Looking at the bedroom that's going to be mine, I'm not just surprised. I nearly fall flat on my face when I notice how big and wonderful it is.

"It's not that spacious, but if it's not to your liking, I could always give you the music room that's currently occupied by Finn's instruments."

Dude, are you kidding me? This is more than what I asked for.

I would have been happy living under the stairs if it means free room. This surely surpassed my expectations.

I sneak a glance at him to see if he's just teasing me, but I'm wrong because he looks genuinely worried.

"This is great, really. I love it." I assure him.

He smiles, pleased that I like the room.

The walls are painted in neutral colors. There's a king-sized bed, a wardrobe and a dresser. I was ready to settle for less, but here I was being given more than what I had dreamed about. There's a great view from the floor to ceiling glass windows.

He puts my stuff on the floor. "There is no attached bath for this bedroom, unfortunately, so you're free to use the one in the hallway, which Finn uses occasionally."

"Who is Finn?" I feel stupid asking this question, but he's been throwing around that name since I stepped into the house so this person must be important.

"He's my friend and roommate. Wait, I thought Daniel told you about him."

"Oh, yeah, right. My bad, he did mention I'll be sharing the apartment with you and your friend. Totally forgot about it."

"I don't blame you; most people forget about mostly everything when they are in my presence." There's that lady-killer smile again.

I laugh. Is he flirting with me, or is he not?

Suddenly I feel underdressed. I'm wearing an oversized t-shirt and shorts to go with it, nothing fancy. These clothes are very old, and I look like the very definition of 'poor' but I'm hoping he's not the type of person who judges a person according to the clothes they wear.

"Let me show you the gaming room."

He opens another door to show me a short set of stairs that lead to a room lit up by neon lights on the wall. It's filled with gaming stuff. A pool table dominates the center, and there's a Ping-pong booth, and some car racing stuff that looks like something out of my brother's dream. Some more gaming consoles and a flat screen.

"I use this room mostly when I host parties. Any time you wanna chill or play games, you're always welcome here." He says as he closes the door.

"Thanks." I say.

I'm not a gaming person by a long shot. "Do you have parties often here?"

"Occasionally." He says.

I want to know if 'occasionally' means weekly or like every other day. If he's the type of person who loves throwing parties every weekend, then I'm screwed because I need total silence when I study and I'm a night owl. After my side hustle of cam-girl, I usually study until after mid-night.

He points to a room on the left close to the stairs. "That's Finn's bedroom. Mine is on the first level."

Just how many floors does this apartment have? Is it even an apartment? Because to me, it looks like a freakin villa.

He shows me the bathroom, which is also extravagant. It has a bathtub and showerheads. I almost feel guilty for living here for free.

Aiden finally concludes the tour in the kitchen area, "I don't cook, like at all. Finn does occasionally when he's in a good mood. If you're into cooking, the kitchen is at your disposal."

He looks down at my hands, and it takes me a minute to realize I've been subconsciously playing with my fingers. I stop almost immediately.

Well, can you blame me? He's tall, fucking hot and intimidating. He's also super nice, like Dan mentioned.

"I don't know how to thank you." I push my hair behind my ear nervously as he pins me with a look.

His eyes burn with an intensity that makes my face burn. "Well, don't thank me then."

"I...I really appreciate your help." I say, "Is there anything I can do in the house to help?"

He stares into a distance, he's thinking hard, "Yeah, you can do one thing."

"What is that?"

"Maybe you could, I don't know...sit on the couch looking pretty? I think that would be a major help. Besides, Finn and I could use a change of scenery."

I laugh because I think my semi-crush on Aiden is turning into a full-blown one.

"No, seriously. I would feel like a freeloader, so I'd like to buy groceries at least."

He opens the two door stainless steel refrigerator and shows me it's stacked with all the necessary food items. From eggs and milk to different types of meat and veggies, a dozen bottles of sauce, cans of beer and soda. The freezer is filled with frozen foods.

"I believe I've got you covered there as well, but again, this is your home now. If there's something you need, you can always get it, but don't worry about our grocery shopping. Finn and I do it online for our stuff and they deliver it home."

"Sounds good."

A fat orange tabby cat meows from the counter, interrupting our conversation.

Aiden reaches across from me and picks up the fur baby. "And this little fella here is Remus, but everyone calls him Chonk." He picks up the cat's little paw and waves it to me, "Say hi to your new roommate, Buddy."

My heart does quick somersaults. I can't decide who is cuter, the owner or the cat. In the end, I decide both.

"Remus is a cute name." I caress the fur-baby's forehead, "Is that perhaps inspired by Harry Potter?"

"It sure is. I'm a huge fan of the series, even read all the books."

I press a hand to my chest, "Me too. We should totally do a movie marathon someday."

Oops. Did I accidentally invite him over on a date?

He nods. "We definitely should."

Remus flays in Aiden's arms so he puts him down on the floor.

There's also a cat tree in the living area that I hadn't noticed before.

"I believe we go to the same university as well. Since you're new, I'll be more than happy to show you around."

"Thanks."

"Or if I'm busy, Finn can do that too."

So far, I think I would be very comfortable sharing my space with Aiden. From occasionally crushing over him, and having continuous butterflies, I know he would be easy to be around.

Now all that was left was to meet my second roommate, Fin.
