Venus cowered. StarRun did same. The wolves were getting closer. StarRun unexpectedly charged at the wolves. Venus gasped. She ran after StarRun.
"Grrr, you think your going to save your herd?" One of the wolves said.
StarRun kicked one of the wolves. For Venus thought StarRun had killed the wolf, but the wolf started to get back up. He growled and bit StarRun. I have to do something! Venus thought.
StarRun neighed in pain. Venus ran to StarRun. He was laying down in the grass. Venus saw the wolves crouching toward the herd, and she knew it was the herd's end. If Venus tried to save her herd, she would get killed.
But Venus still knew she couldn't let her herd down. But then she remembered StarRun getting bit and she ran to StarRun to make sure he was alive. His legs were moving but his eyes were closed.
StarRun, please stay! You may had some problems yesterday and..and.. Venus thought. She burst into tears. She went to look at her herd but all she saw was dead horses everywhere.
StarRun weakly got up. Venus said, "We should go before the wolves come back."
"Are you serious? We just leave these poor horses?" StarRun said.
"But if the wolves come back, we would be-" StarRun cut Venus off saying, "Great idea!"
Venus rolled her eyes. Really, StarRun? That easy-going? I never saw him like that!
"So where do we go?" StarRun asked.
"Where there is no danger."
So they, StarRun and Venus, started their journey.
