Rosewood - Coco

Taking care of Coco/Coco cheers up a depressed Michael while he's alone.

Michael scowled as he walked into the three's shared house. He was irritated and honestly he wished he could just hit something. (Something hopefully being Austin and/or Ritchie. Honestly he wasn't picky.)

He was alone, which wasn't too surprising to him. It wasn't uncommon for his "friends" to maliciously leave him out of plans. Usually that brag about where they were going but this time they literally just ditched him.

But again, Michael wasn't surprised in the least. It's why he had this big revenge plot planned up after all.

Throwing his backpack down next to the door he let himself drop onto the couch. Closing his eyes he let himself be dragged into his own mind.

Why did he bother with them? It was obvious that they didn't care about him in the slightest. So why didn't he just leave? He doubted they would notice and, even when they did, he doubted they would care.

But then again why should they? What did he even bring to the group? Ritchie was the ringleader. He came up with (most) of the ideas and could easily bring people to his side. Austin on the other hand was the fun crazy one. He was down to try most ideas and was basically the muscle of the group and could also be easily popular of he tried.

Then there was him.

He was... what? The smart one? Yeah that could be useful but they could grab anyone from Rosewood and have that. Smart wasn't special. He learned that from a young age. (Thanks guys and dad.)

At this point all his anger was gone and he felt he felt his heart clench painfully at the thought of them actually replacing him.

But they wouldn't do that... right? (They would. He knew that.)

He just groaned covering his face with his arms as he spread across the couch. At this point he just wanted to stop thinking. His mind would never let him do that though. That would be too much of a blessing.

He forced his feelings back and was left feeling uncomfortable numb. Oh well, he thought, better then hurt I suppose.

He wasn't sure how long he laid there, in the silent near empty house, feeling and thinking nothing. Forcing himself to shut down mentally was a thing he'd grown depressingly good at in the past few years. He done it as a way to escape things around him since he was young but he found himself doing more often recently.

He was pulled from nothingness by something pushing against the side of his head. Pulling his arms from his face he turned to see their horse, Coco looking down at him and nudging him with her nose.

Coco had been just wandering around the kitchen when one of her boys had walked into the home and just layed down. That wasn't normal. The fact that it was just one and the fact that they didn't greet her. Walking over she noted it was the shortest one. He was very clearly upset.

And that wouldn't do. Not only on her watch anyway.

She nuzzled his hair gently and he lowered his arms and blinked up at her blearily. She could tell he was really upset. He rolled his eyes and gently pushed her head away.

"Go away Coco. I'm not in the mood to play."

She leaned back and huffed indignantly. No way she would give up this easily. Not when it was one of her boys. She nudged him again more forcefully and whinnied.

"Coco..." He groaned, finally sitting up. "Ugh, what do you want?"

Coco stepped back a few steps and did her spin dancing to try and cheer him up. Michael let out a huffed that could have been a laugh.

"Yes Coco, you're an amazing dancer. Now if you don't mind I'mma go back to wallowing now."

Coco did mind.

Michael couldn't even later back down before Coco moved and bit his sleeve to avoid letting him later back down.

"Coco! What is wrong with you today?!" Michael snapped and glaring at the mare.

Coco let go of his sleeve at his exclamation and stood back for a second to observe him. Then she liked her head around Michael's shoulder, pulling him close in some odd horse version of a hug.

She felt Michael tense up before hesitantly wrapping his arms around her.

"Well... I guess you care about me at least..."

Coco neighed sadly and put a little more forcefully and into the hug. She couldn't believe he couldn't see how much the other two cared. Even if they didn't show.

But she would worry about that later for now she was content with keeping one of her boys happy.
