{Ch.7~That's What This was About?}

*im watching 'Grimm' for the first time and I'm on episode sixteen. It's so good and I'm mad at Juliette but I still kind of love her though. Oh, and I've started reading 'A Separate Peace' for English and Finny from the book reminds me of Finn Wolfhard but not too much? Anyways, I might another Finn book from his characteristics but make it...my own?

I showed Richie all of the cooler things I used to do when I was a little girl. That was until I had to go work out to paint our shed in the backyard. He was currently letting my younger cousins beat him up in the front yard and flirted with my aunts, my uncles had taken a liking to him. Maybe that was just because they all had vulgar senses of humor.

Just then an eruption of playful screams and laughs came around my house as Richie had himself enveloped in my younger family members. My cousins hung on his arms, legs, and back like he were a jungle gym. I rolled my eyes and scoffed at their ridiculousness, sometimes they play too much.

I ceased my chore and placed my hands on my hips, quirking my eyebrow at the mess of limbs and an exhausted Richie. I began shaking my leg impatiently as some of my cousins looked at my expression and quickly dropped to their own two feet.

"Off of him like that, he ain't a jungle gym and y'all are too old robe acting like that. Well most you, anyways." They all groaned and whines while dropping to the ground and walking away to the front.

"Oh come on, way to be a buzzkill, mom." Richie said as he walked over to me and laced his arms right under my butt and lifted me up, groaning as he did so. I leaned down and pecked his lips.

"I saved you," I said thumping his forehead, making him drop me to my feet. He rubbed the spot I flicked and wrapped his arms around my waist.

I unwrapped his arms and looked up to the familiar sight. A toy thrown up into the tree in my backyard, a frisbee to be exact. According to my younger cousin, Alessa, it has been there since school started and everyone else forgot about it. It was snug on a branch and I feel as if someone lifted me up then I could reach it. I separated myself from Richie and stepped under the tree.

I stood on my tippy-toes and extended my arm up to the disk but still couldn't reach it. Richie his chuckled at me and it made me kind of mad, even though I'm not short everything's change makes me feel kind of...sick— the the kind of sick I was before.

I scowled at him and raised one side of my upper lip as he spoke. He saw how I stopped caring so much about the toys for a second and used that opportunity to give me a kiss on the lips, a slower softer one. And followed it up with a kiss on the forehead. I wrapped my arms around his torso and he wrapped his over my shoulders.

I heard a series of giggles and whispers coming from the house and looked to see all of my little cousins whispering and giggling as they saw me and my boyfriend show affection for one another. I rolled my eyes and parted ways with Richie as I tried once more to stretch for the toy. I groaned as I couldn't get it, rolling my eyes. Worth a shot.

"Your cousins love me." He mused aloud. I chuckled at him and looked over at the shed, it reminded me of the one Michael used to have. It was red, my granny's favorite color.

"Yeah, literally, they're in love with you." I told him, the little girl I watched grow up were now making moves on my man. I feel attacked.

He laughed at the statement and let me pout at we both looked at the frisbee l, just staring at it, "Seems like a family trait type thing if you ask me."

I scoffed lovingly and hit his arm gently. The wind blew and leaves crunched as we still looked at frisbee and simultaneously pushed up our glasses, "Whatever." I tried jumping for the toy instead and he finally asked me.

"Need any help with that?" He chuckled, Richie found anything funny. I the leaves that I thought were rustling from the wind started to sound more manual. Like someone was making them crunch instead of nature itself.

"Nah, we got it." A sudden pressure was applied to my hips and I was life's into the air. I grabbed the disk and was set flat on my feet once more. I looked behind my shoulder and saw the familiar face. Michael.

"Thank you." I said smiling kindly and watching as Richie's while being tensed up. I frowned at his actions as he simply turned on his heels and walked off into the house. Oh my god, it's not even day two yet, it's not even day so yet. Why'd this all have to happen so early?

I hadn't seen Richie all day after that, I got more of the shed done and even threw out all of the garbage from the inside. To which I threw all of it out in the backyard somewhere. I was sweating bullets by the end of it and I cracked my knuckles about three times during all of this. It was easier since I had taken my ring off. The small ring that fit right around my ring finger sat on my vanity along with some makeup brushed, books, and I journal that I left here from back when.

I stopped at the bedroom door and looked at the boy who leans on the window sill and exhaled his problems, thoughts, and mind into the night.

"Stab some holes in your lungs why don't ya?" The question was a joke, and he new that. He even chuckle and looked over his shoulder at me.

"Thought you didn't mind when I smoke?" He then looked back at me once more and asked, "I can put it out if you'd like?" I shook my head and stalked towards him and wrapped my arms around his torso while I rested my cheek on his back.

"Help me with some boxes?" I asked of him. He nodded and smirked a bit as we stalked towards the backyard again. My mom looked at us as she snacked on a piece of pumpkin pie at the kitchen table. When we were out there we had carried several boxes out to the trash and went to go get the very last bits. I went down to pick up a box and watched as Richie was about to pick up a box  entirely too big for just him.

"That's too heavy for you." I dismissed him and his actions.

He groaned and slammed the box on the ground to try and storm off, whilst mumbling a, "Bet Travis could carry it." I raised my eyebrow at him and caught his arm and ran out in front of him.

"What was that?" I asked him making him stomp his feet a bit and groaning loudly.

"Nothing." He huffed which made me make a face of disgust and roll my eyes.

"No, Richard Tozier you tell me what's going on with you."  I demanded as he just grabbed and tugged at his roots.

"Baby, how is it that you're being so clueless. Travis is into you." He said to me, I shrugged and nodded as if it were not big deal because, well, it wasn't.

"You knew this whole time, why didn't you say anything?" He practically yelled at me in my face.

"Cause he's liked me since I pushed him into that shed, I never thought it mattered." I shrugged he looked at me as if I were insane.

"One man doesn't just steal another man's masculinity." He said coming towards me and standing so close that he hovered over me like some giant on a cliff.

"Okay, but you're manly enough for me." I said smiling at him. The comment made him blush and grin a lot. He cans a little closer his that was even possible.

"You really think so?"

"I've said it before and I'll say it again—you're not the same little boy that I fell in love with Richie Tozier." His expression dropped and he pushed past me and walked into the house. I was stuck outside with my own thoughts before I stormed after him.

"What's wrong with you, I said you had nothing to worry about." I told him as I walked into my old room with him.

"You always say that I'm not the same little boy you fell in love with, but not a day in our three years have you even said the simplest of words, 'I love you,' I'm tired of it." He huffed as he stood up and got into m my face again.

"Well, you've never told me you loved me, tell me what that's about." I said getting right back in his face.

"You're royalty in my eyes, I worship the ground you walk on and would carry you for eternity if it meant your feet wouldn't become damaged. Now, let's here yours," He took a glance down towards our feet, "you're not even wearing your ring. In other words, I love you."

He walked over towards the vanity and grabbed it off of the smooth surface and grasped it in his hands. He shook his head as he began collecting a blanket and my car keys. He's leaving?

"Where are you going?" I asked as I sat on my bed. He stood in the doorway, My Richie.

"Giving you some space, get your thoughts right. Giving you some time to think of you really wanna say it." He said beginning to walk away.

"Richie," I called him making him come back as I fiddled with my fingers, "that's what this is about?" He nodded at me and I began to smile at him widely, "I love you, too, Richie."

He showed me a grin the size of Alaska and he dropped everything on the floor and sprinted towards me. He tackled me into the bed and gave my face and neck kissed galore, muttering a request, "say it again."

"I love you, Rich."

"Again."

"I love you, Rich."

"And again."

"I love you, Richie Tozier..."
