Adaquate Aftermath

Chris's POV
What the heck did she just say!?!
"WHAT?!?" The three of us simultaneously gasped, shocked.
Beyond shocked honestly.
I mean, it's not surprising that Abi had a boyfriend. Come on, she's super pretty! And she's awesome.
I'm just surprised she said yes to the dude who asked her out.
And that she never told me!
...Okay I was probably in Virginia at the time but still!
By the look on Dallas's face, he was uninformed as well.
Abi shifted uncomfortably, while twirling a piece of her silky hair around her finger.
"You DATED SOMEBODY! AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME?!?" Dallas yelled, causing poor Abi to flinch and take a step back.
Well, someone's angry.
Thankfully, he wasn't so loud that he attracted unwanted attention.
"Uhhhhhhhhh... yeah?" She responded, discreetly gulping.
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?-" he started, but I cut him off.
"Come on Dallas, calm down. I mean, I'm surprised too but why are you even mad? It's not like dating is illegal or anything." I reasoned, as Dallas face grew more and more annoyed.
"She could've gotten hurt! Ever think of that golden boy?" He snapped.
Jeez man, I'm just supporting a friend here.
And what the heck? Golden boy?
"Uhh, I'm right here. Completely fine. Ay ok." Abi announced, as our attention shot back to her.
"How did you guys break up?" Liam asked, completely calm.
"Eh, I got bored of him," Abi shrugged, yawning.
I looked down at my watch to check the time.
1:23 am.
Oh no, I CANNOT fall asleep in class again.
Can't afford failing another assignment.
Its weird how I'm hyperactive and lazy at the same time.
"Oh so you broke up with him. See? She didn't get hurt at all" Liam said, turning to Dallas to reassure him.
"Naw he kinda low-key just a little bit maaaaybe still likes me..." Abi sighed, rubbing the back of her neck.
Someone please take me home before Dallas explodes.
"HE WHAT?!?" Dallas shouted, this time making heads turn our way.
I looked back upon the crowd, sheepishly waving at them. Rolling they're eyes, they averted their attention back to themselves.
Works every time.
"You know what, I'm tired. Let's just go home." Liam suggested, earning an eager nod from Abi.
Dallas and I looked at each other, before I turned to Abi and followed her out.
Grumbling, Dallas followed.
Dallas's POV
I cannot believe she didn't tell me about this.
We've been friends for years! How'd she even manage to hide it from me? We're literally always together.
I followed behind Chris, Abi, and Liam, making sure to stay far behind them.
I get angry pretty easily, so me being near them probably won't end well. They probably don't want me near them right now anyway.
Just looking at her triggers me. Still, I can't help but do it.
A cool breeze howled as it blew by, making me tug on my beanie to keep it in place.
If the beanie fell off I would be done for. Heck I'd move back to Spain or Mexico.
I mean, you can't really blame me for being mad.
Abi is one of my only friends. Of course I'd be worried about her! The dude could've hurt her!
Wow... I sound like a mom. Ugh, Whatever.
I glanced up at the moon, and stopped walking for a second.
Closing my eyes, I took in a deep breath.
Vanna does this whenever she gets mad, and she tells me to do it whenever I get angry.
...Which is pretty much everyday. I've never tried it before so I guess it can't hurt me now.
I muttered the steps she's repeated so many times to myself, while doing them.
One: take in a deep breath.
Done.
Two: hold it in for as long as you can without your face hurting.
Done,
Three, let it out as slowly as you-
Okay yeah I'm done with this crap.
Snapping my eyes back open, I resumed walking forward with a huff.
Why does life always manage to get me riled up?
~~~~~~~
"Dallas! Wake up! DALLASSS!"
I groaned, and turned to my side, trying my best to block out the sweet little voice calling my name.
"Ugh, come on!" Vanna huffed.
"Buenos días Dallas y Havanna!" Another voice called out, as I heard my door squeak open.
Great, go ahead and hold a family reunion in here as I sleep.
"Abuela, Dallas won't wake up" Vanna complained, seeking the aid of my grandmother.
"Eh?" Abuela responded.
See, abuela has lived in Mexico her entire life, and only speaks Spanish. Havanna of course keeps forgetting.
"Ah! Lo siento abuela!" Vanna apologized. "Dallas no se despertará."
"Ah! Ese chico travieso!" Abuela shook her head. "DALLAS! DESPERTARSE!"
Still ignoring the two, I tried desperately to fall back asleep. Thanks to the stupid mission, I barely got any sleep.
I heard loud footsteps stomp out of the room, before quiet enveloped the area once again.
Finally.
I again drifted off to sleep, content and comfortable.
That is, until abuela came back with a rolling pin.
"ACK! Abuela STOP! IM AWAKE! BUENOS DIAS!" I yelped, as the hard wood smacked me in the back.
This is the downside to abuela. She's a sweet old woman, but when she has her rolling pin, you better RUN.
Vanna giggled, as I viewed my room through my blurry vision, due to my drowsiness.
And now sore back.
"Buenos dias mi chico!" Abuela answered, now smiling. The lethal wooden weapon was hidden behind her back.
Tch, real smooth grandma.
My beanie was still on from last night, since I was so tired and angry I just plopped myself on the bed as soon as I climbed back in my room.
I had forgotten to close the windows as well, leaving my room rather chilly.
"Wow Dallas, you've gotten lazy" Vanna notes, shaking her head as she straightened my beanie.
I was seated on my bed, so she could actually reach my head.
I rubbed my eyes, yawning. "Nope, I'm just a busy boy."
"Oh come on all you do is strum your guitar all day or hang out with Abi. By the way, isn't her photo shoot today?"
Oh crap, it is.
"Uh, yeah I think so" I answered.
"Well aren't you going to go?"
"No, Drew's got it covered. She probably won't wanna see me there anyway." I grumbled, not listening to the words coming out of my mouth.
"What? Did you and Abi fight? Also who the heck is Drew?" Vanna gasped, as I mentally faceplamed at my denseness.
Great going Dallas, now why don't you go tell the whole world? And while your at it, just mention that you're a Wild Soul. It's FINE.
"No, we're good. Drew's a new friend of ours." I explained, being carefully not to let anything else slip.
"Hm, okay then. Show me the pictures of her when she sends them though! She's already really pretty without even trying, imagine her all dressed up!" Vanna squealed.
Well Abi, guess you've got a fan.
I chuckled, "Sure Vanna."
Let's just hope I actually deserve to get those pictures.
Abi's POV
See, there's a reason I didn't tell Dallas about Cameron.
It's because brown bear overreacts. He gets overprotective extremely easily, and if I told him about Cameron, Cameron would probably be dead.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind that right about now.
After I broke up with him, he just wouldn't let me go.
The heartbreaker refused to be heartbroken.
Which resulted in some not so good stuff.
Really, really not so good stuff.
If you didn't get the gist, he's assaulted me.
...twice.
See why I didn't tell Dallas?
He would've combusted.
And that's not at all an exaggeration.
I mean, the dudes got a temper.
Thankfully, I've been able to fight him off both times. I'm stronger than him, but barely.
And just to make it better, nobody at all knows this. I just don't know how I would say it. Come on, I can barely get the words out of my mouth.
Plus anyone would react horribly.
Sighing, I pulled on a pair of periwinkle tennis shoes, tugging extra hard on the shoelaces for comfort.
Just when I was about to get up from my crouching position, a knock sounded at the door.
Zora.
"Come in!" I called out, searching my bed for the last place I carelessly tossed my phone.
The door squeaked open, right as my fingers made contact with the device.
"So, you ready yet?" Zora asked, twirling her car keys around her index finger.
"Almost..." I trailed off, trying to remember what I had to do before leaving for my photo shoot.
Right! Sage!
"Come here girl!" I cooed, waving my sweet kitty over.
She obediently obliged, eagerly strutting over for what she loved most:
Food.
Opening the bag of hidden cat food, I scooped up a big potion for her meal and poured it right into her little bowl, along with a bit of water.
Sage pounced onto her meal, like a predator jumping on top of its next meal.
I chuckled, ruffling her short hair.
"I'm all good now," I announced, grabbing the bad I packed earlier containing a snack, water, and my phone for entertainment.
All suggestions from Drew.
The dude's stiff, but he's pretty helpful.
"Hey Zora, do you think we'll be able to make it to the hospital before heading the Aurora?" I questioned, while straightening up.
"Uhhhh yeah. Your shoot starts in an hour, and the hospital takes me takes me an hour to drive to, plus seven minutes to Aurora... you got twenty minutes at the hospital. But why?" Zora stated, checking her phone for a confirmation of the time.
A smile found its way to my face, as I happily swung the door to my room open.
"I've got a friend in there."
Drew's POV
"Would you like some water? Juice?" A voice vibrated, glitching in my ears.
"Mmmm, n-no" I answered, waving the pesky thing away.
Little did I know, it was just a nurse trying to assist me.
Oh well, she chose to be a nurse, she gets to deal with me.
"Ok, that's fine. Just be sure to get my attention if you need it, okay?" She buzzed again, as I creased my eyebrows due to tension.
"Yeah yeah I will." I mumbled, keeping my eyes closed.
With a sigh, she walked away, leaving my in my own presence.
But not for long.
The darn lady walked back in again, with a question on her mind.
"Drew, you've got a visitor. Would you like her to come in?"
A visitor? Now? I'm really not in the mood to associate with a human being at the moment.
"Nah" I simply said, turning to my side.
"Nuh Uh Uh, you've gotta lay on your back." The nurse lady corrected, nudging me in the right direction.
Ugh, I hate this woman.
I obediently turned over, making the whole turn extremely over dramatic.
Turning around, the lady walked near the door, pushing it open. "Drew doesn't want any visitors right now" she informed whoever was here.
Hopefully not my sister Saffron, I can't STAND her.
Maybe it's Lola, or-
"Look lady, I don't care if Drew doesn't want a visitor right now, I'm here. HEY, OPEN UP YOU MULE!"
I chuckled, amused until I realized that she was referring to me and not the nurse.
Abi.
"Let her in" I ordered, now a teeny bit more pleased.
A few moments later, the door swung open, revealing Abi.
"Hi" she greeted, shooting a dirty look towards the nurse.
Ha.
I managed to wave, though my eyes were still closed.
"You asleep or something?" She asked almost sarcastically.
I sighed, forcing an eye open. "Better?"
"Acceptable" she shrugged, pulling a spare chair over to the edge of my bed before sitting down on it.
She was in moderate clothing, pretty simple. Just plain black jeans and a canary yellow t-shirt, as well as a vintage looking belt hanging loosely off its assigned hoops. Her dark sneakers and hair tie didn't add much to the look, if you even considered it one.
Though, I guess it'd fine since her clothing will be provided at Aurora.
"You know you're a total drama queen" Abi chuckled, shooting an amused look in my direction.
"Heh? How?" I questioned.
She raised an eyebrow at me and scoffed, "you just got knocked out, you didn't have a near death experience or anything."
"Well yeah, but it hurt!" I retorted, "it's like an eternal headache"
She rolled her eyes, but gave in with a small laugh. "Yeah, yeah. Anyway, tips before the photo shoot?"
"Oh right! That's why you came!" I realized, pushing myself up so I was sitting and no longer lying down. "Well, just remember to be flexible. Listen to what everyone, especially the photographer says. Oh and don't be too stiff. Your pretty much got the rest down, it's not that hard. You'll do fine."
Abi nodded, taking a moment to process the information. "Okay, thanks!" She got up and turned around, before pausing and tilting her head back to face me.
"Y'know, I would've visited you even if I didn't need tips or advice."
"Sure, whatever." I waved, earning another eye roll from our leader.
Still, I could feel her smiling, and somehow, I was smiling too.
She got up to walk out the door, sending a final wave goodbye in my direction.
But...
"Wait!"
