Sonakshi took dev to her bedroom. her bedroom was beautiful a perfect bedroom for a girl chic and polished. Vintage lamps, light purple paint coordinated with white furniture and luxurious pieces. Dev got a fresh and aesthetic vibe which he admired so much. He liked dark colours but today suddenly he wanted to have a combination of dark and light.

Sonakshi was busy in shooting daggers at him. The man standing in front of her was complete trouble. She had a wild feeling of pulling his hairs out of his head and kick his ass so hard that he would bounce till the hell like a football.

"Beautiful "

"Excuse me "

She snapped making him jerk his innocent thoughts away.

"Your room it's beautiful. Everything is well coordinated "

"Thanks my brother gifted me the interiors "

"Brother. You have a brother "

"My cousin brother. He is an interior designer. My bedroom was his first project.  He is skilled in his field "

She answered him with a pride expression. Dev noted her personality change. She was acting all fake and wild but when her brother popped up her featured relax and she talked right from her.

"Where is he now? "

" London. He is in London. He is working on his dream project there. His name is lakshaya"

"You miss him "

" Yes. But work is important "

"Yeah "

He said taking a step towards the vintage lamp whose design attracted him the most.
But his leg twisted due to the carpet on the floor which resulted in him to land on bed caging Sonakshi under him. Sonakshi due to the sudden incident opened her mouth to shout when he immediately covered her mouth with his palm and signalled her ' shh!!!!'.

This all happened in a second. What if she shouts and the whole crowd gathers here.

She looked at him with side-eyes. What the hell just happened! Dev adored her facial posture. She was beautiful and elegant. He liked everything about her.

"Move "

She called out for him. But our boy was all lost in la-la land.

"Move " ( loudly)

" huh!"

"Move.you are heavy my legs are paining "

He immediately composed himself and helped Sonakshi to balance herself. She sat on her bed comfortably.

"Sorry. I just got misbalanced. Are you okay? "

"Yes. I am fine. "

"So you are still studying? "

"Yes "

Her short answers were making things difficult for dev.

"What about you "

She asked she always had a chirpy habit to converse things her decisions of staying silent will always backfire.He chuckled and took a seat beside her.

"I am working. I handle my dad's business"

"Oh! A business that's boring "

Shit. He will snap at you now. Gone you are gone Sonakshi.

Dev laughed at her comment. She was so different. 

"For me it's interesting. For you, it's not. No problem. Everyone has there own interests. What's yours "

She stared at him blankly. He was really asking her about his aspirations.

"Sonakshi "

"Huh! Sorry, I just zoned out "

"Yeah, I got that. Now please tell me what is your dream. "

" I want to pursue law."

"Wow. Law, that's interesting. The law books are quite interesting."

A smile made its way on her lips. She liked this. She liked this conversation.

"How do you know? "

She was eager like a small child.

"My best friend is a lawyer. "

"Oh wow! That's awesome "

She laughed and crossed her legs in excitement.

"You know I love everything about that you told me - "

A servant knocked at the door breaking their interesting conversation calling them down. He got up and looked at her.

"Let's go "

He said signalling her to follow him.

"Dev "
She called out for him.

"Yes "

"I want to ask something. Umm - You know I was. actually - "

"Yes. The answer to your question is yes. "

" But you never heard my question "

" But I guessed it "

"Dev. Listen to me. "

"Later Sonakshi.  Now common we are needed down. "

He took her hand in his and took her to there parents.

Ragini looked at there entwined hands. A wave of pleasure blessed her and she hugged  Sonakshi with a smile.

"I knew it. I knew this.  You are so lovely. I know my son he will like you. I am so happy today.  Thank you, God, for blessing with such a  beautiful daughter. Prakash Ji, we must do it now. I hope you remember it. "

"Remember what mom? "

" you both are getting engaged right now "

"What "

Sonakshi was scared. What was she talking about? Engagement. No! She was not ready. Before she could deny Prakash headed towards Sonakshi encircling his hand on her shoulder. He engulfed her into a hug.

"Do the engagement "
( he whispered in her ear)

She looked at him with a sad expression.
Ragini smiled and looked at dev.

" Mom. Don't you think this is fast "

"Nothing is fast. We liked Sonakshi. You liked Sonakshi. And this is just an engagement, so do it. "

Dev nodded helplessly.  His mom was such a manipulator. He can't win from her.

The ring she wore was the stamp that she was his. The ring was proof that her life was handed to another man. No one asked for her approval.

Everyone just passed there statement and she nodded to everyone 's demand.

Asha and Prakash were happy and satisfied. Dev's parents were so cheerful. They were nice but what about her. She was scared and vulnerable.

She just wanted to cry her heart out.
