        MELANIE Chu is too familiar with the itchy,  tingly sensation that always lingers in the back of her neck.  It calls out to her,  begging her to reach back and card her fingers through her hair to relieve the hot feeling.  It likes to whisper in her ear and plead for her to do whatever she could to just ease the symptom for just a second.  No matter how hard Melanie tried to ignore the pleas or whatever she did to try to get rid of it,  it always returned and came back stronger.  It consumed every part of her life that she developed severe migraines instead of a feeble itch,  especially after her sixteenth birthday.  Left her bedridden for days on end if she didn't try to elevate the pain.  If she didn't drink till she blacked out or got high off her ass that she was on cloud eleven.  Pain inched its way into every crevice and joint of Melanie Chu's frail body.  Everything ached and pulsated in dull,  sharp jolts.  The girls life just became one endless cycle of pain,  until she moves to Forks,  Washington eight months after her birthday.  In Forks,  Melanie found her salvation and perhaps,  her destruction.
