{Ch.4~Going, Going, Gone}

"Awww, you're so sweet," my mother cooed jokingly as I pushed the black duffel bag into the my back seat, "but really, is he still sleeping, it's like eight-thirty?" She asked, I shrugged and thought about all of this. We were leaving today, the time eight-thirty-one in the morning. Richie slept over and brought his bags with him. My mother and I were currently packing up our cars for our trip. It'd be a long one.
"He's not a morning person, like at all," I said to her as I shut my car door, "but I'll go wake him up." I said as we both locked our cars and headed back in side. We weren't leaving for a little while, just because we were lazy.
I walked into my room quietly to see a comfortable, peaceful, and adorable looking Richard Tozier. Huh, Richard. I never really called him that, only unless I felt it was necessary. Here's another thing I've learned about my boyfriend: he only ever tolerated his full name when he thought he deserved it. Like when he broke my closet door and I screamed it at him; Richard Michael Tozier!
Anyways, back to said boyfriend, I was waking him up. At first it was just a gentle name call, but that didn't work so I now sat next to him on the bed and rubbed his bare back gently.
"Baby," I said, leaning down by his ear, "it's time to wake up, time to get dressed." He still smelled of evergreen and pine from his shower last night. The smell has had my mind fuzzed ever since then.
He stirred in his sleep and turned his head so that he faced me. After a moment he opened his eyes and rubbed them cutely as he yawned. He then looked at me for a moment and smiled tiredly at me, puckering his lips. I leaned down with a smile and kissed his lips, making him sit up and stretch, he looked at the time on the clock on my nightstand before realizing how blurry it must've been.
He grabbed his glasses and looked, as did I, eight-thirty-five, "you guys are up?" He asked hoarsely I nodded and brushed some of his curls from his eyes before standing up and walking over to my dresser drawers. He watched me as I fiddled about some of the clothes that I hadn't packed away. I pulled out a shirt, some jeans, even a pair of socks I had balled up.
I carried them over the my tired, half-naked boyfriend. A lot of the times Richie came over he slept without his pants on, and like I had mention once, he hardly ever sleeps with a shirt on. I think he does it mainly to try something with me, it never works.
"Thank you, precious." He kissed my temple before slipping on his shirt and standing up to do the same to his pants. He sat back down next to me and I handed him his socks, watching as he slipped those on as well. He looked at me and opened his one arm over my shoulders, instinctively I fell into his side and looked up at him.
"How are you not tired?" He asked, I thought about all of the experience I've had with waking up early for fishing or early morning ATV rides with dad.
"I used to wake up to go fishing when I was small, riding ATVs with my dad," I smiled at the memories, "or doing this market, when I was home my mom would open up her stand. It was good business for her catering." I said, he sighed and fell back into my bed, taking me with him.
"We leaving soon?" He asked, looking down at me, "yeah, I put your stuff in the car. Let's eat." I said to him, sitting up.
As we were eating I had gotten a call. I walked out of the kitchen and by the stairs where out phone was, weird place to keep a phone. I answered the phone after taking a sip of my orange juice.
"Hello?" Eddie? Like, Eddie Kaspbrak?
"Hello, Eds?" I was shocked, he never really called me, like ever. We see each other too much for all of that.
"Hey, Arri, yeah, I just wanted to talk, is-uh- is that okay?" He asked, I chuckle at his nervousness.
"Yeah, I got a few minutes, what's up, Eddie?" I liked talking to Eddie, he's the only Loser I haven't spoken to this morning. I've talked to everyone, the first being Bev, Richie actually got mad since it was so early and he couldn't cuddle me right. Then was Stan, Bill (and Georgie), Ben, then Mike. I even talked to Anna for a bit.
"I just," He sighed, "I dunno, I guess I missed you? Is that not okay?"
I could break at those words, "that's perfectly fine, Eddie, you don't have to miss me, I'll always be here, I'm not staying for good."
"Yeah, I know, it's just," I could hear him breathe shakily, "I'm just really gonna miss you." I furrowed my brows at the boy. What has been his deal lately, he's been growing more and more distant, but at the same time he's been clingy and different. I don't know what's up with him, but I wanna help.
"Edward Kaspbrak, stop that, I want you to talk to me the way you've always spoken to me. I'm your friend and you're never leaving me," He was silent over the phone, "I love you, Eddie." I said softly, my voice cracking a bit. Yeah, I loved all of my Losers, I didn't want any of us to forget one another, why would we? I wanted him to see that too.
"Arri-"
"No, I'm gonna call you everyday while I'm on this trip and you better answer," I exhaled harshly, "if you don't I will kick your ass."
"Why do you care so much, things change, everything changes?" He said.
"Say that one more time and I'll jump through this phone and punch you. We got each other, were on our way up, we're all most kings again. The kingdom can't fall now." I said.
"Alright, Arri, Okay, you win," he sighed making me smile happily, "I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Okay, have a nice day, Eds, take care." I bud him a good bye.
"Oh and Arri?"
"Yeah, Eddie?"
"I love you..."
"I love you too..."
How come I can say it to Eddie and not Richie?
