The Next Morning

ArShi were sleeping hugging each other when Arnav's phone buzzed to life.

Being a light sleeper Arnav immediately woke up and gently disentangled himself from Khushi and got out of the bed.

"Aman" He whispered looking at the Caller-ID.

Morning Aman

Morning ASR! I hope I didn't disturb you.

It's alright. What is it Aman?

First of.. I am extremely sorry for being late. The police was still questioning potential culprits, They think more than one people want Khushi out of their ways.

You found out about how the keys of the mansion were extracted from Gurugram and by whom?

ASR, The place was robbed an year and half ago. Surprisingly, Nothing actually went missing. Not even the key. However on close inspection, I gathered that the key was a fake one. The original key, Most probably still is with them

So.. Did you find out the people responsible for that robbery?

Sheetal Malik and Advay Kapoor. Your cousin Brother Dhruv Malik's wife and her brother. Guess they forgot about the security cameras

Dhruv.. Dhruv Malik. Are you sure Aman?

Dhruv malik isn't involved. He was never, It's just Sheetal and Advay. Um.. ASR, Sheetal claims to be your Ex-Girlfriend.

Sheetal.. Sheetal Kapoor, Is it? She was my junior in Harvard. She.. She wasn't my Girlfriend Aman. However she was a friend. She was sweet and I didn't really have a problem in hanging out with her. Yeah.. Maybe she told her friends that I was her boyfriend, a few times. But when I confronted her about the same.. She said she just wants to be left alone by the.. Other boys. And no one would dare approach ASR's girl. And I agreed to help. She even assured me it was nothing serious.

I don't remember meeting her after college farewell. And that was nearly six years ago. I didn't even know she's married to Dhruv. To my own brother.

Right, ASR.. According to you she was a friend. Did she know about Your connection with Maliks?

She might've known. I mean.. Me and Dhruv share a cordial relationship. And we've been spotted together millions of times.

And what's Advay Kapoor's story?

I'm not yet very clear about his part, But I think it's got something to do with The Textile deal Of Jacob Richards and Co. The deal had skyrocketed our profits as well as reputation. However.. It had ruined the Kapoors almost completely

I had never wanted my family to suffer because of business rivalries.

I understand. But it's a part of business. Uh- ASR Surely.. You wouldn't have told Sheetal about ArShi Mansion. How did she get to know?

Dhruv knew.. About the place. The mansion actually belonged to one of his good friends. He was the one who convinced him to sell it off to me. Sheetal is his wife. Dhruv might've told her.

You think, Dhruv Malik could be of any help? In extracting more information. We desperately need clues

I'll try my luck. Did you gather anything from Millie?

No.. It was a big failure. Millie had to leave for Versailles for a few months an year ago and she had left the house in the care of her friend, I knew about the swap. She was called Amanda But she died in a car accident a few months back. So Millie doesn't have any idea. However I found a box in the house when I went to check after confronting Millie. But I couldn't see it's contents as Khushi was always around. I will try and examine it today.

Oh.. That's great. I'll also see what else I can gather. You take care. Goodbye.

After completing the call, Arnav returned to his room after gathering himself.

"Morning Arnavji" khushi greeted

"Morning Khushi. Awake already?" Arnav asked taking her in a hug.

"What happened Arnavji?"

"Nothing.. I just wanted to hug you. Make sure you're there" Arnav said

"I am there Arnavji. Where will I go?" Khushi asked not daring to break the hug.

"Just.. Never leave me alone Khush. I can't.. Imagine living without you" Arnav said in a cracking voice

"I know Arnavji. Shh.. I am always there. Right beside you. Nothing is going to separate us. Not even Devi Maiyya" Khushi assured

"Promise?" Arnav asked

"Promise Arnavji" Khushi said kissing his cheek. Making Arnav smile.

"I love you" Khushi said

"I love you too Baby" Arnav confessed

"Who were you talking to?" She asked finally breaking the hug.

"Aman.. He had to have my opinion about something" Arnav said

"Opinion? Really Arnavji?" Khushi narrowed her eyes.

"I'll handle this" Arnav assured

"You do realize that you're a normal human Being and Not a superhero don't you? There's no point arguing, You aren't going to tell me anyway" Khushi said

"I think we should both get ready and meet up with the others? And figure out what to do next?" Arnav asked

Khushi sighed

"Yeah.. That'll be a good idea" she agreed

After some time, All of the couples assembled in the café of the hotel

"Morning Everyone" ArShi Greeted

"Good Morning" Everyone greeted back

They settled on the private table allotted to them and started discussing breakfast menu

"Accha Woh sub chodo.. Aaj ka plan kya hai? (Okay leave all that.. What's the plan for today?) Rudra asked putting a stop to their discussion

"I haven't really thought of anything as yet. We could just stay indoors for a day" Arnav suggested

"Not a bad idea... But what will we do staying in the hotel?" Anjali asked

"Um.. The girls could explore the spa. The boys could take a look at the casino. There's a Virtual Reality Gaming Center in the basement. We could explore that too" Arnav said

Rudra beamed excitedly

"Looks like someone's already in" Shivaay said eyeing Rudra

"You can never be old enough for Virtual Reality Games. SSO bhaiya" Rudra said

"I'm sure. So what do you think?" Shyam asked

"Course.. It sounds good" Anika said and the rest agreed

"See ya in the evening" Shivaay said pecking Anika's head

Arnav gently pulled Khushi in a side hug whispering an "Enjoy"

"Bye Rani-Saheba" Shyam said

"Uhmm.. Uhmm. Guys. Shall we leave?" NK asked

"Lagta hai La ko bulwana padega (I think I'll have to get La called) Or else a certain someone isn't going to let us romance in peace" Arnav said winking at Shyam and Shivaay while Omkara chuckled stealing a kiss from his Gauri before parting ways.
