you two wait here while Kid Danger, Dash, and I go interrogate the...Suspect." Ray spoke.

"Yeah, whatever his name is." Henry added and Juniper nodded.

"They call him the Hot Broth Burglar." Mitch explained.

Jasper picks up a box of candy and began throwing it at him angrily. "No they don't!"

"Dude, calm down!" Juniper's eyes widen and she grabbed his arm, pulling him back as Ray and Henry stopped him from going any farther.

"You see that? You see that? Do you see his violent nature?!" 

With a glare in his eyes, Jasper runs at him again. Juniper quickly grabs his arm and this time Henry and Ray join in on pushing him back away from him. "Hey-hey, put down the jellybeans." Henry told him.

Jasper points at him. "But he-"

"Hey!" Henry said in a stern voice. "Put the jelly beans down."

With an upset expression, Jasper puts down the jelly beans. Juniper, Henry, and Ray bring Jasper off to the side, no one noticing Mitch sneaking some candy into his pocket. "Alright, did you really try to steal that candy boot?" Henry asked Jasper.

"'Course I didn't!" Jasper whispers-yells. He points at Mitch and glares at him. "Mitch framed me!"

"Ah okay. Crime solved-Now can we go do our podcast?"

"Nope." Juniper said the same time Henry said, "Wait." Henry grabbed Ray's arm, stopping him from leaving.

"What am I gonna do?"  Jasper inquires. "Mr. Sugarman wants to put me in jail!"

"Okay, relax-you're not goin' to jail." Henry reassured him.

"We'll just make him think you are." Ray explained.

Ray grabs Jasper's arm as the four of them walked back over to the owner and Mitch. "Alright, sir. Kid Danger, Dash, and I are gonna take this rotten curly-haired misfit to jail."

"Yep." Juniper nodded, crossing her arms as she stood by Henry.

"That's right." Henry said.

"Ha!" Mitch laughed.

Mr. Sugarman nods. "Good."

Just as the four of them turn around to head out the door, two police officers walk into the store. "Hey, Captain Man." The male police officer greeted.

"kid Danger. Dash." The female police officer added, smiling at the three of them.

Juniper's eyes widen slightly, not expecting police officers to be there. "Uh, hello." Ray nervously said.

"Officers." Henry smiled nervously.

"We were just walkin' by and we saw you guys in here." The male police office explained. 

"Need our help?" The female police officer asked.

"Thank you," Juniper smiles politely. "But we got it from here."

Before the four of them could walk away, the male police officer speaks up. "Wait a minute...I've seen this kid before."

The female police officer's eyes widen in realization. "Oh yeah-Didn't he get arrested last year at Swellview Park?"

"Right." The male police officer nods. "For Usin' the ladies' bathroom." He shakes his head. "That's messed up, man."

"No, it was only 'cause my friend's little sister-"

"Hey, and didn't you also get arrested last Christmas in City Hall for wearin' more than one hat simultaneously?" The female police officer asked, interrupting Jasper who was trying to defend himself. 

Out of the corner of her eye, Juniper noticed movement. Her eyes widen when she caught Mitch putting in some candy in his pocket. She had a feeling Jasper was telling the truth that Mitch framed him, and now she knows for sure he was telling the truth. 

"Well-"

"And today, he tried to steal this!" Mr. Sugarman walked over to where his candy boot was displaced and pointed at it. 

"That's right, he did!" Mitch chimed in, causing Juniper to roll her eyes.

"No, I-I didn't!" Jasper stutters. "I was just holding it!"

"Well, you know what they say." The male police officer spoke.

The female police officer nods. "He who holds it, stolds it."

Mr. Sugarman and Mitch outstretch their arms, looking at Jasper with an 'who cares' expression. 

"Okay, somebody get me a dictionary and show me the word 'stolds'!" Jasper yelled angrily. 

"Just calm down, alright?" Juniper spoke softly, pulling Jasper back since he had walked forward. Him being angry didn't help his case. 

"Okay, okay, look, officers, no worries." Henry tries to reassures the officers they got this handled. "We got this. We're gonna take him to jail."

Juniper nods along with Ray. "Yeah." Ray said. 

"You three do so much to help this city." The male police officer smiled.

"No, it's not a problem." Juniper shook her head.

"Yeah, it's fine." Henry agrees. "It's honestly fine, officers."

"Let us get this one for ya." The female police officer suggested, taking Jasper out of Henry's and Ray's grasp, causing them to panic.

"No, no, it's on the way!" Henry exclaimed.

Juniper watches with wide eyes as the police officers began handcuffing Jasper. "Captain Man, Kid Danger, Dash! They're cuffing me!" Jasper shouted worriedly. Juniper quickly followed them outside with Ray and Henry, trying to convince the police officers that she, Henry, and Ray could take Jasper as Henry and Ray tried to stop them as well. But it was too late and the police officers left with Jasper.

The three of them looked at each other worriedly and then looked at Mr. Sugarman and Mitch, who quickly stood up, putting his hand on his hip with an awkward smile on his face. Juniper narrowed her eyes at him, staring at him suspiciously. Mitch gave Mr. Sugarman a thumbs up and Mr. Sugarman smiled and pointed at him.

Juniper was now at Henry's house along with Charlotte as they tried to figure out how to get Jasper back. Henry was currently on the phone with Jasper's mom. "Hey, Mrs. Dunlop. Jasper's going to be spending the night at my place tonight. Oh, you don't care?" A weird expression was oon his face as he looked at his phone when the call ended. He shook his head, glancing at his friends.

"Okay, how are we gonna get Jasper out of jail?" He inquired.

"I don't know." Charlotte shook her head.

"Well, it's his third strike." Henry reminds his friends worriedly as he puts his phone in his pocket. "And if they convict him he could get twenty years!" 

"Then we better figure out a way to prove that Mitch is the one who tried to steal that stupid candy boot." Charlotte said.

"I know he did." Juniper speaks up. "I saw some steal some candy." She sighs, sunning her hand through her brunette hair. "But without any proof, no one will believe us." She glanced at her watch the same time Henry glanced at his when their watches beeped.

"Ah, it's Ray." Henry noticed.

With her hands on her hips, Charlotte looked at him like she didn't care. "Yeah, okay."

Juniper chuckles and she glances at Henry. "You answer yours and I'll just join you." 

"Okay." Henry nodded and as Juniper stood behind henry, he flipped open his watch and a small hologram of Ray appeared.

Ray smiles at Henry and Juniper. "Guys, I got some good news."

"You figured out a way to get Jasper out of jail?" Juniper smiled.

"Better." Ray points at them. "Got some new ideas for our podcast."

Juniper's smile falls and she shakes her head. "Ray, we don't care about the podcast right now."

Henry pinches the bridge of his noies. "Okay, Ray, it's the middle of then night, we got school in the morning, and one of my best friends is lookin' at a possible twenty years in jail."

"Y'know, I'm startin' to feel like I care way more about this podcast than you guys do." Ray commented.

Henry rolls his eyes. "Oh, really? It's probably because you do." He then ended the call by flipping the top of his watch back over. He glances at Charlotte with annoyance. "You hear that? All he cares about is recording his dumb podcast."

"Well, I think I got somethin' better for you to record." Charlotte smiled.

Henry crosses his arms, raising his eyebrows. "What?"

"Mitch." Charlotte replied.

Henry furrows his eyebrows. "You want us to do a podcast with Mitch?"

Juniper rolls her eyes, hitting the back of his head. "No, dummy." He mutters the word 'ow' and winces, rubbing the back of his head. "She wants us to record Mitch admitting he stole candy."

"Exactly." Charlotte points at Juniper with a smile. "One of you wear a wire and then at school you casually start a conversation with Mitch, get him to admit that he's the one who really tried to steal the candy boot. Then we take the recording to the cops and boom, Jasper's out."

"Great plan." Juniper smiled.

"Thanks." Charlotte grinned.

"But h-how am I gonna get Mitch to admit it?" Henry asked.

"Dude," Charlotte smiles. "You're like a million times smarter than he is." 

Henry smiles at her. "You really think so?"

Charlotte glances at him, her smile faltering as she looks at him. "Yeah." She dragged out the word and her response didn't sound very believable. 

Henry's smile falls and he furrowed his eyebrows. He looks at Juniper. "You think I'm smarter than Mitch?"

Juniper shrugs. "Eh." A hurt look forms on Henry's face and Juniper giggles a bit, playfully nudging him. "I'm kidding. You're totally smarter than he." Henry smiles brightly at her. "Although sometimes you can kinda be dumb." 

"Very true." Charlotte agreed.

While Henry was at school the next day, Juniper and Charlotte hid in Ray's van along with Ray nearby. "Hey...Can you guys hear me okay?" Henry spoke into the earpiece.

"Yeah, Kid, we hear you." Ray replied.

"We're in a van across the street." Charlotte explained.

"Okay cool." Henry commented.

"Just get as close to Mitch as you can, and try to get him to admit that he's the one that stole hte fried foot." Ray spoke. 

After sharing a weird look, Charlotte and Juniper looks at Ray weirdly. "The candy boot." Charlotte corrected.

Ray rolls his eyes. "Oh, it matters?"

"Okay, here I go." Henry said.

"So, this is your van?" Charlotte questioned, glancing round.

Juniper looks around the van. It looked like a normal van, expect it looked pretty old. The table had duct tape on it, most likely keeping it together, and there were different equipement in the van "It looks old."

"It's my old van. I have  way better one." Ray smiles widely. "The Man Van."

"Of course you named it that." Juniper chuckled.

"Well, where is the Man Van?" Charlotte asked Ray.

"Oh, Schwoz took it go see Charlie Puth." Ray shrugged.

Juniper's eyes widen and she gasps. "He went to go see Charlie Puth and he didn't invite me?"

"Really?" Charlotte looks at Ray with surprise. "Schwoz is a Puther?" She looks at Juniper, raising her eyebrows. "You're a Puther too?"

"Of course." Juniper grins. "I love his songs."

"Oh yeah, big Puther." Ray responded to Charlotte.

As the three of them conversed, they didn't even realize Henry had gotten Mitch to admit he tried stealing the candy boot. "You guys, I did it! I did it! Did you hear?" Henry questioned.

"I just think that Schwoz would be ore into music like Coldplay or some band like that." Charlotte admitted.

"Oh, nah, he's been into Puth for like way before it was cool-"

"Look, guys, did you hear him admit it?" Henry inquired, interrupting Ray's sentence. "Hello? Can you guys hear me?"

"Wait, what?" Juniper takes off her headphones back on along with Charlotte and Ray since they all had taken their headphones off.  She raises her eyebrows. "You said he admit it?'

"Yeah, did you guys record it?" Henry asked her.

Juniper grimaces. "No, sorry. We were talking about Schwoz's music taste."

"The girls forgot to hit record." Ray chimes in, earning a glare from Charlotte and Juniper and Juniper even hit his shoulder which made him wince. "Sorry." He apologizes to Henry. "Just go get him to say it again."

"Okay, fine, but you press record, you press it right now." Henry demanded. 

Ray presses the record button. "Recording."

"Thank you." Henry spoke.

While Ray gets some water from his canteen, Charlotte picks up something she found by her. Juniper grimaces when she looked at it. "Uh, what is this?" Charlotte asked Ray.

Ray glances at it. "Uh...That was either a banana or a hot dog." 

"Gross." Juniper muttered.

"Ew!" Charlotte said, throwing it away. She then got some hand sanitizer from her purse and put some on her hands. 

Mitch was about to confess he tried stealing the boot when suddenly a loud high-pitch screamed was heard, causing Charlotte, Juniper, and Ray to quickly take off their headphones since it was blaring in their ears. The three of them fell off their chairs, startled because of the sudden yell. The trio got back up, fixing their headphones that were half way on their head. 

"Henry? What's happening?" Charlotte inquired.

"Yeah, this isn't gonna work, that's what happening!" Henry replied, raising his voice since he was frustrated.

"Hey, Kid." Ray chimes in. "You know what'll make you feel a lot better?"

"What?" Henry questioned.

Ray smiles. "Doin' a podcast."

Juniper groans in annoyance while Charlotte rolls her eyes. "Okay, listen Ray! I'm not doin' a podcast with you or anyone else until Mitch confesses and my friend, Jasper, is out of jail!" Henry shouted angrily.

"Please?" Ray said.

"No!" Henry exclaimed.

"Alright, fine!" Ray raised his voice, setting his headphones on the table angrily.

Juniper smiles. "Hey, you didn't throw them this time! That's progress."

Ray rolls his eyes and gets his gum. "Keep recording."

"What are you gonna do?" Charlotte asked him, furrowing her eyebrows.

Juniper looks at Ray with confusion, wondering why he was going to go in as Captain Man. "Do you need me to go with you?'

"No, I got it." Ray reassures her and she nods in response. Ray puts a piece of gum in his mouth. "I'm gonna do what I should've done a long time ago."

"You mean clean this van?" Charlotte gestured to the dirty van. 

Juniper glances around the van and nods in agreement. "Yeah, it could use some cleaning."

Ray looked back at her and Charlotte with a glare before he left.

"Charlotte, Juniper, you guys get that?" Henry asked after Ray got Mitch to admit what he did on recording.

"Yeah." Juniper smiled.

"Yep," Charlotte nods. "We got it!"  She and Juniper then shared a smile and fist bumped.

"Now...I've got a podcast to do." Ray speaks. "And everything I need for that podcast better be there in the next ten minutes."
