Chapter 5: Um....what?

Lucy's POV:

On my way out of the cafeteria, I swear I could feel the burning stare of probably half the school's population.

I was looking around for Levy~chan's table, but of course it was very hard to spot her despite that hair of hers because of my favorite flaming ball of gas in the sky.

A.K.A.: The sun.

Okay, I have been looking for Levy~chan for around five minutes now and I swear the world is against me when it comes to finding her freaking table.

I have almost been tripped three times, a Gatorade bottle has missed my head by an inch or two twice, and these UV rays are going to be my cause of blindness.

Who forgets to even bring shades to school?

Don't answer that, I'm embarrassed enough.

" Lu~Chan! Lu~Chan!" Finally a sign of hope. I was just about ready to shove my lunch down my throat.

I'm so hungry!

I turned to the direction of Levy~chan's voice and saw that it was a table I had past already! I hope they didn't realise.

Unfortunately I could also make out the faint giggle in her voice.

Dammit she realised.

There goes my hopes of being badass till the end of lunch.

Okay Lucy, don't blow your chance at making even more friends. It's surprising you even have 4. Let's keep these surprises coming.

Lets do this.

"Hey everyo- Levy~chan you can stop trying to hide your laughing. You guys too. Your gonna make me wanna dig a hole and hide!"

Ugh. I hope I'll live this down.

Upon closer inspection of the group, I could see everyone wearing a pair of sunglasses each. The girls had branded ones ranging from Gucci to Prada. And the guys mainly had Raybands.

Damn, even though I can afford Gucci I like my cheap heart shades better.

Your taste doesn't always have to be expensive to be good.

That's what my mom always told me.

Any who.

As soon as I sat next to Levy~chan a round of introductions were heard. From what I could gather through all the new voices were:

Two sweet and adorable juniors named Wendy and Romeo. He and Wendy were blushing when they touched accidentally, another operation I would like to make a success.

A guy with a tattoo under his eye named Jellal. He seemed pretty cool to me, but he looked a little nervous around Erza. I smell another crush. His tattoo was awesome up close to.

There was also Gajeel who I caught staring at Levy~chan a couple times. That's cute, I can't believe they're not together yet.

Then there was a fun looking girl named Cana. Definitely a rule breaker. She had something suspicious in her ice tea as well. Another suspicious drinker named Bachas sat next to Gajeel. They could be good pairing. Don't ask why just yet. You can call it fangirl's intuition for now.

The raven haired kid, Gray was also there with Juvia sitting next to him.

He was shirtless.

I've seen my brothers shirtless so I wasn't fazed by it, but I couldn't say the same for his probable fangirls around him.

Juvia looked away, but I could see the faint blush on her face and the not so subtle looks she gave Gray.

The last person on the table surprising me was Natsu. The very popular and not so subtle bad boy.

He was just observing me, but for some reason I felt kind of uncomfortable under his gaze.

To distract myself from his gaze I went back to my lunch after saying an introduction back.

Before I could take my first bite of  lunch, a phone was shoved into my face.

Before I could snap a few necks Era's voice spoke up.

"It was uploaded right before you came out the cafeteria." I pressed the play button and then proceeded to probably loose my last hope of new friends.

The scene showed me and that brat
from earlier. Right till the very end.

Dang these people work fast.

What really surprised me is what Erza said after. Followed by a hard pat on the back from her.

"I'm glad your not one of those push overs Lucy. I have to always put those brats in their place, but they never learn. Hopefully they will keep you in mind next time." Awww Erza.

A few nods of approval were also spotted amongst the others.

"I don't think I'd last very long in this school if was a push over. By the way no one messes with me and my food." I answered back playfully.

With that everyone started laughing and I felt good for accomplishing that.
