THE WORLD WAS CHANGING.

A new kind of human — mutants — were appearing more and more often in the population. And although Henry Howlett assumed they had been around a long time, it was only in the past decades that their numbers were soaring to unbelievable levels. Levels high enough for the rest of mankind to notice. That was when things started to go downhill.

Henry could remember what it was like as a young child with abilities far beyond anyone could imagine, And fortunately for him, he gained control of his powers before the huge controversy over mutants started. It also helped that he had same powers as his Father (despite his claws being made of bone and not metal) so he had someone to look out for him and teach him how to keep abilities like theirs in check. 

It was hard for Logan: raising a baby he had been given after losing his memory. But when he stared into the eyes of his son, he knew somewhere inside that this child was his and that he would do anything to protect him. So, Logan didn't give up.

Whilst the Howletts travelled from place to place all the time to keep their secret, well, secret, on the other side of the country, a girl was living in a sanctuary for mutants. Her name was Eleanor Xavier.

As the granddaughter to the School's Headmaster and Founder, Eleanor had grown up around mutants and their extraordinary gifts. To her, mutantkind was the one that seemed normal and mankind were the ones out of place. She lived her sheltered life away from the world, safe from those who would wish her harm. And despite her inexperience with the way the world worked, Ellie wanted to go out there and experience for it herself. Because, although her powers could be dangerous if she wanted them to be, she had learnt to control them within the confines of school grounds. 

When Henry Howlett, his Father and the young girl they had given a ride to where swept up and taken to the school ran by Charles Xavier, his life changed forever. Because that was when Henry Howlett met Eleanor Xavier.

For the first time in a long time, Henry did not feel alone. Sure, he had his Father who was just like him, but he had never befriended a mutant his own age before. And something about that just made Henry feel at peace. 

Together, Henry and Ellie wanted to fight for their people, for their families, and for each other. And despite everything being thrown their way, the two mutants would stick by each other no matter what. Because their love was a match for any ability. 

He was made for war.

She was made for peace.

But united they could bring the end to the battle against mutants and restore order and justice to their beloved planet.

AUTHOR'S NOTE —
So, here you have it, my Xmen fic. I've been wanting to write one for a while and then Deadpool and Wolverine came out and ultimate inspo struck which led to this being added to my drafts. I love this plot so much and Henry and Eleanor are my babies. There will be appearances from my other OCs which will have their own chances to shine. Magnar will get his own book later on when it comes to the Deadpool movies and Nora is the main character of her book that she ends up sharing with Edith. I can't wait!!!

With Henry and Ellie ending up together, it makes Logan and Charles family so their bond has much more meaning. Logan is such a good Father. He lost his memories then a week later, Henry got dropped off at his door with a letter and birth certificate. A friend made a promise that he intended to keep. It was hard for Logan but he kept going for Henry's sake. I love this Father/son duo so much.
