( season 3 : episode 3 - scream machine; part two )

The next day Juniper, Henry, Ray, and Schwoz quickly ran into the building where The Gizmo Show was being held with the machine Schwoz created.

Ray and Juniper threw open the doors while Henry and Schwoz pushes in the machine with a sheet covering it. "Comin' through!" Ray shouted, pushing past the people near the door.

"Get out of the way, people!" Juniper exclaimed, trying to get people to move so they all could get past.

At her area with Jasper, Charlotte smiles excitedly and hits Jasper's chest repeatedly. "Ooh, here they are! Here they come! Here they come!"

"Hey!" Jasper whines, grabbing her hand to pull it away from him. "I'm tender here." Charlotte rolled her eyes and anxiously watched her friends bring over the machine Schwoz made.

When they reach Charlotte, they're all out of breath from running inside. "Where have you guys been?!" Charlotte inquired.

"We got here as fast we could." Henry answered.

"Yeah, sorry we're late." Juniper apologized, leaning on the machine to try to catch her breath and get her heart rate to slow down.

"We wanted to stop and get ice creams." Schwoz spoke in a upset tone.

"But Henry and Juniper wouldn't let us." Ray mockingly said, rolling his eyes.

Juniper and Henry share an annoyed expression. "'Cause we had to be here at a specific time and if we got ice creams we would be even more late than we are." Juniper spoke, looking at the two men with annoyance.

"But okay, we'll get ice creams later!" Henry said, raising his arms out of frustration. "Jeez."

"Oh, man, here come the judges." Charlotte notices. She looks at her friends, gesturing them to move the table. "Quick, move that table out of the way so we can put my Scream Machine here!"

Henry, Jasper, and Schwoz moves the table off to the side as Juniper and Ray pushes the machine in place of where the table used to be. Ray threw the sheet off the machine and the sheet landed on Schwoz, causing him to stumble a bit.

Charlotte looks at the machine with furrowed eyebrows. "Where is my project?" She points at the machine. "What is that?!"

Henry wraps his arm around her shoulders. "Okay, listen, listen, listen. I gotta tell you something. We lost the plans for your Scream Machine."

"You lost them?!" Charlotte raises her voice, looking at her friends with a glare. Henry, Ray, and Schwoz shushed her when some heads were turned their way because of Charlotte's outburst. Henry gets his arm off of her as she points at them, demanding, "Okay, never tell a woman to shhhhh!"

"Okay." Henry raised his hands in defense.

"We're sorry." Ray apologized.

Schwoz sighs, putting a hand on his hip. "So many rules."

"Look, Schwoz tried to recreate your Scream Machine-"

"But without the plans he couldn't get it to work in time." Ray finished Henry's sentence.

"And honestly it was kinda Ray's fault 'cause what he did made the wind blow the plans away!" Juniper spoke, sending a small glare to Ray.

Ray threw his arms up out of frustration. "I was hot so I opened the top of my car!"

"When people get hot in the car people normally turn the cool air on and not open up the roof of the car!" Juniper snapped at him and the two of them glared at each other as they started to bicker.

Henry rolls his eyes and looks at them both. "Alright, both of you just calm down!" Ray and Juniper grew quiet, looking away from each other with annoyed expressions and crossed arms.

"Well, what the jack is that thing?!" Charlotte questioned, pointing at the machine with furrowed eyebrows.

"It's a little project that I've been working on," Schwoz smiles. "So I finished it for you!"

"Well, I can't pretend I made this!" Charlotte pointed out.

"Yeah, sure you can." Henry assures her. He points at the little disco ball on the bottom of the laser. "See, it's got your little disco ball from the other one, remember this one?" Juniper glanced at Ray when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye and chuckled quietly at seeing him dancing. Ray was truly a dork.

Charlotte grabs the disco ball and threw it to the other side of the room, causing Ray to gasp dramatically. "This isn't even my work!" Charlotte sighs. "I don't even know what it does!"

Henry tried to explain what it does, but then realized he doesn't even know what it does. Schwoz was going to explain it, but then the judges started walking over to them.

"Okay, next."

Juniper stood by Henry and across from Ray as the judges walk over to the group. "Ah, yes." One of the judges who had a microphone was speaking and she stood next to Charlotte. "Here we have a young lady who's no stranger to second-place ribbons."

The smile fell off of Charlotte's face. The woman turns to face Charlotte with a smile. "How are you, Charlotte?" She put the microphone in front of Charlotte for her to speak into.

"Oh, y'know..." Charlotte nervously chuckles. "Good...Little nauseous."

"Great. You wanna tell us about your project?" The woman asked.

Charlotte glances at the machine then back at the woman. "I'd rather not."

"Okay. Well then, would you like to demonstrate your gizmo?" The woman questioned.

"Yeah, okay." Charlotte shrugged.

Ray steps forward. "Yeah, 'cause like, what else would she do? Not demonstrate it?" He laughed and his laughter died down when he noticed no one else was laughing or even looked amused.

"Good one." Henry said just for Ray's sake and Ray went to stand by Henry, Juniper, and Schwoz.

Charlotte looks at the woman judge nervously. "Uh, well, I should probably start by, uh..." Henry subtly points at the remote. "Turning it on." Charlotte picks up the yellow device that was connected to the machine by a chord. "And to do that I just...I, uh...I push this..." Her friends started fake coughing, shaking their heads and saying 'no' between their fake coughs. "I mean, I pull this..." Her friends did the same thing again. "Actually, I turn this knob..."

She smiles with relief when her friends nod and say 'yes' between their fake coughs. She turns the knob and the machine lights up blue. "And next, I, uh..."

Her friends all say 'tap' through their fake coughs next. "I tap the screen." Charlotte said, tapping the screen, causing the machine to work.

A laser beam shoots out of the laser, hitting Jasper who had been on his phone this whole time. Jasper disappears and then reappears on the other side of the room thanks to the machine. A shocked expression formed on Juniper's face as she watched. She had no idea what this machine did, but she was shocked and impressed that this machine Schwoz made could teleport people.

Everyone was watching with shocked expressions, not believing what they saw. Jasper turns around with furrowed eyebrows. He points at the spot he stood seconds ago. "Wasn't I just over there?"

"Good lord! Did your device just transport that boy from there to there?" The woman judge spoke into the mic with disbelief.

"Y-Yeah," Charlotte stutters. "Seems so."

"Should we just stop this competition now? Because Charlotte's device isn't just the best gizmo at this show..." The woman judge walks over to point at the machine. "This is mankind's most impressive invention of all time!"

Schwoz smiles proudly as his friends smile at him. Everyone claps and cheers for Charlotte. "No, no, no, no, it's not so great!" Charlotte quickly said while the applause and cheers died down. She points at a pancake flipper. "Look at that pancake flipper! I wish I'd thought of that!"

"Are you kidding? You've created instant teleportation. This technology could end the need for cars, airplanes, shipping. It could help preserve the Earth's entire ecosystem." The woman judge smiles at Charlotte. "Charlotte, you're going to be the most famous person on this planet."

"Someone call the government!" A man suggested.

"Call Fox News!" A woman chimed in.

"She's gonna win the Nobel Prize!" A man said.

Juniper looks at Charlotte with concern upon seeing how nervous and worried she looked. She then watched as Charlotte went to go hide underneath a table. She felt bad for Charlotte. This machine wasn't her work and now she might be becoming famous for something she didn't do.

"Yeah!" Ray cheers. "Take that, China!"

"Well, Charlotte, you must be very proud that-" The woman judge looks confused upon seeing Charlotte wasn't standing by her anymore. She looks all around. "Where'd she go?"

Everyone (besides Juniper since she knew where she was) start looking all around the room for Charlotte. "Oh, there she is!" Jasper exclaims, pointing at Carlotte hiding under the table. "Hiding under the table!"

Charlotte was pulled out from under the table and put on someone's shoulders while everyone started chanting her name.

"Okay, thank you! Thank you, I need to get down now." Charlotte said and the man put her down. The chanting stopped and everyone went back to what they were doing before, some even went over to the machine Schwoz made to check it out. Charlotte gestured for her friends to follow her and they do.

"Hey, kid, what's this thing you built?" Charlotte asked a boy standing by his invention that looked like some kind of booth.

"It's a soundproof booth." The boy responded.

"Cool." Charlotte turns to her friends. "In here." She opens the door, walking in first and her friends follow her despite the boy's attempts of trying to stop them.

The boy then tried to get them out of the booth, banging on the door. Henry opens the door, zapping him with his watch which causes the boy to fall unconscious. "Yeah, that's my gizmo." Henry commented before closing the door.

Juniper leans against the wall between Henry and Jasper. "Alright, I need you guys to listen!" Charlotte spoke.

"I know what you're going to say, so...You're welcome." Schwoz smiled.

Charlotte stares at him with annoyance. "I'm not welcome! Everyone out there thinks I'm some kind of scientific genius who just created the most important invention in the history of the world!"

"Once again, your'e welcome." Schwoz commented and then Charlotte flicked his forehead.

"Owie!" Schwoz winced.

"People are calling the government, and Fox News!"

"So?" Schwoz said.

"They're fair." Ray spoke.

"And balanced." Henry added.

"Oh, and what happens when they wanna know everything about me?" Charlotte asks, glancing at her friends worriedly. "People are gonna find out that I work at JunkNStuff...And then reporters are gonna come poking around, wantin' to talk to me, and then how long before they figure out that's where Captain Man, Kid Danger, and Dash work?"

"Yeah, that's a very good point." Juniper nods. She glances at Henry and Ray worriedly. "We can't let that happen."

Ray nods in agreement. "This is a problem. We need to make it go away."

"How?" Henry questions. "I mean, everyone out there just saw her device work."

"Then we need to get rid of it." Ray spoke.

Schwoz looks disappointed. "My machine?!"

"Yes, 'your machine'." Ray told him, speaking in the same kind of accent Schwoz but did it mockingly.

"Okay, dude, there's like a billion people out there." Henry reminds him. "How are we going to get rid of it?"

"Easy. All we need is a plan."

Everyone looks at Ray, waiting for him to tell them his plan. "Well?" Juniper speaks up, getting annoyed that he was waiting so long to say anything because they don't have much time to waste. "Do you have a plan or not?"

Ray inhales, looking at her with annoyance. "I don't know, Juniper, isn't it enough that I've pointed out that a plan is what we need?"

"Obviously no." Juniper sassily replied.

"I have an idea!" Charlotte announced and Juniper was relieved because one, Charlotte had a plan, and two Charlotte saying something stopped Juniper and Ray from arguing. 

Ray leans over to her. "Is it a plan?"

"Yes." Charlotte nodded.

Ray snaps his fingers, smirking at Juniper. "Ha!" Juniper rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"All we need is Captain Man, Kid Danger, Dash," Charlotte points at Jasper. "And a criminal."

Furrowing his eyebrows, Jasper points at himself. "You want me to be a criminal?"

Juniper raises her eyebrows at him, putting a hand on her hip. "Why would she point at you when she said that if she didn't want you to be a criminal?"

Charlotte nods in agreement. "Yeah, will you?"

"Do I have to whack someone?" Jasper questioned.

"No." Charlotte shook her head.

Jasper grins. "I'll do it anyway!"

While Charlotte was bombarded with questions by everyone, Henry, Ray, and Juniper had transformed into their superhero suit. The three of them were currently hiding behind the welcome table, waiting for their cue to get out of their hiding spot. Juniper rolled her eyes when she spot Ray combing his hair as he looked in a hand mirror he had.

"Can you not look at yourself right now?" Juniper asks Ray. "We have more important things to do."

Ray stops combing his hair, looking at her with offense. "Okay, fine." He sassily replies, glaring at Juniper when she mocks him. "I stopped looking at myself." He looked back at his mirror and continues to comb his hair.

"For, like, one second." Juniper scoffed.

Henry watches Juniper's and Ray's interaction with an amused smile on his face before he calls Jasper, peeking out behind the table to look for him. "Jasper, where are you?"

"I'm right outside." Jasper answers. "I found a great disguise in the dumpster!"

"Okay, just get in here and follow the plan." Henry said.

"Can I whack someone?" Jasper inquired excitedly.

"No, you can't whack anyone." Henry told him before he hung up the phone. 

"There's Schwoz." Juniper noticed, pointing at Schwoz, who had made his way to the open area near the circle of people surrounding Charlotte. Ray and Henry looked at Schwoz just as Schwoz gives them the signal and Ray returned the signal.

The back doors open suddenly and Jasper runs in wearing a cardboard mask and the disguise he got from the dumpster. He yells, running towards the group of people which caused them to scream and back away from Charlotte. 

"Quick! They're after me! I need a place to hide!" Jasper exclaimed.

"Ahhh!" Schwoz pretends to act scared, raising his hands up in defense. "It's that bad guy! Somebody do something!" That was when Henry, Ray, and Juniper got out of their hiding places, standing in front of everyone. They stood next to each other in a fighting stance.

"I'll do something." Ray announced, pointing forward awkwardly.

"And I'll do something, also." Henry added, pointing forward just like Ray.

Henry and Ray glances at Juniper, the two expecting her to say what they did. Juniper glances at them with furrowed eyebrows. "What?" She nods in realization and shrugs. "Oh. And I'll do something too, I guess."

"Dad, look!" Piper excitedly said. "It's Captain Man, Kid Danger, and Dash!"

Everyone cheers for the two heroes and sidekick. "Hey, what do I do now?" Jasper whispered to Schwoz.

"Run to Charlotte's table." Schwoz replied back to him in a whisper.

"Right." Jasper nods in realization. He looks around at everyone. "Ha! This man can't stop me!" He then punched Schwoz and everyone gasped as Schwoz fell. 

Henry and Juniper exchanged a surprised expression since they all told Jasper he wasn't allowed to hit anyone, but he did the exact opposite they all told him. They all should've expected he was going to do that though. 

"Uh," Ray points at Jasper. "Hold it right there!"

"No! I'm not holding it anywhere!" Jasper commented. He yelled, running towards Charlotte's device and Henry, Ray, and Juniper followed him. The three of them try to catch the 'bad guy', ending up running around the device along with Jasper in circles. 

When they all stop at the same time, Henry points at Jasper. "Um, sir, I urge you to give up!"

"Eat feet!" Jasper demanded.

Henry pretends to look offended by what he said while Juniper, Ray, and Charlotte pretended to look shocked as everyone else gasped. "Okay, that does it." Henry spoke.

Ray looks at Juniper and Henry with determination. "Let's get him!"

"Yeah!" Juniper chimed. 

She then yelled along with Henry and Ray as they all ran at Jasper. Jasper had moved out of the way quickly as the three of them landed on Charlotte's device. "Charlotte's gizmo!" One of the judges exclaimed in disbelief with a frown on her face.

 After getting up, the heroes and sidekick began kicking and stomping on the device. They mock yelled as they pulled Jasper around. Juniper had even kicked Jasper's leg lightly a few times to make it seem like it was a real fight. Meanwhile, Schwoz finally gets up, stumbling a bit as he did so. "Why'd he hit me so hard?" He mumbled.

Everyone watching the heroes and sidekick with shock and confusion as the weird fight continues. "It's such an odd fight." The female judge commented.

The guy beside her nods in agreement. "Isn't it?"

By the time the fake fight was over, Charlotte's device was in little pieces. "Alright, punk." Ray and Henry held Jasper's arms as Juniper stood beside them with her hands on her hips and an intimidated look on her face. 

"Guess what?" Juniper questions. "The next stop for you..."

"Jail." Henry finished her sentence and Juniper nodded.

"No, I hate jail!" Jasper whined. Then Henry, Ray, and Juniper guided Jasper out of the room.

"Over your shoulder, you know that I told you, I'll always be pickin' you up when you're down. So just turn around." Everyone sang along in Ray's car as they drove on the road. The group had went and got ice cream like Schwoz wanted earlier that day. While Charlotte, Jasper, and Schwoz were in the back, Henry, Ray, and Juniper were in the front. Schwoz sang the last part of the song, but he was very much off key which caused Juniper to cringe. 

"Juniper, will you hold this for a second?" Ray asked Juniper, handing his ice cream cone to her.

Glancing at him with confusion, she still takes it. "Yeah, but why-" Her eyes widen and panic fills her when Ray suddenly opens the door and jumps out of the moving car. "Ray! What the heck?!" She quickly leaned her the best she could to close the wide open door which was hard to do with no free hands and as she did that she moved her foot on the break peddle to make the car stop speeding down the road out of control.

"No, what are you doing?!" Henry yelled at Ray with panic clear in his voice, leaning over quickly to grab on the wheel to help steer the car. 

Everyone started freaking out about what just happened and trying to make sure they don't hit anyone or crash. Juniper mutters to herself, "Well, this is useless." She threw Ray's ice cream cone out the window which now she was able to unbuckle and move to the drivers seat to be able to get better control of the car. 

She put her free hand on the wheel (she was still holding onto her ice cream cone) and se glanced at Henry and nodded, reassuring him she was able to drive now that she was fully in front of the wheel. Henry looked more relaxed now and he nodded, taking his hands off the wheel. Thanks to Juniper the group were now weren't freaking out about possibly hitting a car or crashing. Juniper was just glad she had her permit and hoped that they didn't get pulled over since she hasn't been driving that much. She sighed and shook her head. This day had definitely been interesting.

A/N no but what was the reason for ray jumping out of a moving car? that part was lowkey funny tho. i bet it was bc of schwoz's bad singing lol.
