"bang-pd, i think they're ready." the woman in the lab coat announced, pointing at the seven doors that were spread out along the corridor. "we've done a lot of tests on the boys, and i think they're good to go. we've given them intense training that packs several years of knowledge into a few months, so they should be pretty amazing for a rookie group."

"that's great, thank you dahee." the producer smiled, walking and staring through the rectangular windows to get a view of his new rookies.

"they have a restraining collar on, which we've called 'electric hit'. if they ever go out of control, or act inhumanly, then press the button corresponding to them and a wave of electricity will shock them back to normal. you can change the setting depending on the situation, also."

"fancy!" bang-pd grinned like a small child, excited by this new equipment he could use. "what can i do now, dahee?"

"you need to pick the leader, which might be a lot harder than picking one for bts." dahee ushered for him to follow her down the corridor, pointing out all the creatures as they walked down. "you have a bunny, a bear, a monkey, a-"

"cheetah." bang-pd was staring at a boy who had a long, spotted tail, and dark spots over his skin. he was currently chasing a mouse about the room, the producer assuming that was his food. the boy pushed his red hair out of his face, and caught the eye of bang-pd, who smiled and waved at the hybrid. in response, the boy gave a small wave and grabbed the mouse in between his teeth, small bits of blood dripping down his chin and onto his white shirt. "dahee, i think i've chosen my leader."

"ahh, he's a sweetie. great choice, bang-pd!" dahee said to the man, slipping a sticker through the slot of the cheetah's door. "the others will show you what their skills are when they debut, but for now, let's finish off the paperwork in the office, shall we?" and bang-pd followed dahee out of the corridor.

the cheetah sighed, picking up the sticker and attempting to read what it said. he laid down and stared at the ceiling, inhaling and exhaling loudly in the somewhat silent room. he wondered how his friends were getting on in the other rooms, and when they would be set free of this boring room. it's just eat and sleep. he wished that he could be able to run wild in the world, and breathe in the crisp air outside of the laboratory.

"do you think we'll escape, mama?" he thought out loud, speaking to his mum - who clearly can't hear him plead for support. "i hope we do, this place gets very boring nowadays. will i ever see papa again, either? i miss you, papa, and libby dearly. please let me come home to you, mama." his tail curled around beside him, his straight face turning slowly into a frown. he felt the tears escape his eyes, and rush down his flustered cheeks. he didn't want to cry, but he couldn't stop the waterfall from running down his face. "one day, i'll see you again. i'll make you all proud, i will, as your little cheetah - and that's a promise."
