Chapter 4: A Suscpious Signal
Back to the rangers, Tyge's ears perked at hearing the communicator on his necklace beeping and his eyes went to it. The other rangers' accessories beeped too.
"Looks like the commander has a mission for us" Tyge pointed out. Zuna knelt down to his height. "Maybe he wants you to clean my room" she suggested with a large smile, hoping they buy it.
Horus, Lapara, Honey and Lóng looked at her unamused and annoyed. Tyge shook his head at her.
"Sorry Z. That mission is assigned to you. Not us. Catch ya later!" Tyge told her and zoomed off inside the house. The others followed after him, leaving the Jade siblings outside.
Zuna stomped her feet and growled annoyed. But then she remembered something "Hey wait! They're going to the teleporter right? Come on!" She turned to her brother and motioned her arm to let's go and she zoomed after them. Lóng sighed before he chased after her.
Zuna zoomed up the stairs to her room and caught a glimpse of the teleporter glowing as each Wild Ranger entered it.
"Wait for meeeeeee!" Zuna yelled as she lunged straight into the opened blue portal...well almost.
BAM! Lóng entered the room and spotted his sister with her face slammed into the teleporter. Zuna was this close but not fast enough to catch the portal before it closed. "Ow" she said, her face sore from smacking right into the metal teleporter.
Lóng winced at his sister's failed attempt, knowing that was gonna leave a mark. Zuna moved her face off the teleporter, rubbing her sore face with both hands to try and ease the pain.
"Well I guess that answers that question I had ever since we met the rangers" Lóng said. "What question was that?" Zuna asked him puzzled as she turned around to look at him, still rubbing her sore face.
"That Tyge is much faster than you" he told her, giving a small amused smile at her. Zuna growled more annoyed and insulted by that comment.
Back to the rangers...
The Wild Rangers arrived at the HQ, transformed into their ranger forms. Commander Iceberg was at the table as the rangers gathered around to hear what the next mission was.
"What do you have for us Commander?" Lapara asked him as the polar bear pulled up a blue hologram screen, showing a location. "We picked up a signal on Venoma and the Shadow Rangers, somewhere here in an abandon warehouse in Singapore" he explained as the screen changed to this image of a warehouse.
Horus, with his arms crossed, looked at the commander. "What are the Shadow Rangers doing at a warehouse in our area?" He asked him suspicious. Singapore was where the Wild Rangers and their human friends lived in. It seemed too close for comfort.
Commander Iceberg frowned. "We don't know. It seems that this time, it's only Venoma and the Shadow Rangers you encountered last time. But we don't know what they're planning or what they're doing in a location near humans. Not to mention, we picked up their signal pretty fast" he noted suspicious and concerned. Something didn't feel right to the commander.
"Whatever the reason..." Tyge's voice came up and everyone looked at him. "All that really matters is that we take down the Shadow Rangers before they could do anything" he told them calmly.
Horus shook his head at the tiger's lack of concern of their enemies' goals. "You really don't think on what our enemies could be up to. Defeated or not, it's still important that we know what they are planning so that we can plan to stop them" Horus explained to him as Tyge shrugged.
"Planning and thinking have never really been your strong points. Just like today when you disregarded keeping a low profile as rangers" he told him sternly.
The tiger glared at him as he walked up to the falcon "At least my lack of thinking and planning saved Zuna. We gotta be quick on our feet. Not slow down by thinking and planning which could waste our time" he argued with him annoyed as his ears flatten. Honey and Lapara looked at eachother, sighing as the two boys glared at eachother.
"Enough" Iceberg's voice came up sternly and loud for them to hear. The two boys turned to him. "You're both right in your opinions. Horus. Tyge is right that sometimes in certain situations, there might not be time to think so we must be quick" Iceberg explained to the falcon who looked down.
The polar bear turned to the white tiger "And Tyge. Horus is also right that you to need to think more. And to be more careful with hiding your identity as a Wild Ranger" he told him as the tiger looked away.
"Alright then. Go and stop the Shadow Rangers. And figure out what they're up to. Understood?" He told them all as he tapped on the table, sending the coordinates to the Wild Rangers' communicators to the ware house.
"Yes commander" all the rangers said before they went to the teleporter to go. But Iceberg still felt something was wrong. That the signal they picked up was too quick and easy. He only thought of one thing: what could the Shadow Rangers be up to?
