Even though StarRun wasn't honorable, Venus still cared. StarRun was just a colt. Katie broke through the crowd. She was very, VERY strict. Katie had thrown out a newborn filly just for running off. Venus stood there in silence. StarRun stood there in silence. Why did the leader stallion choose Katie as second in command? He knew how she would do anything to hurt or kill disobedient foals! Venus thought.
StarRun slashes his hoofs at Katie and said, "don't touch me! If you do, I will kill you!"
Venus was shocked. StarRun was that tough? She started to think StarRun wasn't that bad anymore. He was just a colt.
Katie banged herself into StarRun. He fell and didn't get up. Venus's heart pounded. Was he dead? StarRun got up weakly and collapsed.
"Get me instead of StarRun!" Venus called. What am I doing? I'm gonna get myself killed! There was no turning back now. Katie started to charge toward her and..."Stop that!" It was StarRun. Now? What are we doing? Saving each other? I never saw StarRun bring peace! He always loves watching horses die or get kicked out.
"Get me instead of her, Katie!" He called. Katie looked from StarRun to Venus. "Please, Katie! Venus is innocent!"
Suddenly CloudTree the leader stallion came. "No colt nor filly gets hurt. Katie, you are no longer part of this herd!"
Before Katie could protest, a bunch of horses pushes her out.
"Good job, Venus," CloudTree said.

Venus woke up from a nightmare. It was still dark out. She watched the horses sleep. Venus just remember what had happened yesterday. StarRun was sleeping. Venus saw his eye blink open, and she noticed he was awake.
StarRun walked up to Venus, head held high as if he was the boss. "I saved you."
"No. I saved you," Venus said.
"Actually you saved us. CloudTree said you did a good job, and it's true," StarRun said.
Venus sighed. "Yeah, yeah, I know." I still don't know what I done!
"Want to escape and start a..a.new herd?" StarRun asked mischievously.
"That's not showing honor. Our hearts remain in our herd."
"It's okay. Your young. Actually I'm younger than you..." Venus paused as she noticed that she had hurt StarRun's feelings.
A wolf howled and woke up the herd. There was a pack of wolves, and Venus knew something was going to happen. They were under attack.....
