The loud thud of Madison's body hitting the floor could be heard from outside the small shack.

"Did you hear that?" Hayley questioned the Original at her side.

He nodded and pushed open the wooden door, his eyes widening when he saw the pregnant witch in a pool of her own blood.

"Oh my god," Hayley panicked, rushing to the body to check for a heartbeat. "I don't feel a pulse."

Madison looked down at her hands, which were now clear of blood. Her green eyes darted around the dimly lit street and her hand flew to her stomach which was now flat. The witch stood up and began to walk forward when she heard a voice call out to her.

It was same voice she heard on the worst night of her life. It was the voice that she heard over and over again when she died. The same voice that haunted her dreams.

"Where do you think you're going, sugar?"

The man stood in front of her, blocking her path.

"Please don't, I just wanna go home," the words fell from her lips without her noticing.

The pair had the exact same conversation that terrible night.

"You say that every time, you should know by now that it's never gonna be different," he said. This was different.

Madison just laughed and flicked her wrist like she should've done when it first happened. He neck snapped and he fell to floor along with all his drunk friends.

A figure stepped from the shadows, clapping slowly. Madison froze in her place as the figure stepped in front of her. The dim street light illuminated their face. She had pale skin and blonde hair, matching Madison's, and brown eyes that the Supreme could never forget.

"Hello Madison," the woman smiled. "Do you remember me?"

"Of course," Madison watched her face light up in joy. "You never forget why you're screwed up. You're my reason."

The Supreme smirked as the woman in front of her frowned, "Do you know why I'm here?"

"Oh god, is this my new hell?" Madison muttered to herself. "I'm going to be forced to spend eternity reliving this over and over, aren't I?"

"Not quite."

-

The pair had dragged Madison's body outside the shack, covering the corpse with a blanket in an attempt to stop the flies from eating away at her.

Elijah had managed to get Hayley to finally stop crying but then the werewolf venom in his veins began to effect him and she had to help him onto a bed. The Original tossed and turned, sweating and groaning as the werewolf tended to him.

Hayley handed him a cup of water, "Here, drink this."

He took a tentative sip from the cup but began to cough and gag.

"Forgive me. Please."

"It's okay." She glanced at him briefly. "Remind me to annihilate your brother once you're healthy."

"Yes, remind me to remind you to get in line," Elijah spoke weakly.

"It doesn't help that we decided to shack up in a swamp either." Hayley walked out onto the porch looking at Madison's blanket covered corpse, leaving the door open as she did. Elijah began to cough more and the werewolf rushed back to his side. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Please, just... return to your reading," he said dismissively.

"I went through the whole thing. It's just a regular Bible with an entry in a family tree that may or may not be me. But, you know, I've been a little busy worrying about you."

"Hayley, please. This fever will make me unstable. And once the hallucinations begin, I'll start to see things," he looked her dead in the eye. "You must leave me here."

"I'm not leaving you like this," Hayley argued.

Neither of them noticed the werewolf outside, checking out Madison's corpse on the shack's veranda.

-

The two women sat at the empty bar, neither knowing what to say.

"So you did this?" Madison motioned around the room with her finger.

"Yes. I needed to talk to you."

"And you had to kill me to do that? You couldn't, like, call or something?"

"What would I have said; 'hi Madison, I'm your mother who's not actually dead, wanna catch up?'" Natalie raised an eyebrow.

The Supreme sighed, playing with a loose thread on her sweater.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"I came to tell you about your family." She looked over at her daughter sadly. "I know you've been looking for them."

"I know enough." Madison shrugged. "You were married with two kids – twins, but you were having an affair with a werewolf in the Bayou. You got pregnant with me and left your husband and kids to raise me with this werewolf but he was already married and didn't want me. So you raised me by yourself, and when it all got too much for you, you killed yourself. Right in front of me."

"Close, but not quite." The older woman shook her head. "I already had a family, yes, but I didn't love my husband like I loved your father. When I told him I was pregnant with you, we planned to runaway together. I came to the Bayou on the agreed day only to find that he, and his whole pack, had been murdered."

Madison didn't know how to react to this new information. After years of thinking her father didn't want her, she now knew the truth.

"So why didn't you go back to your husband?" She asked after a few moments of silence.

"I couldn't. He knew I had been unfaithful, and he wouldn't let me near him or my children," Natalie shrugged.

"Camille and Sean. They're your other children, right? My siblings."

"Yes."

-

"How long have we been here?" Madison questioned.

"A few hours. When you wake up it will be dark," her mother answered.

"And everything will be normal when I do? My baby will be okay?" Madison placed a hand on her flat stomach, missing her baby bump.

"Yes. It will be as if you were asleep," the older woman nodded, "but there's something else you should know."

"What?"

"I found out who murdered your father."

"Who was it?" Madison pressed, but her mother stayed silent. "Tell me who it was so that when I go back I can kill them, Natalie."

She sighed, "Marcel. It was Marcel."

"Oh my god," she muttered in shock.

"He didn't kill them all. Some he placed a curse on so that they would stay wolves until the full moon. They're hunted by the marks they carry – your crescent moon birthmark," Natalie explained. "I killed myself when you were little so that the witches would take you in and keep you safe. I never imagined that you would involve yourself with Marcel."

"I loved him," the Supreme held tears in her bright green eyes. "He knew about my birthmark. Why didn't he tell me?"

"Because he loved you too, and he wanted to keep you safe."

"How do you know?"

"I've seen the way he used to look at you," her mother shrugged. "It's the way Klaus looks at you when you aren't paying attention."

"All Klaus sees me as is the girl carrying his baby. He's gonna toss me to the side as soon as that child is born," Madison wiped her eyes.

"Silly girl. He's in love with you," Natalie chuckled, caressing her daughters cheeks. "But it's time for you to wake up now."

-

Hayley and Elijah walked back to the shack slowly after their encounter with the werewolf Eve.

"What happened?" Elijah questioned as they walked.

"I just met part of my family," Hayley said with a small smile, which quickly faded when she saw her sister's corpse once again. "Klaus is going to kill us when he finds out."

"Perhaps we should bury her – "

Elijah was unable to finish his sentence as he was cut off by a loud gasp followed by a series of coughs from Madison.

"Oh my god. Maddy?" Hayley rushed to her side, checking her to see if she was okay. "What the hell happened?"

"I don't, um, I don't remember," the blonde lied. "Can we please go home now?"

"Of course."

-

The trio sat in the driveway in Elijah's car, not yet ready to face Klaus.

"So, um, thanks for the ride but I'm gonna go," Madison pointed towards the house, quickly exiting the car.

She practically run up the front steps, swinging open the door and not bothering to close it as she frantically ran through the house trying to find Klaus.

"Madison," he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw her. "Thank god you're okay. I shouldn't have left you there. I'm sorry."

"It's okay," she whispered, wrapping her arms around him tightly.

"You're covered in blood," he observed, "what happened?"

"I died, but I'm alive now and the baby is okay, and that is all that matters."

-

Klaus stormed outside after his heated argument with Rebekah and Elijah, spotting Madison sitting on the front steps.

"You're coming with me, little witch," he extended a hand towards her which she instantly grabbed a hold of.

They walked towards the car but Madison stopped a few feet away from it.

"Wait. When I was dead I went to hell and I saw my mom," she began in a quiet voice. "She told me that you were in love with me."

"She was right," was his simple response.

"I've only ever been in love with one person before and that was Marcel, and I don't feel for you what I felt for him." Klaus' face dropped. "What I feel for you is so much stronger. I wanna spend every waking moment with you, and there is no one else's child I would rather be carrying."

He pressed his pink lips against hers and held her tighter. Madison felt saddened when he finally pulled away, not liking the loss of contact.

"Madison, you and that child you're carrying are the only things on this earth that matter to me, and I will kill anyone that even attempts to hurt either of you." He opened the passenger door and waited for her get in before closing it.

"Thank you," she whispered quietly, having never felt safer than when she was next to him.
