( ★ ) Cousins, Massachusetts was the town that hundreds of people traveled to every year. It was right on the beach and allowed those in the area to still enjoy the sand and water while not having to travel hundreds of thousands miles. The town was best known for its debutante ball every year, girls and boys dressing up to show their elegance and maturity. The ball was normally organized by the country club with a board of members helping as well, some of them being susannah fisher, jennifer bardot, and brittany wright.

The town was also known for those that lived there and the houses they had along the beach. While hundreds of people actually lived in cousins year round, hundreds of people had summer houses there. The Bardot family was one of those families, along with the fisher family. Susannah and Jennifer had grown up together, along with their friend, Laurel. Along the way, they found more friends and eventually had kids that all became friends. It was the perfect story they wanted. Although, nothing was perfect in their friend group or their kids friend group.

That summer would be one of the last, if not the last, summers where everyone was together. It was either everyone was going off to college or they just didn't have time those following summers, and while it pains them, they were prepared to make that summer the best summer they've ever had. If only things ever went according to plan when it came to cousins.

( ★ ) Jayden Hamilton didn't feel like he fit in anywhere. No matter how much he changed, he never fit it. He would change his style and still feel wrong. He would change his interests and still feel wrong. He would change every single thing about himself and still feel like he didn't belong. He never understood why he felt like that, it didn't make sense. Jayden was nothing but an incredibly talented and smart student so he should be able to fit in wherever he goes but he just didn't. That's why he was moving. He was moving to the other side of the country and was hoping that he would finally fit in. And he did. Cousins, Massachusetts was the one place where anyone could feel at home.

Once in cousins, everything started clicking for the boy. He felt like he finally fit in with those around him. That was until he met jeremiah fisher. Don't get him wrong, he thought the boy was insanely attractive but he was to wild for Jayden. From the minute Jayden and Jeremiah met, Jayden could tell that Jeremiah was a flirt and party type of guy and that wasn't Jayden. Jayden enjoyed staying inside and reading or studying. The two instantly clicked but Jayden knew it wouldn't last. The boys were too different.

The two boys stayed friends for about two weeks before jayden decided it was best to cut it off before it became more. Jayden could tell Jeremiah wanted something that jayden didn't and he needed jeremiah to know that. Although, the minute he went to tell Jeremiah, he couldn't bring himself to. He couldn't bring himself to kill Jeremiah's wild dreams.

( ★ ) Jeremiah fisher was one of those people that could fit in anywhere and everywhere, no matter what. He was always so open with everyone and always made friends quickly. He was definitely the type to party and flirt with everyone around him, but that all started to change the minute he met Jayden Hamilton, the only person who truly didn't care for the flirting and high energy. Jeremiah could tell they the boy wasn't fond of parties and he honestly couldn't blame him. While jeremiah did love to party, it made everything so messy for him and others to the point where it wasn't worth it. Eventually, jeremiah stopped partying and flirting as much, allowing himself to get back into his studies and actually be with one person and one person only.

Jeremiah didn't want to ruin the one friendship he actually saw a future with but that could all change in just a matter of seconds. Although, he also saw how different he was from Jayden and it truly worried him. He knew the friendship, possibly even relationship, wouldn't go well if they had nothing in common. And he could already tell they had absolutely nothing in common. Although, it was only a matter of time before Jeremiah's wild dreams came true and Jayden liked him back.

( ★ ) Jayden and Jeremiah had nothing in common, they both knew that from the moment they met. While they did click immediately, they could tell it wouldn't last as they continued to talk. Jeremiah was too high energy and flirty for Jayden and Jayden was too reserved and quiet for Jeremiah's liking. They still liked each other for their looks but they both knew that's not what they cared about in a relationship. They both loved someone for not only their looks, but their personality and without those lining up, it was hard for the two to actually get together or have a summer fling going on.

Jeremiah soon pushed past the boundary Jayden had set though, getting to know and like the things that Jayden likes so the two could actually talk and have something in common. Although, it wasn't until later in the summer when Jayden finally started to realize his feelings and lean more and more towards what Jeremiah was dreaming of in his wildest dreams.
