1 (Part 1) - Framed

The guy that started dancing with me on the dance floor gripped my hips tightly as he gyrated against my back. I didn't spare him a glance. He'll go away eventually. They always do. As long as he keeps his hands where it should be, there won't be any problem. Besides, Club Orion belonged to Stefano Profaci. He's one of my dad's friends who is a member of New York's La Nostra Famiglia. Most of the people here in Los Angeles knows who he is and they're smart enough not to stir any trouble of any kind.

The room started spinning. As usual, I drank too much this evening. Blame it on my friends, Gabby and Corrine, who enjoyed throwing drinking challenges at me. Shit. I need to stop my excessive intake of alcohol. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up in someone's bed one night. Yeah, I should definitely learn how to say no next time.

I closed my eyes, ignoring the guy who was still dancing in the back. My eyes fluttered open when I felt him bumping his dick against my ass. "What the hell, dude?" I glanced over my shoulder in disgust. "You're too fucking close!"

He couldn't hear me due to the loud music. He had his eyes closed while he danced. Whatever. I rolled my eyes and I continued dancing as well. Then all of a sudden, his left hand groped my breast while his right hand snaked underneath the back of my skirt, pulling my thong down.

"You sick fuck!" I spun around and slapped him across the face as hard as I could. He stumbled back, surprised. Blood started to drip from the scratches on his left cheek where I struck him with my talon like sharp nails. The guy had a septum piercing and he was tall and lanky with a face that was filled with acne pitted scars.

"You bitch!" He yelled. "Let me teach you a fucking lesson! Let's see if you could still walk after what I'm about to do to you!"

Before he could advance forward, one huge bouncer grabbed his arms and threw him hard against the wall. Screams filled the air and the loud music stopped. Another guy grabbed him in the other arm and they both dragged him out of the club. My friends Corrine and Gabby ran over to my side.

"What the hell was that?" Gabby squeaked with wide blue eyes. She had red lipstick smeared across her face and disheveled blonde hair.

"Where were you guys?" I reached underneath to fix my thong. "Never mind, you don't need to tell me."

"Vienna, are you okay?" Corrine asked as she scanned me from head to toe. "Are you hurt?" She looked guilty for leaving me by myself on the dance floor. "I thought you said that this club was safe? And what if your father finds out?"

"As if he cares." I said, walking back to our booth to retrieve my purse. "Anyway, my head hurts, so I'm heading home. I'll see you bitches mañana." They both hugged me tight and escorted me towards the club's exit door.

"Will you be okay? Did you call for a cab already?" Corrine asked, concerned laced in her voice. Compared to Gabby, Corrine was the most reliable friend. Gabby was always a few steps behind, so I don't even expect much from her.

I checked my phone for the time. It was nearly one in the morning. I contemplated whether I wanted to walk or take a cab. My house was just a few blocks from here, so walking shouldn't be that hard. My head was spinning non-stop as I walked through the crosswalk. Maybe I should have called for a cab. Once I reached the other side, I stepped out of my black Louboutins and felt a sigh of relief. Before I could continue my way down the sidewalk, a cop car pulled up at the curb. The red and blue lights flashing was too bright, it made my headache worse as if my head was being split. Two police officers came out. It was a man and a woman.

"Hello, Miss," the woman approached me first while the guy stood next to their car. "You probably had too much to drink. Do you need help getting home?"

"No, I'm fine, officer," I replied politely. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way."

"Excuse me, Ma'am," the guy officer blocked my path. "Is it okay if we check your bag really quick?"

My eyebrows shot up. "And why do you need to do that?"

"Someone reported that you are in possession of illegal drugs," The female police officer pointed at my purse. I looked down and back up at the two officers. Say what? "If you give us consent to search you, there won't be any problem."

"You gotta be fucking kidding me. I don't have drugs in my bag," I shook my head and handed my purse to the woman. Illegal drugs, my ass. "Now hurry up, I really want to puke right now."

The woman unzipped my purse and reached inside. She looked at me with pale eyebrows drawn together. She carefully pulled out a small clear plastic pouch with white powder in it. My stomach plummeted. Wait, what? How did that get in there? She brought it up to her nose to smell it and nodded at the guy next to her. My head spun around as she spoke to me. I could hear the guy reciting the Miranda rights to me as he was placing handcuffs on my wrists, but I was too intoxicated to understand the rest of it.
