EPILOGUE

4 years later

JACE's POV

After cooking, I merrily set the table. A contented smile appeared on my lips when I was finally done. It has been a while since I cooked for my family and I felt great. Today's a special day because it's our firstborn's birthday.

I've even asked one of my friends to teach me how to make these particular dishes and luckily, I succeeded on perfecting it in a short period of time.

I wanted to cook dinner instead of breakfast but we already have planned our surprise tonight for JC's birthday.

I then went upstairs to wake up my wife and children. I first went to our room and found my beautiful wife still sleeping like a log. But then, my steps came to a halt when I noticed that the blanket was already on the bottom part of the bed and her sexy figure was displayed before my hungry eyes.

I swallowed hard. She was only wearing her negligee and damn, she looked so seductive and sexy! My friend down there automatically came into life.

I came up here without any trace of sexual intention in me. I was just intending to just wake her up, but now, looked like my plan has changed.

I quickly got into bed, careful enough not to wake her up yet. I then slowly began pulling the hem of her negligee upwards up to her waist. I then began kissing her legs while my, slowly kissing my way upwards while my fingers began pulling her panties down.

When her sweet mound finally came into view, I gave it a kiss while continuously pulling her panties down until I finally succeeded on taking it off her. When I successfully removed that tiny garment off her, I was about to part her legs when she spoke.

"And what do you think you're up to, Mr. Montejo?" I grinned at her. She finally woke up.

"You're awake." She rolled her eyes.

"Of course, I would. Who could remain sleeping like that after all that disturbance?" She asked with an eyebrow cocked up. I laughed.

"Well, I was about to just wake you up but I ended up like this because you looked so damn hot while sleeping like that." I then parted her legs and my mouth watered when I saw her already wet core. I felt like a live fire engulf my whole being and the desire and lust that I was feeling doubled.

"Damn! No matter how many times we do this, I can't get enough of you, mi amor." I then gave her a lick and she moaned seductively. She closed her eyes while biting her lower lip as her hand pulled a handful of my hair as she spread her legs even more.

Her wild response made my body hotter. I couldn't control myself anymore. I wanted her now! I was about to continue I was doing when we heard a series of knocks on the door.

"Mommy, daddy, wake up! We're gonna be late!" Christine and I looked at each other when we recognized that voice. It was JC. My wife laughed.

"Sorry, my dear husband, but we need to get ready." She then sat up, reached for her panties and put it back on.

"H-Hey, where do you think you're going, mi amor? We haven't even started yet." I rebuked and tried to stop her but she already got off the bed.

Christine laughed. "Oh, God, mi amor. You look like a horny teenager." Amusement was evident on her face.

"I am damn horny, mi amor." Her cheeks went red upon hearing what I've answered.

"You're really hopeless—" She couldn't finish her sentence because our son knocked again.

"Mommy, daddy, wake up!" I groaned inwardly. Talking about blue balls. She chuckled and then approached me.

"Let's just continue this tonight." She said and then kissed me on the cheek.

"Really?" My excitement came back. She laughed and shook her head.

"Oh, God! You're really insatiable!"

"Only to you, mi amor. Only to you." She rolled her eyes but the smile on her face told me that she was giddy. The series of knocks continued.

"Mommy, daddy!" This time, it was our second child who was calling for us. Christine shook her head amusedly before finally opening the door.

Our two boys came in with furrowed eyebrows while looking at the both of us alternately.

"Mommy, daddy, why weren't you answering us? Were you busy doing something?" It was JC. I almost choked with my own spit while Christine's cheeks on the other hand reddened. I knew for sure that JC didn't mean anything of what he said but he hit the nail on the head.

"Sorry, buddy. Your mommy and I were just busy." My wife gave me a look and I couldn't help but chuckle. She was about to speak when our younger child interrupted her.

"Good morning, mommy!" Chad Josiah, our second child happily greeted Christine and then asked her to carry him. We also call him CJ.

"Good morning, sweetheart. I thought you're already a big boy? Why do you still want mommy to carry you?" My wife asked and our youngest grinned. He's already four years old but he still loves being carried.

"Because I love mommy so much!" He kissed his mommy's cheeks.

"What about, daddy, son? Won't you greet daddy good morning too?" I asked CJ and he quickly asked his mommy to put him down and then ran towards me.

"Good morning, daddy!" He hugged and kissed me on the cheeks too. I ruffled his hair fondly. He's really a cheerful child and very mommy's boy.

I looked at JC who was still pouting. "What about you, buddy? Won't you greet mommy and daddy good morning?"

"I was supposed to, but CJ already did it first." I chuckled amusedly. He's already 8 years old and he's growing up so fast. I couldn't believe that it has been more than four years since he came back home to us.

"Aw, my son is sulking. Come here." Christine opened her arms and JC gladly hugged his mother.

"Good morning, mommy."

"Good morning too." She then cupped JC's face and then stared at him. "Happy birthday, sweetheart. I love you." Christine kissed his forehead. JC finally smiled.

"Thank you, mommy. I love you too." I stood up and then went closer to them.

"Happy birthday, son. Daddy cooked breakfast for you and of course, for your mommy and CJ too."

"Thank you, daddy." He hugged me. I kissed his forehead. I knew why he's sulking. Maybe he thought that we forgot about his game and his birthday.

"Mommy, daddy, what about my game? Did you forget about it?" He asked out of the blue. I knew it.

"Of course not, son. Your mommy and I were about to go out of our room when you and CJ came here." I answered. Well, it was true. I was about to wake them up, but my libido got the best of me because of seeing my tempting wife sleeping in bed.

Forgetting our sons' special occasions was not in Christine's and I vocabulary. We see to it that they're our priority.

"Your daddy is right, sweetheart. We would never forget about your basketball game. C'mon, go down to the kitchen with your daddy and CJ. Mommy will just wash my face." My wife said.

"C'mon, guys. Let's eat the breakfast that daddy prepared."

"Really, daddy? You were really the one who cooked breakfast today?" It was CJ.

"Yes, son. Why? Don't you like it?"

"Hmmm...Let's see. The last time you cooked something, it was fine." Christine and I laughed because of what our younger son said. I ruffled his hair.

"You're really daddy's number one critic when it comes to cooking." CJ beamed.

"That's why make sure that the breakfast you prepared is delicious, mi amor. You know our sons. They're going to criticize everything for sure." I scratched the back of my head because of what my wife said.

"Well, to be fair, daddy's effort is 10/10 so even if it's not delicious, I will still eat it." JC voiced out which made me smile. Even though our firstborn was kinda picky eater just like his younger brother, he knows how to appreciate effort.

"That's my boy." I couldn't be prouder of my sons. Even though they're naughty sometimes, they know when to stop. They're growing up the right way. Their respect towards us as their parents is always there.

After that, the three of us went down and later on, Christine joined us.

"How's daddy's cooking, sweethearts?" Christine asked our kids while we're in the middle of eating.

"It's delicious, mommy. I like it." It was CJ. My wife smiled proudly at me.

"Really, buddy? You're not saying that so that daddy won't feel sad?" He shook his head.

"No, daddy. It's really delicious." He then continued eating with gusto.

"CJ is right, daddy. This is the most delicious food that you've cooked." JC complimented and I felt so happy and relieve at the same time. I thought, I would receive harsh remarks again. Well, my kids don't insult me nor say bad things about my cooking.

They just say the truth without second thoughts which was always making Christine shake her head in amusement. Well, our sons were just being honest so it's okay for me.

About two hours later, we went to the basketball game of JC. It was his second tournament and Christine and I were so excited. Last year, JC's team got the third place that's why he trained so hard for this year.

He really loves playing basketball and he's good at it.

"Go, JC! Go, JC! Go, JC!" Christine and CJ cheered loudly which made me chuckle. It hasn't started yet but they're already so hyper. They were even holding posters which says 'Go, CJ!' which CJ made. He loves drawing and he's good at it.

I looked at the time. The game was about to start but they haven't arrived yet. I huffed. JC would be disappointed for sure if they couldn't come.

When they finally introduced each players of each team, we cheered as loud as we could for JC and he looked happy about it but I could tell that his eyes were looking for them. I grunted.

When the game finally started, his energy wasn't like the usual.

"Son, you can do it! Go!" I cheered for him loudly. He nodded his head at me. Then, he managed to steal the ball and dribbled his way towards the basket to score but it didn't go in.

"Aw! JC, what are you doing?" CJ screamed in frustration. Christine looked at me.

"Where are they? JC has been looking forward for today because they promised to be here." She sounded disappointed. I huffed and then took my phone out from my pocket. I was about to dial when CJ squealed.

"Papy, mamie!" He stood up and then greeted them with a hug.

"Sorry, guys, we're late. There was a road accident and we got stuck there for about 45 minutes." It was my mother. She was with my father. Yes, my father came back to the family and we accepted him with open arms.

I knew for so long that my mother still loved my father and I didn't want to hinder them with happiness. Besides, Christine and I managed to forgive my father and now, my parents are together again. Christine and I greeted them with a hug.

"I'm glad the first quarter hasn't finished yet. I don't want JC to think that we don't want to watch his game." My father said.

"Don't worry, dad. JC is a smart kid and if it happened that you couldn't come because of the road accident, he would surely understand." My father smiled and then tapped my shoulder.

"I know, son. I'm just happy that we made it." I was about to answer when another group arrived. It was my parents in law and Marco and Maggie together with their children. We happily greeted them and after that, we cheered for JC loudly.

The moment everyone arrived, we noticed the changed JC's play. Now, his true motivation and skill resurfaced. Because of that, he did great. He scored many times and we couldn't be any prouder.

When the game ended, everyone of us were happy because JC's team won. But just as planned, everyone told JC that they needed to go somewhere.

"I'm sorry, JC, but papy and mamie need to attend an urgent meeting." My father said apologetically, and JC looked disappointed.

"But it's already late, papy. Can't you at least stay for an hour to celebrate with us?" We didn't mention about his party to him.

"Sorry, JC. But don't worry, we'll make it up to you next time, okay?" JC nodded his head even though he looked like he was about to cry.

"Sorry, darling, but we need to go as well. We need to fly to Houston for an urgent matter." It was my mother in law.

"You too, grandma, grandpa?" He asked in disbelief.

"Even your Aunt Maggie and her family need to go home as well. I'm sorry that we can't celebrate with you. Don't worry because you have your parents and your brother here." My mother in law answered and then kissed JC's forehead.

JC looked down, obviously sad, but then nodded his head. When everyone left, we tried to lift up his modd.

"What do you want, son? Do you want us to eat at the restaurant to celebrate?" I asked while we're on our way to our car.

"They didn't even greet me happy birthday, daddy." He pouted without answering my question. Christine and I looked at each other discreetly and then smiled.

"Maybe, they just forgot, sweetheart. Don't worry because we'll call them later." Christine said and then hugged our son.

"But mommy, daddy and I greeted you, JC, so it's okay. You don't have to be sad." CJ uttered, looking so sad just like JC.

"Your brother is right, son. No need to be sad. We're here for you. So, what do you want for us to do before going home?"

"Let's just eat burritos, daddy." He still looked down but we tried our best to cheer him up. We went to a Mexican restaurant and ordered take away. The restaurant was full and the kids didn't want to wait.

Because the kids were already starving, they ate their food in the car while we were on our way home.

When we arrived, JC was still down and so was CJ. He was affected of his big brother's mood.

When we arrived home, the entire house was dark just like we've planned and the kids noticed it.

"Mommy, why is it dark in here?" CJ asked while we're getting out of the car.

"Maybe there's a power interruption, sweetheart." Christine answered.

"Boys, can you open the door, please?" I told them as I took our things.

"Okay, daddy." The two opened the double doors and imagine their surprise when all the lights lit up and everyone was there.

"Happy birthday, JC!" They all said loudly in unison and the sad face of our son finally brightened upon seeing everyone there.

"Mommy, daddy, did you plan all this?" He asked happily.

"Yes, sweetheart. We didn't want you to be sad on your birthday, so we invited everyone." He rushed towards us and hugged us.

"Thank you, mommy, daddy!"

"You're welcome, son." After that, JC thanked everyone for coming to his birthday. We didn't tell him that we were planning on having a party in order to surprise him. It was our first time surprising him like this and it a success.

Our families just lied when they said that they needed to leave New York. It was just their alibi so that they could join the surprise.

I could see the happiness on JC's face while hugging everyone and thanking them for coming. I looked at my wristwatch. It was already 6 pm. The party will start at 7 pm so we went upstairs to freshen up and get ready for the party.

The 8th birthday of JC will be held at the garden in the backyard of our house. We told the boys not to go there since yesterday because people were there, decorating the place.

Thankfully, JC and CJ didn't suspect anything and didn't have any idea about the surprise. We didn't tell CJ about it because he would tell his big brother for sure.

My friends at TBG together with their families came as well. The members of the 'pussy-whipped club' increased now and it was funny watching them eat their words. Now, they're so in love with their wives. Only a few of our friends were still single. Even JC's friends were there too.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming to our son, JC's birthday. Thank you because you joined the surprise and made our son happy by attending this special event. Anyway, to you, JC. I just want to take this opportunity to say how proud I am because you're my son.

"Ever since you came back to us, you've been nothing but joy to me and your mother. I hope that you will achieve your goals in life and continue being a good person. Happy birthday and I love you." I said when it was time for me to speak on the stage.

"Thank you, daddy. I love you." He hugged me and I hugged him back.

"I forgot to say that I'm so proud because JC's team won their basketball match today!" I announced and everyone clapped. After that, it was Christine's turn to speak. She became a little bit emotional but the happiness on her face was undeniable.

Even CJ had his chance to speak on the stage too.

Later on, it was time for the magician to perform and the kids enjoyed it so much. After that, it was time for the parents and children's games and it was so fun.

JC and CJ were so competitive that they joined every game. Even the children of Angela and Hunter, Maggie and Marco, and our friends', joined as well and it was so fun to watch.

Then, it was time to eat. Christine and I's family were sitting together at one big table.

"Grandpa is so proud of you, JC. We don't have a basketball player in the family and you're the first one. I'm sure that you will be a great basketball player one day. Just train more and you will surely make it." My father in law, Robert Lenard, said to JC and the latter beamed full of joy.

"Thank you, grandpa. It's my dream to be a successful basketball player one day so I'll train harder." That made Christine and I smile. He's still young but he already knows what he wants.

"Are you sure that basketball is your only goal, sweetie? Don't you have another dream?" It was my mom.

"Hmmm. I want to travel around the world with mommy, daddy and CJ."

"What about your future job, sweetie? Don't you have anything in mind yet?" I sighed.

"Mom, JC is only 8 years old. He will surely think about that when the time comes. For now, his goal is basketball so we will support him with that as long as he doesn't neglect his studies." I said. It was my mother's turn to sigh.

"I know. It's just that—" Whatever she wanted to say was cut off when my father interrupted her.

"Honey, your son is right. JC will surely find out what he really wants aside from basketball in the future. For now, let's just support him and make sure to not pressure him with anything because that will not be good for him."

"Fine. You two won. I give up." My mom conceded and that made us laugh. Now, there wasn't any awkwardness between me and my father anymore. When I've accepted him into our lives, I've thrown any resentment and anger that I had for him behind.

I did that because I saw his efforts. Yes, he did his best to earn our forgiveness and trust. I knew it wasn't easy for him that time but he didn't give up on us.

I realized that everything that happened was Doctor Baron's fault and that I shouldn't blame Mantus or my father any longer. Everyone of us became the victim of Doctor Baron. Thankfully, I made the right decision of opening my heart for my father because now, my sons were so attached to him and even to Mantus.

JC and CJ enjoy spending time with their grandparents so much and everytime I see the smile on their faces, I knew that I did the right thing.

After the meal, it was the kids' turn to greet JC one by one as they give their gifts to him. The first one who greeted him was Marky. He was already 7 years old. He looked so cute with his outfit. He looks like a younger version of his father, Marco.

"Happy birthday, JC. I wish that you won't bully me anymore."

"Hey, you're the one who bullies me sometimes." JC answered and everyone laughed.

Well, the two bully each other sometimes but not to the point of hurting each other. It's just their way of make fun of each other. Unlike the first time they met, they're very close now and Christine once said that the two boys' closeness reminds her of Marco and Kyrus' friendship.

Everyone laughed even more when Marky gave his gift. "Hey, this is my robot toy that you borrowed last week." JC said. The robot wasn't even wrapped.

"Yes. I'm giving it back to you now." Marky answered with a grin and I couldn't help but to laugh. Kids.

"Hey, buddy. Stop making fun of your cousin. That's not your gift to him." It was Marco who came forward to give the big box to Marky. I shook my head. Marky really knows how to make fun of his cousin.

The next one who greeted JC was Maia Julianne. The younger sibling of Marky. Maia was only four months older than CJ. She looked like a little princess in her outfit. To my amusement, Marco was the one who was carrying her gift for JC because it was bigger than her.

Then the other cousins of JC such as Scarlet, Jayden, Aiden, Hunt Zadkiel and Aniela greeted him as well. Ellie and her children couldn't attend the party because it was too dangerous for the kids to go out in the public yet. No one aside from the Lenard, Novel and Amouretti family knows that Avellie and Rexus exist.

Ellie wasn't sure if her lover was still alive or not and she couldn't take the risk of letting the kids out in the open yet because of what happened in the past.

After all the birthday greetings, we sang happy birthday to JC who has an 8- layer cake, symbolizing his age.

Seeing him so happy like that made Christine and I happy too. After the party and he was about to sleep, we decided to tell him about our gift.

"Is this true, mommy, daddy? We're going to tour around the world starting on our summer vacation?" He asked excitedly and Christine and I nodded our heads.

"Yes, sweetheart. It's one of your dreams, right?"

"Yes, mommy! Thank you so much." He kissed us both on the cheeks and then hugged us.

"Of course, we can't go to every country that you want to visit at once so every school vacation, you have to choose which country we should go to."

"Yes, daddy! I will!" His face was full of excitement.

"Just remember to study hard in school, sweetheart."

"Of course, mommy. I want to make you and daddy proud, so I'll study hard."

"That's our son. Responsible and smart." JC beamed and then hugged us again.

"Thank you again, mommy, daddy. I'm so happy right now."

"You're welcome, sweetheart. We love you so much that's why we want you to be happy." JC was about to answer when CJ butted in.

"What about me, mommy, daddy?" His little eyebrows ere creased.

"Of course, we love you too, sweetheart. Come here." He gladly obliged and hugged us too.

When I was younger, I told myself not to be like my father. He wasn't there for me while growing up and it left a big hole in my heart.

Now, I could proudly say to myself that I did it. Even though I wasn't a perfect father to my children, I could proudly say that my kids are happy being my children. My family is happy and that's the most important for me. I couldn't ask for more.

After that, Christine and I went to our room.

"Why are you grinning at me like that?" My wife asked with an eyebrow cocked up. We were about to lay down.

"Well, you know what's next, right?" I asked playfully and her forehead crinkled.

"What else other than to sleep?" I clucked my tongue three times before I pulled her by the waist until her soft body landed on top of me. She gasped in surprise.

"Jace!" I smirked.

"C'mon, mi amor. You promised." Her lips parted before she smacked me on the arm.

"You still remember about that?"

"Of course, mi amor. I've been looking forward since this morning." She shook her head in disbelief.

"You're really hopeless." I chuckled.

"Only for you, mi amor. Besides, we should double our efforts now. I want to have our little princess soon."

"You really want a baby girl, huh?"

I smiled. "Yes, mi amor. You know how much I've been looking forward for it." I then began kissing her neck while my hands began roaming around her sexy body.

"Ohhh...wait—"

"What?" I asked but didn't stop what I was doing.

"My period is delayed, and I think—" I stopped with eyes widened and looked at her.

"You're pregnant?" I couldn't hide my excitement.

"I think so." Upon hearing that, I got off the bed and then ran towards the terrace.

"Yahoo!" I yelled full of joy and my wife followed me.

"Shhh! The kids are probably sleeping by now!" She rebuked but I ignored what said and then kissed her hard on the lips.

"I'm the happiest man alive." I said when our lips pulled away.

"Hey, I'm not sure that I'm pregnant yet."

"You're pregnant. I can feel it." She rolled her eyes.

"What if it's a boy again?"

"Then, I'll get you pregnant again." Her eyes widened.

"What?!"

"Of course, mi amor. As they say, try and try until you succeed." I said playfully and she pinched me on my stomach a couple of times.

"I can't believe you! You—" Whatever she wanted to say was cut off when I sealed her lips with a passionate kiss. The fire between us instantly ignited. I scooped her up onto my arms and then carried her to our bed.

There, we made love over and over again until we couldn't lift a finger. I felt so happy. Even though we haven't confirmed her pregnancy yet, I could tell that she was already.

"Oh, God. You really tired me out." She complained after that. I smirked.

"Well, it's our way of celebrating because we received another blessing." I answered and then kissed her tummy. She smiled.

"You're really happy."

"And I know that you're happy too." I answered. She smiled.

"Of course, I am." I kissed my way upwards until our lips met.

"I love you so much, mi amor." I whispered huskily. Her eyes watered.

"I love you so much too. Thank you for being the best husband to me and father to our children." Suddenly, my eyes watered as well.

Yes, this is our life now. Sometimes, there are down moments, but we make sure that our love for each other is there. My family is the greatest blessing that I've ever received, and I couldn't ask for more.
